Parashat 47 Portion 155 ‘’Re eh’’ Dev 12:20-13:12 Is 42:18-25 Jn 8:31-59

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to actively study Torah. Please YHVH, our Elohim, sweeten the words of Your Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Israel. May we and our offspring, and the offspring of Your people, the House of Israel, may we all, together, know Your Name and study Your Torah for the sake of fulfilling Your desire. Blessed are You, YHVH, Who teaches Torah to His people Israel. Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, Who chose us from all the nations and gave us the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein

כִּי-יַרְחִיב ‘’when He will enlarge…’’

“..from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates…”Gen 15:18’’ - God's Promise - gave Israel More than 2 Million square Kilometers! Israel would be more than 100 times larger than its current size of about 20,770 square km!’’

Our understanding of our redemption will also be enlarged.

Deu 12:20  “When יהוה your Elohim enlarges your border as He has promised you, and you say, ‘Let me eat meat,’ because you long to eat meat, you eat as much meat as your being desires.

Deu 12:21  “When the place where יהוה your Elohim chooses to put His Name is too far from you, then you shall slaughter from your herd and from your flock which יהוה has given you, as I have commanded you, and you shall eat within your gates as much as your being desires.

Deu 12:22  “Only, as the gazelle and the deer are eaten, so you are to eat of it. The unclean and the clean alike eat of it.

Deu 12:23  “Only, be strong not to eat the blood, for the blood is the life, do not eat the life with the meat.

Deu 12:24  “Do not eat it, you pour it on the earth like water.

Deu 12:25  “Do not eat it, that it might be well with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the eyes of יהוה

Deu 12:26  “Only, the set-apart gifts which you have, and your vowed offerings, you are to take up and go to the place which יהוה chooses.

Deu 12:27  “And you shall make your ascending offerings, the meat and the blood, on the slaughter-place of יהוה your Elohim. And the blood of your slaughterings is poured out on the slaughter-place of יהוה your Elohim, and you eat the meat.

Deu 12:28  “Guard, and obey all these words which I command you, that it might be well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.

Why all the talk about slaughterings and blood? Because NO ONE WILL EVER ENTER INTO THE PRESENCE OF YHVH WHO THINKS THEY DESREVE TO BE THERE.

Warning Against Idolatry – which has imprisoned ALL of mankind.

The word ‘’Elohim’’ is repeated 17 x in the next few verse.

The Name Elohim has something to do with powers: The Powers That Be;

Maimonides wrote: "I must premise that every Hebrew [now] knows that the term Elohim is a homonym, and denotes God, angels, judges, and the rulers of countries ..."

Homonym noun - each of two or more words having the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings and origins

Deu 12:29  “When יהוה your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,

Deu 12:30  guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’[c] Footnote: cSee also Deu_18:9, Lev_18:3, Jer_10:2, Ezk_11:12 and Ezk_20:32, Eph_4:17, and 1Pe_4:3.

Eph 4:17  So this I say, and witness in the Master, that you should no longer walk as the nations walk,[c] in the futility of their mind,

Deu 12:31  “Do not do so to יהוה your Elohim, for every abomination which יהוה hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones.

‘’The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are around 73 million induced abortions each year worldwide. This is equivalent to about 200,000 abortions per day.’’

Deu 12:32  “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it.[d] Footnote: dSee also Deu_4:2, Pro_30:6, Rev_22:18-19

Deu 13:1  “When there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he shall give you a sign or a wonder,

Deu 13:2  and the sign or the wonder shall come true, of which he has spoken to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other mighty ones – which you have not known – and serve them,’

Deu 13:3  do not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for יהוה your Elohim is trying you to know whether you love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being.

Deu 13:4  “Walk after יהוה your Elohim and fear Him, and guard His commands and obey His voice, and serve Him and cling to Him.

Deu 13:5  “And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams is put to death, because he has spoken apostasy against יהוה your Elohim – who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim and ransomed you from the house of bondage – to make you stray from the way in which יהוה your Elohim commanded you to walk. Thus you shall purge the evil from your midst.

This is one of the major signs of apostacy and false leaders – they will subtly, sometimes even in the name of religion, persuade the masses that they are ‘’God’s’’ gifted and called out servants that will guide you and bring you into a life of blessing and abundance – but never do – its all just an illusion of the real truth.

Deu 13:6  “When your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own being, entices you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other mighty ones’– which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers,

Deu 13:7  of the mighty ones of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth –

Deu 13:8  do not agree with him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pardon him, nor spare him or conceal him,

Deu 13:9  but you shall certainly kill him. Your hand is first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people,

Deu 13:10  and you shall stone him with stones until he dies, because he sought to entice you away from יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage.

Deu 13:11  “And let all Yisra’ěl hear and fear, and not again do any such evil matter as this in your midst.

Deu 13:12  “When you hear someone in one of your cities, which יהוה your Elohim gives you to dwell in, saying,

Deu 13:13  Some men, sons of Beliya‛al, have gone out of your midst and led the inhabitants of their city astray, saying, “Let us go and serve other mighty ones” ’ – mighty ones whom you have not known –

When it comes to understanding and obeying YHVH the scriptures says - Isa 42:18  “Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, and see. Isa 42:19  “Who is blind but My servant, or deaf as My messenger (‘’mIshulam’’ one who is in a covenant with YHVH) whom I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace, and blind as servant of יהוה? Isa 42:20  “You see much, but do not guard; ears are open, but do not hear.” Isa 42:21  It has delighted יהוה, for the sake of His righteousness, to make the Torah great and esteemed. Isa 42:22  But this is a people robbed and plundered, all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses. They have become a prey, with no one to deliver – for plunder, and no one to say, “Restore!” (or return ‘’shuv’’) Jn 8:31-59

Isa 42:23  Who among you gives ear to this, pays attention and hears for the time to come?

Isa 42:24  Who gave Ya‛aqo for plunder, and Yisra’ěl to the robbers? Was it not יהוה, He against whom we sinned? For they would not walk in His ways, and they did not obey His Torah!

Isa 42:25  So He has poured on him His burning displeasure and the strength of battle, and it set him on fire all around, yet he did not understand. And it burned against him, yet he did not take it to heart!

Many Christians and Jews will be shocked to discover how bound they truly are. They are in bondage because of their disobedience, and they are powerless to escape from their prisons.

Rom 11:32  For Elohim has shut them all up to disobedience, (Jew and Gentile) in order to have compassion on all. Rom 11:33  Oh, the depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of Elohim! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways! Hosea 3:5

Rom 8:19  For the intense longing[a] of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of Elohim. Footnote: aLit. anxiously looking with outstretched head

Rom 8:20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not from choice, but because of Him who subjected it, in anticipation,

Rom 8:21  that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage to corruption into the esteemed freedom of the children of Elohim.

Rom 8:22  For we know that all the creation groans together, and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

Rom 8:23  And not only so, but even we ourselves who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Rom 8:24  For in this expectation we were saved, but expectation that is seen is not expectation, for when anyone sees, does he expect it?

Rom 8:25  And if we expect what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance. Heb 11:1

In Ancient Greek, the aorist verb is used in the aorist indicative tense in unrealized past conditional sentences(aorist means undefined not yet a reality but in is the process of becoming reality) eg ‘’ the faith cannot become a reality without obedience. For 1000 years (in the millennium reign) Yashua is going to teach the remnant bride and the nations the reality of perfect obedience to the Torah. For centuries the church has been teaching that this is a ‘’done deal’’ yet in reality it is  in the process of becoming a done deal in our lives.

Gal 3:22  But the Scripture has shut up (Gk word is aorist) all mankind under sin, that the promise by belief in (Gk ‘’of’’) יהושע Messiah might be given to those who believe.

Gal 3:23  But before (the) belief came,(Gk aorist – before the coming of the faith accompanied by obedience) we were being guarded under Torah, having been shut up for the belief being about (impending) to be revealed. (the faith that brings us into the presence of the Almighty)

Gal 3:24  Therefore the Torah became our trainer (Gk ‘’pedagogos’’ or boy leader) unto Messiah, in order to be declared right by belief.

Gal 3:25  And after (the) belief has come, (aorist – now at the coming of the faith) we are no longer under a trainer. (‘’the faith’’ that will bring you into the presence of the Father)

Gal 3:26  For you are all sons of Elohim through (the) belief in Messiah יהושע

Churchmen are quick to state that now in Messiah we no longer need a ‘’boy leader’’ or the Torah. If this was true why are churchmen unable or willing to obey the Torah?

Because like us, we still need the Torah (boy leader) to bring us to Messiah. (also still for the next 1000 years)

This Torah portion is teaching us what Paul said in 2Ti 4:3  For there shall be a time when they shall not bear sound teaching, but according to their own desires, they shall heap up for themselves teachers tickling the ear,[b] Footnote: b Isa_30:10, Jer_5:31, Rom_16:18

2Ti 4:4  and they shall indeed turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.

2Ti 4:5  But you be sober in all matters, suffer hardships, do the work of an evangelist, accomplish your service completely.

2Ti 3:7  always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2Co 1:22  who also sealed us, and gave the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

you were sealed with the Set-apart Spirit of promise,

Eph 1:14  who is the pledge of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His esteem.

כִּי-יַרְחִיב ‘’when He will enlarge…’’ our understanding of our redemption will also be enlarged.

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah – Amein.

Parashat 46 Portion 154 ‘’Ekev/Re eh’’ Deut 11 :10- 12 :19

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to actively study Torah. Please YHVH, our Elohim, sweeten the words of Your Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Israel. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah

כי הארץ אשׁר – '’the land’’ or the inheritance of those whom YHVH has chosen and enabled to receive.

Deu 11:10  “For the land which you are going in to possess is not like the land of Mitsrayim from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden,

Deu 11:11  but the land which you are passing over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of the heavens,

Deu 11:12  a land which יהוה your Elohim looks after. The eyes of יהוה your Elohim are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the latter end of the year.

Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov would say:

There are two types of fields: an irrigated field, and a field watered by rain.

The scholar's soul is an irrigated field, devotedly developed and nurtured by her farmer. The soul of the simple Hebrew is a rain-nourished field, surrendering herself to the whims of the heavens, humbly awaiting blessing and stimulation from above.

The irrigated field yields a harvest that is superior, in quantity and quality, to that of her passive sister. But the rain-watered field is a truer, purer reflection on her Heavenly Maker.

Paul, himself, speaking as a learned man goes on to say: (true wisdom will always recognize the power of simplicity)

1Co 1:18  For the word of the stake (cross) is indeed foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of Elohim.

1Co 1:19  For it has been written, “I shall destroy the wisdom of the wise, and set aside the learning of the learned ones.”[a] Isa_29:14. Footnote: aSee Mat_11:25, Rom_1:22

1Co 1:20  Where is the wise? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Has not Elohim made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1Co 1:21  For since, in the wisdom of Elohim, the world through wisdom did not know Elohim, it pleased Elohim through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

1Co 1:22  And since Yehuim ask a sign, and Greeks seek wisdom,

1Co 1:23  yet we proclaim Messiah impaled, to the Yehuim a stumbling-block and to the Greeks foolishness,

1Co 1:24  but to those who are called – both Yehuim and Greeks – Messiah the power of Elohim and the wisdom of Elohim.

1Co 1:25  For the foolishness of Elohim is wiser than men, and the weakness of Elohim is stronger than men.

1Co 1:26  For look at your calling, brothers, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble.

1Co 1:27  But Elohim has chosen the foolish matters of the world to put to shame the wise, and Elohim has chosen the weak of the world to put to shame the strong.

1Co 1:28  And Elohim has chosen the low-born of the world and the despised, and the ones that are not, that He might bring to naught the ones that are,

1Co 1:29  so that no flesh should boast in His presence.

1Co 1:30  And of Him you are in Messiah יהושע, who became for us wisdom from Elohim, righteousness also, and set-apartness and redemption,

1Co 1:31  that, as it has been written, “He who boasts, let him boast in יהוה.” Jer_9:23-24

Deu 11:13  And it shall be that if you diligently obey My commands which I command you today, to love יהוה your Elohim and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your being,

Deu 11:14  then I shall give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain, and your new wine, and your oil.

Deu 11:15  And I shall give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be satisfied.

Deu 11:16  Guard yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other mighty ones and bow down to them.

Deu 11:17  Then the displeasure of יהוה shall burn against you, and He shall shut up the heavens, and there be no rain, and the land not give its increase. And you shall perish quickly from the good land which יהוה is giving you. (no ‘’yetzer ha ra’’ in the millennial rule)

Deu 11:18  And you shall lay up these Words[b] of Mine in your heart and in your being, and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Footnote: bSee footnote at Deu_5:22

Deu 11:19  And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up,

Deu 11:20  and shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,

Deu 11:21  so that your days and the days of your children are increased on the soil of which יהוה swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens on the earth.

Deu 11:22  For if you diligently guard all these commands which I command you, to do it, to love יהוה your Elohim, to walk in all His ways, and to cling to Him,

Deu 11:23  then יהוה shall drive out all these nations before you, and you shall dispossess greater and stronger nations than you.

Deu 11:24  Every place on which the sole of your foot treads is yours: from the wilderness, and Leanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea is your border.

Deu 11:25  No man shall stand against you. יהוה your Elohim shall put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, as He has spoken to you.

(Scriptures in the ‘’mezzuza’’ Exodus 13:1-10, 11-16; Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 11:13-21).

Most people today may not like the millennium.

How would you like a world without the following: no cell phones, no computers, no internet, no television, no indoor plumbing, no motor cars, no doctors or dentists, no banks or credit cards, no aeroplanes, no shops or shopping malls, no electricity, no churches, no mosques, no guns, no war, no mega cities only small towns and villages – very few people living on earth, no super rich people, no secret societies, no national or international sporting events and no jelly babies or ice cream. Who even wants to live in a world like this?

1Co 7:31  and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the scene (Gk circumstances) of this world is passing away.

2Pe 3:7  And the present heavens and the earth are treasured up by the same Word, being kept for fire, to a day of judgment and destruction of wicked men.

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Psa_90:4

2Pe 3:9  יהוה is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.b Footnote: b 1Ti_2:4

2Pe 3:10  But the day of יהוה shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11  Seeing all these are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in set-apart behaviour and reverence,

2Pe 3:12  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of Elohim, through which the heavens shall be destroyed, being set on fire, and the elements melt with intense heat!

2Pe 3:13  But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth Isa_65:17, Isa_66:22 in which righteousness dwells.

Zep 3:8  “Therefore wait for Me,” declares יהוה, “until the day I rise up for plunder. For My judgment is to gather nations, to assemble reigns, to pour out on them My rage, all My burning wrath. For by the fire of My jealousy all the earth shall be consumed. (all Hebrew letters of the alphabet found in this verse)

The Conversion of the Nations

Zep 3:9  “For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean (Heb ‘’purged’’) lip,b so that they all call on the Name of יהוה, to serve Him with one shoulder. Footnote: bOr language

Zep 3:10  “From beyond the rivers of Kush my worshippers, the daughter of My dispersed ones, shall bring My offering.

Zep 3:11  “In that day you shall not be put to shame for any of your deeds in which you have transgressed against Me, for then I shall remove from your midst your proud exulting ones, and you shall no more be haughty in My set-apart mountain.

Zep 3:12  “But I shall leave in your midst an oppressed and poor people, and they shall trust in the Name of יהוה

Zep 3:13  “The remnant of Yisra’ěl shall do no unrighteousness and speak no falsehood,[c] nor is a tongue of deceit found in their mouth. For they shall feed their flocks and lie down, with none to frighten them.”

Why is YHVH bringing judgment on the Whole Earth?

Isa 24:1  See, יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants.

Isa 24:2  And it shall be – as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor;

Isa 24:3  the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word.

Isa 24:4  The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish.

Isa 24:5  For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torot,a changedb the law, broken the everlasting covenant.c Footnotes: aTorot - plural of Torah - teaching. b Jer_23:36. cSee also Isa_13:9, Isa_13:11, Isa_26:21, Isa_66:24, Mic_5:15, Zep_1:2-18

Isa 24:6  Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

The most important activity of the millennium will be walking in obedience to all of YHVH’s Torah.

The Mountain of YHVH

Isa 2:1  The word that Yeshayahu the son of Amots saw concerning Yehuah and Yerushalayim:

Isa 2:2  And it shall be in the latter days that the mountain of the House of יהוה is established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations shall flow to it.

Isa 2:3  And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Ya‛aqo, and let Him teach us His ways, and let us walk in His paths, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the Word of יהוה from Yerushalayim.”

Isa 2:4  And He shall judge between the nations, and shall reprove many peoples. And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither teach battle any more.

Isa 2:5  O house of Ya‛aqo, come and let us walk in the light of יהוה.

Parashat ‘’Reeh’’

Deu 11:26  See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:

Deu 11:27  the blessing, when you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I command you today;

Deu 11:28  and the curse, if you do not obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other mighty ones which you have not known.

Deu 11:29  And it shall be, when יהוה your Elohim has brought you into the land which you go to possess, that you shall put the blessing on Mount Gerizim (cut off ones) and the curse on Mount Ěyal. (bare or bald)

Deu 11:30  Are they not beyond the Yarděn, toward the setting sun, in the land of the Kena‛anites who dwell in the desert plain opposite Gilgal, beside the terebinth trees of Moreh?

Deu 11:31  For you are passing over the Yarděn to go in to possess the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you, and you shall possess it and dwell in it,

Deu 11:32  and shall guard to do all the laws and right-rulings which I am setting before you today.’

YHVH’s Chosen Place of Worship

Deu 12:1  “These are the laws and right-rulings which you guard to do in the land which יהוה Elohim of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the soil.

Deu 12:2  "Completely destroy all the places where the nations which you are dispossessing served their mighty ones, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.

Deu 12:3  “And you shall break down their slaughter-places, and smash their pillars, and burn their Ashěrim with fire. And you shall cut down the carved images of their mighty ones and shall destroy their namea out of that place. Footnote: aThe names of the gentile deities (mighty ones).

Deu 12:4  “Do not do so to יהוה your Elohim,

Deu 12:5  but seek the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His Name there, for His Dwelling Place, and there you shall enter.

Deu 12:6  “And there you shall take your ascending offerings, and your slaughters, and your tithes, and the contributions of your hand, and your vowed offerings, and your voluntary offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock.

Deu 12:7  “And there you shall eat before יהוה your Elohim, and shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which יהוה your Elohim has blessed you.

Deu 12:8  “Do not do as we are doing here today – each one doing whatever is right in his own eyes.[b] Footnote: bSee Jdg_17:6 and Jdg_21:25

Deu 12:9  “Because you have not yet entered the rest and the inheritance which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.

Deu 12:10  “But you shall pass over the Yarděn, and shall dwell in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to inherit, and He shall give you rest from all your enemies round about, and you shall dwell in safety.

Deu 12:11  “And it shall be, that unto the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses to make His Name dwell there, there you are to bring all that I command you: your ascending offerings, and your slaughters, and your tithes, and the contributions of your hand, and all your choice offerings which you vow to יהוה

Deu 12:12  “And you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim, you and your sons and your daughters, and your male servants and your female servants, and the Lěwite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

Deu 12:13  “Guard yourself that you do not offer your ascending offerings in every place that you see,

Deu 12:14  except in the place which יהוה chooses, in one of your tribes, there you are to offer your ascending offerings, and there you are to do all that I command you.

Deu 12:15  “Only, whatever your being desires you shall slaughter and eat, according to the blessing of יהוה your Elohim which He has given you, within all your gates. The unclean and the clean do eat of it, of the gazelle and the deer alike.

Deu 12:16  “Only, the blood you do not eat, pour it on the earth like water.

Deu 12:17  “You are not allowed to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or of the firstlings of your herd or your flock, or of any of your offerings which you vow, or of your voluntary offerings, or of the contribution of your hand.

Deu 12:18  “But eat them before יהוה your Elohim, in the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Lěwite who is within your gates. And you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim in all that you put your hands to.

Deu 12:19  “Guard yourself that you do not forsake the Lěwite as long as you live in your land.

I charge you:

1Ti 6:14  that you guard the commandb spotlessly, blamelessly, until the appearing of our Master יהושע Messiah, Footnote: bCommand (singular) often means commands, e.g. Deu_17:20, Psa_19:8

1Ti 6:15  which in His own seasons He shall reveal – the blessed and only Ruler, the Sovereign of sovereigns and Master of masters,

1Ti 6:16  who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or is able to see, to whom be respect and everlasting might. Aměn.

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah – Amein.

Parashat 46 Portion 153 Dev/Deut 10:1-11:9 1 Kings 8:9-18 (return of the ark to the Temple)

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to actively study Torah. Please YHVH, our Elohim, sweeten the words of Your Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Yisrael. May we and our offspring, and the offspring of Your people, the House of Yisrael, may we all, together, know Your Name and study Your Torah for the sake of fulfilling Your desire. Blessed are You, YHVH, Who teaches Torah to His people Yisrael. Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, Who chose us from all the nations and gave us the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah

בעת ההוא אמר ''at that time He said…’’ what time? The time of one of the most monumental failures of Yisrael – the Golden calf – revealing a hidden mystery on how YHVH would deliver us from idolatry. Paul gives us some profound insight into how this is accomplished.

Col 1:24  who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in Messiah’s afflictions, for the sake of His Body, which is the assembly,

Col 1:25  of which I became a servant according to the administration of Elohim which was given to me for you, to fill the word of Elohim, ; (Def ‘’fufill’’ Gk πληρόω – Thayer’s definition -  to cause YHVH’s will as made known in the Torah to be obeyed as it should be – Mat 5:17 ) 90x

Col 1:26  the secret which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His set-apart ones,

Col 1:27  to whom Elohim desired to make known what are the riches of the esteem of this secret among the nations: which is Messiah in you, the expectancy of esteem,

Col 1:28  whom we announce, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, in order to present every man perfect in’' Messiah יהושע

Deu 10:1  “At that time יהוה said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain. And you shall make yourself an ark of wood,

Deu 10:2  then I write on the tablets the Words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. And you shall put them in the ark.’  -

The Torah was always meant to have a resting place - even for the broken pieces of the Torah. The Torah is also best received and understood in the wilderness of our lives – in times of brokenness and despair. The “Aron” was the Set Apart wooden box in which the tablets of the Torah were kept. Today each synagogue has an ‘Aron Kodesh’ a resting place for the Torah scroll. The wooden box reminds us of a fragile storage space, we can compare this to human beings or human clay vessels.

2Co 4:7  And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power might be of Elohim, and not of us –

2Co 4:8  being hard pressed on every side,b but not crushed; being perplexed, but not in despair; Footnote: bSee 1Co_1:8

2Co 4:9  being persecuted, but not forsaken; being thrown down, but not destroyed;

2Co 4:10  always bearing about in the body the dying of the Master יהושע, that the life of יהושע might also be manifested in our body.

2Co 4:11  For we, the living, are always delivered to death for the sake of יהושע, that the life of יהושע might also be manifested in our mortal flesh,

2Co 4:12  so that death indeed is working in us, but the life in you.

The broken pieces of the first stone tablets serve to remind us of the ‘’violence done to the Torah’’ due to man’s idolatry.

Zep 3:4  Her prophets are reckless, treacherous men. Her priests have profaned the set-apart place, they have done violence to the Torah.a Footnote: a Eze_22:26, Luk_16:16

Eze 22:26  “Her priests have done violence to My teaching (Torah) and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst. Footnote: a Zep_3:4, Luk_16:16

Luk 16:16  “The Torah and the prophets are until Yoanan. Since then the reign of Elohim is being announced, and everyone is doing violence (b) upon it. Footnote: bSee Eze_22:26, Zep_3:4. Luk 16:17  “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.

Yahshua – the Torah in the flesh – Jn 1:14 - suffered the most shameful violence at the hands of unrighteous men – taking upon himself the judgment of all those who did violence to the Torah.

Deu 10:3  “So I made an ark of acacia wood, hewed two tablets of stone like the first, and went up the mountain, with the two tablets in my hand.

Deu 10:4  “And He wrote on the tablets according to the first writing, the Ten Words, which יהוה had spoken to you in the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. Then יהוה gave them to me,

Deu 10:5  and I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made. And they are there, as יהוה commanded me.”

To gain a clearer insight into this Torah portion we go back to Parashat ‘’Be ha alotcha’’ when Aharon ascends to kindle the menorah – only the Set Apart Spirit can illuminate the hidden wisdom of YHVH’s Words.

Num 10:33  So they set out from the mountain of יהוה on a journey of three days. And the ark of the covenant of יהוה went before them (לפניהם) for the three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

Num 10:34  And the cloud of יהוה was above them by day when they went out from the camp.

Num 10:35  And it came to be, whenever the ark set out, that Mosheh said, “Rise up, O יהוה! And let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.”

Num 10:36  And when it rested, he said, “Return, O יהוה, to the countless thousands of Yisra’ěl.” (inverted ‘’nun’s)

The journey of the broken Torah is the journey of our redemption - Messiah himself was broken and died for us – gently wrapped in cloth and placed in a tomb – ‘’3 days ago’’

Deu 10:6  Now the children of Yisra’ĕl set out from the wells of Benĕi Yaʽaqan(sons of Edom who twist the truth S1142) to Mosĕrah.( place of chastisement)  Aharon died there, and he was buried there. And Elʽazar his son became priest in his place.

Deu 10:7  From there they set out to Guḏgoḏah, and from Guḏgoḏah(a place of been exposed by ‘’cutting’’ or persecution) to Yotḇathah, (pleasantness) land of rivers of water.

Deu 10:8  At that time יהוה separated the tribe of Lĕwi to bear the ark of the covenant of יהוה, to stand before יהוה, to serve Him, and to bless in His Name, to this day. (a way for the golden ark had now been prepared)

Jer 33:18  And for the priests, the Lěwites, there is not to cease a man to offer ascending offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to slaughter continually.’ ”

Deu 10:9  Therefore Lĕwi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers. יהוה is his inheritance, as יהוה your Elohim promised him.

Deu 10:10  “And I stayed in the mountain for forty days and forty nights. And יהוה heard me at that time also, and יהוה chose not to destroy you.

Deu 10:11  “And יהוה said to me, ‘Arise, go before the people, to set out, and let them go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.’

Deu 10:12  “And now, Yisra’ĕl, what is יהוה your Elohim asking of you, but to fear יהוה your Elohim, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being,

Deu 10:13  to guard the commands of יהוה and His laws which I command you today for your good?

Deu 10:14  “See, the heavens and the heaven of heavens belong to יהוה your Elohim, also the earth with all that is in it.

Deu 10:15  יהוה delighted only in your fathers, to love them. And He chose their seed after them, you above all peoples[1], as it is today. Footnote: 1See also 7:6, 14:2, 26:18, Ps. 135:4 and Amos 3:2. (You can only cross over if you have followed the pattern of this journey)

Deu 10:16  “And you shall circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neck no more.

Deu 10:17  “For יהוה your Elohim is Elohim of mighty ones and Master of masters, the great Ěl, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. (make a deal with Him)

Deu 10:18  “He executes right-ruling for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and a garment.

Deu 10:19  “And you shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim.

Deu 10:20  “Fear יהוה your Elohim. Serve Him, and cling to Him, and swear by His Name.

Deu 10:21  “He is your praise, and He is your Elohim, who has done for you these great and awesome deeds which your eyes have seen.

Deu 10:22  “Your fathers went down to Mitsrayim with seventy beings, and now יהוה your Elohim has made you as numerous as the stars of the heavens.

Deu 11:1  “And you shall love יהוה your Elohim and guard His Charge[1]: even His laws, and His right-rulings, and His commands, always.(Heb ‘’kol ha yamim’’) Footnote: 1See Gen. 26:5.

Deu 11:2  “And you shall know today – for it is not your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of יהוה your Elohim, His greatness, His strong hand and His outstretched arm, (Heb 3:7)

Heb 3:7  Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice,

Deu 11:3  and His signs, and His works which He had done in the midst of Mitsrayim, to Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, and to all his land;

Deu 11:4  and that which He had done to the army of Mitsrayim, to their horses and their chariots, when He made the waters of the Sea of Reeds overflow them as they pursued you, and how יהוה has destroyed them to this day;

Deu 11:5  and what He had done for you in the wilderness till you came to this place;

Deu 11:6  and what He had done to Dathan and Aḇiram the sons of Eliyaḇ, son of Reuḇĕn, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the living creatures that were in their possession, in the midst of all Yisra’ĕl.

Deu 11:7  “For yours are the eyes that saw all the great work of יהוה, which He did.

Deu 11:8  “And you shall guard every command which I command you today, so that you are strong, and shall go in, and shall possess the land which you are passing over to possess,

Deu 11:9  and to prolong your days in the land which יהוה swore to give your fathers, to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Deu 11:10  “For the land which you are going in to possess is not like the land of Mitsrayim from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden,

2 Maccabees 2:4-8 – The End Time Journey of the Ark of the Covenant

[a]The same document also tells how the prophet, in virtue of an oracle, ordered that the tent and the ark should accompany him, and how he went to the very mountain that Moses climbed to behold God’s inheritance. When Jeremiah arrived there, he found a chamber in a cave in which he put the tent, the ark, and the altar of incense; then he sealed the entrance. Some of those who followed him came up intending to mark the path, but they could not find it. When Jeremiah heard of this, he reproved them: “The place is to remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows them mercy. Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will be seen, just as they appeared in the time of Moses and of Solomon when he prayed that the place[b] might be greatly sanctified.”

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah – Amein.

Psa 51:17  The slaughterings of Elohim are a broken spirit, A heart broken and crushed, O Elohim, These You do not despise.

Mat 7:13  “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.

Mat 7:14  “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed[a] which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Footnote: aOr the way is afflicted

Hos 4:6  “My people have perished for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being priest for Me. Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children.
