Parashat 14 (Vayera) Portion 53– Shem/Ex 7:8-8:15 Ps 46:1-12 Joel 3:3 – 16 Rom 3 :1-20 Mat 7 :1-5 Jn 6 :1-4

Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah. Amein.

Exo 7:8  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,

כי ידבר ‘’when(because) he will speak’’ – the focus is on Pharoah’s words because he thinks he is in control. This same arrogance will be revealed again in the last days amongst false so-called anointed leaders and their followers. Many think they have much to say but speak worthless words.

Exo 7:9  “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aharon, ‘Take your rod and throw it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’ ”

Exo 7:10  So Mosheh and Aharon went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as יהוה commanded. And Aharon threw his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

Exo 7:11  But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the practisers of witchcraft. And they, the magicians of Mitsrayim, also did so with their magic.

Exo 7:12  And they, each one, threw down his rod, and they became serpents (Heb ‘’tannim’’ large reptiles, maybe crocodiles). But the rod of Aharon swallowed up their rods.

Exo 7:13  And Pharaoh’s heart was strengthened, and he did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.

Because of his arrogance Pharoah’s heart was hardened. Pharoah thought he was in control, he thought he was more powerful than YHVH and despised His servants and nothing would persuade him to release YHVH’s people from bondage.

Rom 9:17  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this same purpose I have raised you up, to show My power in you, and that My Name be declared in all the earth.” Exo_9:16.

For present day believers the captivity and desperate state of YHVH’s people is hard for us to imagine. However, if we look at the way current events in the world are unfolding its should not be difficult to imagine the future desperate circumstances, we will find ourselves in, in the last days.

For the most part present day believers are unprepared for such harsh realities.

Once again, the Mighty Hand of YHVH will be revealed as He dismantles the strongholds that false religion as well as the anti-messiah will impose on YHVH’s people.

The First Plague: Water Turned to Blood

Exo 7:14  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “The heart of Pharaoh is hard, he refuses to let the people go.

Exo 7:15  “Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he goes out to the water, and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him. And take in your hand the rod which was turned into a serpent.

Exo 7:16  “And you shall say to him, ‘יהוה the Elohim of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, so that they serve Me in the wilderness,” but see, until now you have not listened!

Exo 7:17  ‘Thus said יהוה, “By this you know that I am יהוה. See, I am striking the waters which are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood,

Exo 7:18  and the fish in the river shall die. And the river shall stink, and the Mitsrites shall find it impossible to drink the water of the river.” ’ ”

Exo 7:19  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, “Say to Aharon, ‘Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Mitsrayim, over their streams, over their rivers, over their ponds, and over all their pools of water, that they become blood. And there shall be blood in all the land of Mitsrayim, both in wooden and in stone containers.’ ”

Exo 7:20  And Mosheh and Aharon did so, as יהוה commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the waters that were in the river, in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants. And all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

Exo 7:21  And the fish that were in the river died, and the river stank, and the Mitsrites were unable to drink the water of the river. And the blood was in all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 7:22  And the magicians of Mitsrayim did the same with their magic. And the heart of Pharaoh was strengthened, and he did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.

Exo 7:23  And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and his heart was not moved by this either.

Exo 7:24  And all the Mitsrites dug all around the river for water to drink, for they were unable to drink the water of the river.

Exo 7:25  And seven days were completed after יהוה had struck the river.

The Second Plague: Frogs

Exo 8:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus said יהוה, “Let My people go, so that they serve Me.

Exo 8:2  “But if you refuse to let them go, see, I am smiting all your border with frogs.

Exo 8:3  “And the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and shall come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls,

Exo 8:4  and the frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your servants.” ’ ”

Exo 8:5  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Say to Aharon, ‘Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Mitsrayim.’

Exo 8:6  So Aharon stretched out his hand over the waters of Mitsrayim, and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:7  And the magicians did so with their magic, and brought up frogs on the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:8  Pharaoh then called for Mosheh and Aharon, and said, “Pray to יהוה to take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I shall let the people go to slaughter to יהוה.”

Exo 8:9  And Mosheh said to Pharaoh, “Explain yourself to me: When am I to pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, and remain only in the river?”

Exo 8:10  So he said, “Tomorrow.” And he said, “Let it be according to your word, so that you know that there is no one like יהוה our Elohim.

Exo 8:11  “And the frogs shall turn aside from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people – they shall remain in the river only.”

Exo 8:12  And Mosheh and Aharon went out from Pharaoh. And Mosheh cried out to יהוה concerning the frogs which He had brought against Pharaoh.

Exo 8:13  And יהוה did according to the word of Mosheh. And the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courtyards, and out of the fields.

Exo 8:14  And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.

Exo 8:15  And when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.

Midrash:

If we observe the pattern of these plagues, we see that the first plague is by the river the second at Pharoah’s palace and the third plague is unannounced. It is also interesting to note that the magicians could copy the first two plagues. It almost appears that Pharoah is in control.

This pattern will repeat itself in the last days. We see in Revelation 6 – four horses of the apocalypse-  that the anti-messiah will appear on a white horse - Rev 6:2  And I looked and saw a white horse, and he who sat on it holding a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went out overcoming and to overcome. The anti-messiah will bring a false peace by sword.

It will appear that he and his followers are in control. This is the beginning of the end - Mat 24:5  “For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they shall lead many astray.

Mat 24:6  “And you shall begin to hear of fightings and reports of fightings. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7  “For nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places.

Mat 24:8  “And all these are the beginning of birth pains.

Rev 6:3  And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”

Rev 6:4  And another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was given to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another. And a great sword was given to him.

We see here once again the anti-messiah like Pharoah believes he is in control. The great sword means he wields great power. Many in the world will mistakenly think this is the final great war.

Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A measure of wheat for a denarius,[e] and three measures of barley for a denarius.[e] And do not harm the oil and the wine.” Footnote: eRoman monetary unit - a day’s wage.

Once again the citizens of the world will become more and more dependent on the anti messiah for food – ‘’ And do not harm the oil and the wine.” Possibly the wealthy and the connected will not be as affected as the masses.

Rev 6:7  And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”

Rev 6:8  And I looked and saw a green horse.[f] And he who sat on it had the name Death,g and She’olg followed with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.h Footnotes: fTraditionally rendered as pale; Gk. Chloros. Zec_6:3. g Hos_13:14. h Eze_5:12, Eze_5:17, Eze_14:13-19.

Once again we see the anti-messiah still has some authority to cause much hardship and many people will loose their lives (about 2 billion) In fact before believers are called to escape into the wilderness of the nations the anti-messiah will declare war against the set apart ones and overcome them - Eze 20:35  “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there.

Eze 20:36  “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master יהוה.

Eze 20:37  “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant,

Eze 20:38  and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. From the land where they sojourn I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’ěl. And you shall know that I am יהוה.

Rev 13:7  And it was given to him to fight with the set-apart ones and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation.

Rev 13:8  And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him.

It is comforting to see that from the fourth plague onwards in Egypt- Israel was protected in Goshen

In the book of Revelation we see that there will also be two witnesses in the last days that will bring all kinds of disasters and judgments upon the earth.

The Two Witnesses

Rev 11:1  And a reed like a measuring rod was given to me, and the messenger stood, saying, “Rise and measure the Dwelling Place of Elohim, and the slaughter-place, and those worshipping in it.

Rev 11:2  “But cast out the court which is outside the Dwelling Place, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations, and they shall trample the set-apart city under foot for forty-two months.

Rev 11:3  “And I shall give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clad in sackcloth.”

Rev 11:4  These are the two olive trees Eze_4:3 and the two lampstands that are standing before the Elohim of the earth.

Rev 11:5  And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out from their mouth and consumes their enemies. And if anyone wishes to harm them, he has to be killed in that way.

Rev 11:6  These possess authority to shut the heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. And they possess authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they wish.

Rev 11:7  And when they have ended their witness, the beast coming up out of the pit of the deep shall fight against them, and overcome them, and kill them,

Rev 11:8  and their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Seḏom and Mitsrayim, where also our Master was impaled,

Rev 11:9  and some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be placed into tombs,

Rev 11:10  and those dwelling on the earth rejoice over them and exult. And they shall send gifts to each other, because these two prophets tortured those dwelling on the earth.

Rev 11:11  And after the three and a half days a spirit of life from Elohim entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Rev 11:12  And they heard a loud voice from the heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up into the heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Rev 11:13  And in that hour there came to be a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. And in the earthquake seven thousand men were killed, and the rest became afraid and gave esteem to the Elohim of the heaven.

Rev 11:14  The second woe is past, and see, the third woe is coming speedily.

The Seventh Trumpet

Rev 11:15  And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

When will these events be? -Dan 9:27  “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste.”[a] Footnote: a Mat_24:15. ‘’

This is the time to run, not before or after because then He will provide protection and provision.

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah – Amein.

Parahat 14 (Va-era) Portion 52 Ber/Gen 6:2 – 7:18 Is 42:8-16 + 21 Mk 5:25-34 Rom 2:17-29 Jn 5: 41-44

Bless YHVH the blessed One; Blessed is YHVH, the blessed One for all eternity. Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah. Amein.

According to the sages the three most important gifts YHVH gave His people can only come after much suffering - the Torah, the land of Yisrael and the coming Messianic age.

These sages sadly omit that the most precious gift ever given to man was Yahshua Ha Mashiach – he too endured unimaginable suffering to reconcile us to His Father and establish and unite the assembly of called out ones - to return them to the Promised Land; to the Torah and to be a blessing to all the nations of the world.

Pharoah is a kind of satan, an ‘’anti-Christ’’ his name means “great house; great Civilization; Joining; Confederation.

‘’The greatest error of the United States of Egypt was that it didn't follow her dreamers (Yosef) but instead valued the concerns of her lesser visionaries, who insisted that national security comes from centralized treasuries (Exodus 1:11). People who understand money know that wealth comes from money's velocity (money moving in righteous directions ) People who don't understand money believe that wealth comes from hoarding money in vaults. (Bad mistake.)

An unrighteous government aims for its own survival and works to restrict free trade and does not allow the people to develop the maturity to self-govern. Such a government enslaves its people and harvests it for its labour’’ https://www.abarim- publications.com/Meaning/Pharaoh.html#.XkuWl7FMTIU

Exo 6:2  And Elohim spoke to Mosheh and said to him, “I am יהוה.

וארא אל אברהם

Exo 6:3  “And I appeared (Va-era) to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, as Ěl Shaddai. And by My Name, יהוה, was I not known to them?

“YHVH” is not one of “God’s” names – it is His only Name. Other titles, like “El Shaddai,” are not strictly names but means of describing YHVH. Previously YHVH made Himself known through Avraham, Yitzchak and Yakov. YHVH was now also going to reveal Himself to a nation of people called ‘’Yisrael’’.

To illustrate we examine some of the root words found in YHVH’s Name – from the Hebrew dictionary.

1.      ‘’hava’’-noun - hey vav hey – ruin destruction calamity

2.      ‘’hava’’ verb – yud vav hey - to cause to be, to create

3.      ‘’hove’’ grammar - yud vav hey– present tense.

From these root stems we learn that for YHVH everything is timeless and exists in the present. YHVH transcends time and space, whereas man is limited for now to a time space world. Also YHVH creates and causes to exist as well as destroy that which exists.

In the context of this parasha we see YHVH is about to destroy Pharoah’s Egypt who refuses to set YHVH’s people free.

Isa 42:8  “I am יהוה, that is My Name, and My esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols. (Heb ‘’pesil’’ something carved or created by your own imagination)

Isa 42:9  “See, the former predictions have come, and new ones I am declaring; before they spring forth I let you hear them.”

Isa 42:14  “I have kept silent from of old, I have been still and held Myself back. Like a woman in labour I now cry out, I pant and gasp at once. (He can’t hold back anymore)

Isa 42:15  “I lay waste mountains and hills, and I dry up all their plants. And I shall make rivers become coastlands, and I dry up pools.

Isa 42:16  “And I shall lead the blind by a way they have not known – in paths they have not known I lead them. I make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These matters I shall do for them, and I shall not forsake them.

Isa 42:17  “Those who trust in idols,(Heb ‘’bapasel’’ or the carving)  who say to the moulded images, ‘You are our mighty ones,’ shall be turned back, utterly ashamed.

Isa 42:21  It has delighted יהוה, for the sake of His righteousness, to make the Torah great and esteemed.

Isa 42:22  But this is a people robbed and plundered, all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses. They have become a prey, with no one to deliver – for plunder, and no one to say, “Restore!”

Eze 20:5  “And you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “On the day when I chose Yisra’ĕl and lifted My hand in an oath to the seed of the house of Yaʽaqoḇ, and made Myself known to them in the land of Mitsrayim, I lifted My hand in an oath to them, saying, ‘I am יהוה your Elohim.’

Eze 20:6  “On that day I lifted My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, the splendour of all lands.

YHVH has chosen to make Himself known through a redeemed people called ‘’Yaher – El’’ or Yisrael.

Exo 6:4  “And I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Kenaʽan, the land of their sojournings, in which they have sojourned. (the patriachs)

Exo 6:5  “And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yisra’ĕl whom the Mitsrites are enslaving, and I have remembered My covenant.

Exo 6:6  “Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am יהוה, and I shall bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites, and shall deliver you from their enslaving, and shall redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments,

Exo 6:7  and shall take you as My people, and I shall be your Elohim. And you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites.

Exo 6:8  ‘And I shall bring you into the land which I swore to give to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, to give it to you as an inheritance. I am יהוה.’ ”

       1. In this covenant we know that YHVH is “bringing us out” This Hebrew verb is imperfect and reminds us that this deliverance from Egypt is not yet over.

       2. In this covenant we know “His deliverance” from their enslaving.  The Hebrew verb “natsal” (also imperfect) can mean “to snatch away or rescue” from their enslaving.

       3. In this covenant YHVH “takes” us as His people and we get to “know” Him as our Elohim.

       4. In this covenant we anticipate our return to the land of Yisrael – our inheritance.

Four verbs in Exodus/Shemot 6:6-7 form the basis for the Rabbinic requirement of four cups at the Passover seder: I will take you out, I will keep you out, I will redeem you and I will make you mine.

Exo 6:9  And Mosheh spoke thus to the children of Yisra’ĕl, but they did not listen to Mosheh, because of shortness of spirit, and from hard slavery. (many will be so overwhelmed when they see the judgments of YHVH)

Exo 6:10  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Exo 6:11  “Go in, speak to Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, to let the children of Yisra’ĕl go out of his land.”

Exo 6:12  And Mosheh spoke before יהוה, saying, “The children of Yisra’ĕl have not listened to me, and why would Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?” (in his own flesh this could not be done)

Exo 6:13  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, and gave them a command for the children of Yisra’ĕl and for Pharaoh, sovereign of Mitsrayim, to bring the children of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 6:14  These are the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Re’uḇĕn, the first-born of Yisra’ĕl: Ḥanoḵ and Pallu, Ḥetsron and Karmi. These are the clans of Re’uḇĕn.

Exo 6:15  And the sons of Shimʽon: Yemu’ĕl, and Yamin, and Ohaḏ, and Yaḵin, and Tsoḥar, and Sha’ul the son of a Kenaʽanite woman. These are the clans of Shimʽon.

Exo 6:16  These are the names of the sons of Lĕwi according to their generations: Gĕreshon, and Qehath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Lĕwi were one hundred and thirty-seven.

Exo 6:17  The sons of Gĕreshon: Liḇni and Shimʽi according to their clans.

Exo 6:18  And the sons of Qehath: Amram, and Yitshar, and Ḥeḇron, and Uzzi’ĕl. And the years of the life of Qehath were one hundred and thirty-three.

Exo 6:19  And the sons of Merari: Maḥli and Mushi. These are the clans of Lĕwi according to their generations.

Exo 6:20  And Amram took for himself Yoḵeḇeḏ, his father’s sister, as wife. And she bore him Aharon and Mosheh. And the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven.

Exo 6:21  And the sons of Yitshar: Qoraḥ, and Nepheḡ, and Ziḵri.

Exo 6:22  And the sons of Uzzi’ĕl: Misha’ĕl, and Eltsaphan, and Sithri.

Exo 6:23  Aharon took to himself Elisheḇa, daughter of Amminaḏaḇ, sister of Naḥshon, as wife. And she bore him Naḏaḇ, and Aḇihu, Elʽazar, and Ithamar.

Exo 6:24  And the sons of Qoraḥ: Assir, Elqanah, and Aḇiyasaph. These are the clans of the Qorḥites.

Exo 6:25  And Elʽazar, Aharon’s son, took for himself one of the daughters of Puti’ĕl as wife. And she bore him Pineḥas. These are the heads of the fathers of the Lĕwites according to their clans.

Exo 6:26  This is Aharon, and Mosheh, to whom יהוה said, “Bring out the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of Mitsrayim according to their divisions.”

Exo 6:27  They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, to bring out the children of Yisra’ĕl from Mitsrayim. This is Mosheh, and Aharon.

Exo 6:28  And it came to be, on the day when יהוה spoke to Mosheh in the land of Mitsrayim,

Exo 6:29  that יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, “I am יהוה. Speak to Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim all that I say to you.”

Exo 6:30  And Mosheh said before יהוה, “See, I am of uncircumcised lips, and why would Pharaoh listen to me?”

Exo 7:1  So יהוה said to Mosheh, “See, I have made you an elohim1 to Pharaoh, and Aharon your brother is your prophet. Footnote: 1Or mighty one – see footnote at 4:16.

Exo 7:2  “You shall speak all that I command you, and Aharon your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, to let the children of Yisra’ĕl go out of his land.

Exo 7:3  “But I am going to harden the heart of Pharaoh, and shall increase My signs and My wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 7:4  “And Pharaoh is not going to listen to you, and I shall lay My hand on Mitsrayim, and bring My divisions and My people, the children of Yisra’ĕl, out of the land of Mitsrayim by great judgments.

Exo 7:5  “And the Mitsrites shall know that I am יהוה, when I stretch out My hand on Mitsrayim. And I shall bring the children of Yisra’ĕl out from among them.”

Exo 7:6  And Mosheh and Aharon did as יהוה commanded them, so they did.

Why is the Torah teaching us these things?  What happened to our forefathers will also happen to us. We will all be subject to terrible and cruel slavery in the last days before Messiah returns.

Exo 7:7  Now Mosheh was eighty years old and Aharon eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

Exo 7:8  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,

Exo 7:12  And they, each one, threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But the rod of Aharon swallowed up their rods.

Mat 24:24  “For false messiahs (false anointed ones) and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Mat 24:25  “See, I have forewarned you.

Isa 8:20  To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no daybreak.[a] Footnote: aOr light.

The magicians repeat the miracle but they change their rods into crocodiles – Hebrew word “tannin”(large reptile) This speaks of trying to give the serpent much more power and credit than he deserves. It is sad to see how many believers give the devil so much credit and exaggerate his powers to frighten or impress people.

Exo 7:13  And Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.

Exo 7:16  “And you shall say to him, ‘יהוה the Elohim of the Heḇrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, so that they serve Me in the wilderness,” but see, until now you have not listened!

1Jn 3:8  … For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.[c] Footnote: cSee Tit_2:14.

All those whom He called will all be faced with this decision – there is a time to leave – the timing is critical.

Luk 14:26  “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate[a] his father and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and his own life too, he is unable to be My taught one. Footnote: aTo love less. Luk 14:27  “And whoever does not bear his stake and come after Me is unable to be My taught one.

Exo 4:18  Then Mosheh went and returned to Yithro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Mitsrayim to see whether they are still alive.” And Yithro said to Mosheh, “Go in peace.”

Exo 4:19  And יהוה said to Mosheh in Miḏyan, “Go, return to Mitsrayim, for all the men are dead who sought your life.”

Mat 2:14  And rising up, he took the Child and His mother by night and departed for Mitsrayim,

Mat 2:15  and remained there until the death of Herodes, to fill what was spoken by יהוה through the prophet, saying, “Out of Mitsrayim I have called My Son.” Exo_4:22-23, Hos_11:1, Rev_21:7.

Exo 4:20  So Mosheh took his wife and his sons and set them on a(the) donkey, and he returned to the land of Mitsrayim. And Mosheh took the rod of Elohim in his hand.  (See also Ex 18:1-7)

“the donkey” (ha chamor) – the sages believe this was Messiah’s  donkey. Some sages believed that Messiah would come on a donkey to bring deliverance to Yisrael. Messengers of deliverance travel with great humility – on the donkey - Zec 9:9

Exo 4:21  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “As you go back to Mitsrayim, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I am going to harden his heart, so that he does not let the people go.

Exo 4:22  “And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus said יהוה, “Yisra’ĕl is My son, My first-born,

Exo 4:23  so I say to you, let My son go to serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, see, I am killing your son, your first-born.”

This is the first time Yisrael is referred to as a nation, not only a nation amongst nations, but the nation referred to as YHVH’s first born son. A nation who had assimilated; a nation who most probably up to that point never established their covenant with YHVH by circumcising their sons.

Exo 4:24  And it came to be on the way, in the lodging place, that יהוה met him and sought to kill him.

Exo 4:25  And Tsipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and threw it at Mosheh’s feet, and said, “You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me!”

Exo 4:26  So He let him go. Then she said, “You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.

It is possible that on this occasion Moshe sent Tsipporah away. We see that Tsipporah is only mentioned again after this event in Shemot- Exo 18:2  And Yithro, Mosheh’s father-in-law, took Tsipporah, the wife of Mosheh – after he had sent her back, (or after her dismissal – Heb ‘’shiluach’’) See also Yasher chap 79

Tsipporah may have had great difficulty in accepting her husband’s call by YHVH to deliver the Israelites form Egypt. This may have proved to be a great disruption to their family life and future plans. ‘’She hadn’t signed up for this’’

Mar 10:29  יהושע said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for the sake of Me and the Good News, Mar 10:30  who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come, everlasting life.

Mat 10:36  and a man’s enemies are those of his own household.[d] Mic_7:6.

Exo 4:27  And יהוה said to Aharon, “Go to meet Mosheh in the wilderness.” And he went and met him on the mountain of Elohim, and kissed him. (Mount Sinai is where spiritual leaders meet to discuss the liberation of YHVH’s people- Ex 19:1 – three- month journey) see also Gal 1:17 Paul spent some time after his call at mount Sinai.

Exo 4:28  Mosheh then told Aharon all the words of יהוה who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.

Exo 4:29  And Mosheh went with Aharon and gathered together all the elders of the children of Yisra’ĕl.

Exo 4:30  And Aharon spoke all the words which יהוה had spoken to Mosheh. Then he did the signs before the eyes of the people.

Exo 4:31  And the people believed. And they heard that יהוה had visited the children of Yisra’ĕl and that He had looked on their affliction, and they bowed their heads and did obeisance.

Exo 5:1  And afterwards Mosheh and Aharon went in and said to Pharaoh, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘Let My people go, so that they keep a festival to Me in the wilderness.’ ”

Exo 5:2  And Pharaoh said, “Who is יהוה, that I should obey His voice to let Yisra’ĕl go? I do not know יהוה, nor am I going to let Yisra’ĕl go.”

Exo 5:3  And they said, “The Elohim of the Heḇrews has met with us. Please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness and slaughter to יהוה our Elohim, lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”

The Yisraelites may not have been exaggerating when they feared the consequences of not obeying the command of Moshe to go out into the wilderness for three days. At this time in the history of the nation of Yisrael they had so assimilated into the Egyptian society that they had forsaken the ancient paths of their faith. Some sages believe that by the time Yisrael was to leave Mitsrayim they had fallen to the 49th level of assimilation into pagan society. They say there were just one step away from complete assimilation and complete loss of their identity as descendants of Yakov. Today there remains a great danger of assimilation into the anti Torah, ‘’anti- Semitic’’ ‘’woke’’ culture of the modern world.

Exo 5:4  But the sovereign of Mitsrayim said to them, “Mosheh and Aharon, why do you take the people from their work? Get back to your burdens.”

Exo 5:5  And Pharaoh said, “See, the people of the land are many now, and you make them cease from their burdens!”

Exo 5:6  And the same day Pharaoh commanded the slave-drivers of the people and their foremen, saying,

Exo 5:7  “You are no longer to give the people straw to make bricks as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Exo 5:8  “And lay on them the required amount of bricks which they made before, do not diminish it. For they are idle, that is why they cry out, saying, ‘Let us go and slaughter to our Elohim.’

Exo 5:9  “Let more work be laid on the men, so that they labour in it, and not pay attention to words of falsehood.”

Exo 5:10  And the slave-drivers of the people and their foremen went out and spoke to the people, saying, “Thus said Pharaoh, ‘I do not give you straw.

Exo 5:11  ‘Go, take straw for yourselves, wherever you find it, for your work shall not be diminished.’

Exo 5:12  And the people were scattered in all the land of Mitsrayim – to gather stubble for straw.

Exo 5:13  And the slave-drivers were hurrying them on, saying, “Complete your work, your daily amount, as when there was straw.”

Exo 5:14  Also the foremen of the children of Yisra’ĕl, whom Pharaoh’s slave-drivers had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not completed your task in making bricks both yesterday and today, as before?”

Exo 5:15  And the foremen of the children of Yisra’ĕl came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you treat your servants this way?

Exo 5:16  “There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, ‘Make bricks!’ And see, your servants are beaten, but your own people are at fault.”

Exo 5:17  But he said, “You are idle! You are idle! That is why you say, ‘Let us go and slaughter to יהוה.’

Exo 5:18  “So now go, work. And straw is not given to you, but deliver the amount of bricks.”

Exo 5:19  And the foremen of the children of Yisra’ĕl saw that they were in trouble after it was said, “You are not to diminish your daily amount of bricks.”

Exo 5:20  And when they came out from Pharaoh, they met Mosheh and Aharon who stood there to meet them.

Exo 5:21  And they said to them, “Let יהוה look on you and judge, because you have made us loathsome in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants, to give a sword in their hand to kill us.”

Exo 5:22  And Mosheh returned to יהוה and said, “יהוה, why have You done evil to this people? Why did You send me?

Exo 5:23  “For ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your Name, he has done evil to this people. And You have not delivered Your people at all.”

Exo 6:1  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Now see what I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he is going to let them go, and with a strong hand he is going to drive them out of his land.”

According to Jasher chapter 80 it would take another two years before the plagues began. Two years of unbearable pain and suffering. What is the message to us today?

Amo 5:18  Woe to you who are longing for the day of יהוה! What does the day of יהוה mean to you? It is darkness, and not light, Amo 5:19  as when a man flees from a lion, and a bear shall meet him; or entered his house, rested his hand on the wall, and a serpent shall bite him. Amo 5:20  Is not the day of יהוה darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it? Amo 5:21  “I have hated, I have despised your festivals, and I am not pleased with your assemblies.

The United Nations has a program called ‘’Agenda 21’’ – it is the so called ‘’Sustainable Global Development Agenda’’ The following two You Tube videos explain what’s happening.

DEMOCRATS AGAINST U.N. AGENDA 21 - VIDEOS (democratsagainstunagenda21.com)

This present world with all its citizens is about to face the greatest challenges that any group of people have had to face any time in history.

Jer 30:7  Oh! For great is that day, there is none like it. And it is the time of Ya‛aqoḇ’s distress, but he shall be saved out of it. Jer 30:11  For I am with you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to save you. Though I make a complete end of all nations[a] where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a complete end of you. But I shall reprove you in judgment, and by no means leave you unpunished.’ Footnote: aSee Jer_46:28, Isa_34:2, Isa_45:17, Dan_2:44, Amo_9:8, Hag_2:22.

Jer 30:12  “For thus said יהוה, ‘Your breach is incurable, your wound is grievous. Jer 30:24  The burning displeasure of יהוה shall not turn back until He has done and established the purposes of His heart. In the latter days you shall understand it.[b] Footnote: bSee Jer_23:20.

Very few leaders are willing or prepared to warn or prepare the people of how truly terrible and horrific the coming days are going to be. It paralyzes the mind, it is unthinkable and seems impossible that such severe conditions will prevail in our time and they will go from bad to worse until YHVH delivers us.

How does one prepare themselves for such events?

There is no way we can prepare ourselves for what is about to happen. We are all going to be taken captive and will have very little control over our lives or circumstances, perhaps no control whatsoever.

How do you prepare for such a time? You cannot!

1Co 10:13  No trial has overtaken you except such as is common to man, and Elohim is trustworthy, who shall not allow you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the trial shall also make the way of escape, enabling you to bear it.

Many of us will not make it. Death may even be a way of escape for some, but not for all.

To resist this future globalist agenda will prove fruitless that will become more and more brutal until Messiah comes to deliver us. When you think things can’t get worse – they will.

This is not a popular message and will be rejected by most people living on the earth today.

Mat 24:37  “And as the days of Noaḥ, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be. Mat 24:38  “For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noaḥ entered into the ark, Gen_7:7. Mat 24:39  and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be.

Very, very few people were prepared for what came. So, it shall be once again in the last days.

‘’Is 6:13 … The set-apart seed is its stump!”

In the end only the stump of the tree will be left – total and complete devastation- beyond recognition.

Luk 21:28  “And when these matters begin to take place, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah – Amein.
