The dwelling place of YHVH with man is the focal point
of Torah. Every regulation, instruction and teaching of the Torah was intended
to prepare a dwelling place for YHVH amongst His people.
YHVH has chosen
to dwell in our clay vessels by placing His Ruach – Spirit – within us. Yet His
intention has never changed – YHVH still desires and prepares communities that
will more fully reflect His goodness and His nature.
It is no co incidence that in this Torah portion that
the number 50 appears in different forms, fifty being the number for the year
of Jubilee – a time for return and restoration of our inheritance in the Reign
and Rule of YHVH.
Ultimately YHVH is leading His people to the place –
The New Yerushalayim – where He will physically dwell with.
The whole purpose of
the tabernacle/dwelling place in the wilderness.
Exo 25:8 “And they shall make Me a Set-apart Place,
and I shall dwell in their midst.
Exo 25:9 “According to all that I show you – the
pattern of the Dwelling Place and the pattern of all its furnishings – make it
exactly so.
We are building a
house of Yovel – Jubilee.
