(Bless YHVH the blessed One;
Blessed is YHVH, the blessed One for all
eternity. Blessed are you,
YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe,
you have selected us from among
all the peoples, and have
given us your Torah.
Gen 35:9 And Elohim appeared to Yaʽaqoḇ again, when he came
from Paddan Aram, and blessed him.Gen 35:10 And Elohim said to him,
“Your name is Yaʽaqoḇ, your name is no
longer called Yaʽaqoḇ, but
Yisra’ĕl is your name.” So He called his name
Yisra’ĕl. Gen 35:11 And
Elohim said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai. Bear fruit
and increase, a nation and
a company of nations shall be from you, and
sovereigns come from your
body. Gen 35:12
“And the land which I gave Aḇraham
and Yitsḥaq I give
give this
land.” Gen 35:13
And Elohim went up from him in the place where He
had spoken With
him. Gen 35:14
And Yaʽaqoḇ set up a standing
column in the place
where He had spoken with him, a monument of stone. And
he poured a
drink offering on it, and he poured oil on it. Gen
35:15 And Yaʽaqoḇ
called the name of the place where Elohim spoke
with him, Bĕyth Ěl.
This the classic journey of a Hebrew – You cross
over (Heb –‘’avar’’) the
Euprates to go to Ysrael. In the process you are
given a New name - Rev
2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give Some
of
the hidden
manna to eat. And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a
renewed Name written which no one knows except
him who receives it.”
(Pergamum) Rev 3:12 “He who overcomes, I shall
make him a supporting
post in the
Dwelling Place of My Elohim, and he shall by no
means go out.
And I shall write on him the Name of My Elohim and the name of
the city of My Elohim, the renewed Yerushalayim,
which comes
down out
of the heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed Name. (Phildelphia)
There is an order in the Kingdom – YHVH initiates,
man responds.
We see again and again in the Torah and even in our
own lives a
pattern of man seeking to initiate and expecting
YHVH to
respond. YHVH decides when He shall appear and
reveal Himself
to man.
Joh 6:44 “No one is able to come to Me unless the
Father who
sent Me draws him. And
I shall raise him up in the last day.
Joh 5:19 Therefore יהושע responded and
said to them, “Truly, truly, I say
to you, the Son is able to do none at all by Himself, but
only that which
He sees the Father doing, because whatever He does, the
Son also
likewise does. Joh 5:30 “Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I
hear, I judge, and My
judgment is righteous because I do not seek My
own desire, but the
desire of the Father who
sent Me. Joh 15:5 “I am the
vine, you are the
branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears
much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do naught!
Dan 11:35 “And some of those who have insight
shall stumble, to
refine them, and to cleanse them, and to make them
white, until the
time of the end, for it is still for an appointed
time.
Here follows a quote
from the second president of USA - John Adams –
1825 to 1829.-“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes,
exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did
not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less
proud, less selfish, less ambitious, or less avaricious(greedy) than
aristocracy or monarchy. It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appears in
history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple
government, and when unchecked, produce the same effects of fraud,
violence, and cruelty.” Only a very small remnant will return to Ysrael in
the last days - Isa 1:9 Unless יהוה of hosts had left to us a small remnant,
we would have become like Seḏom, we would have been made like Amorah.
In the last days a very small remnant of Yakov’s sheep will usher in a Theocracy (rule of YHVH) and a constitution for governance based entirely on the Torah of Moshe rabbeinu – Moshe our rabbi as followed and taught by Yahshua the Messiah – see Matt 5:17-19.
Gen 35:16
Then they set out from Bĕyth Ěl. And it came to be,
when there was but a little distance to go to
Ephrath, that Raḥĕl
began to give birth, and had great difficulty
giving birth.
Gen 35:17
And it came to be, as she was having great difficulty
giving birth, that the midwife said to her, “Do not
fear, for it is
another son for you.” Gen 35:18 And it came to be, as her life
was going out – for she died – that she called his
name Ben-Oni.
But his father called him Binyamin.
Note Rachel like Leah gave names to all the sons of
Yisrael. Yet in
the birth of this last son – Yakov steps in and
changes the name.
In the Hebrew mind, the name of a child often
reflects the destiny
of the child. Should not the fathers be taking more
initiative in
giving their children names?
Gen 35:19 So
Raḥĕl died and was buried
on the way to Ephrath,
that is Bĕyth Leḥem.
Gen 35:20 And Yaʽaqoḇ set a standing
column on her grave, which is the monument of Raḥĕl’s grave to
this day. Gen 35:21
And Yisra’ĕl set out and pitched his tent beyond the
tower of Ěḏer.
