Parashat 53 Portion 173 ‘’Ha azinu’’ Deut 32:1-52 Is 1:2-9 +16-27

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein

To better understand this Torah portion, we need to look at the end time scenario when this song will be sung by the survivors of the great tribulation.

Rev 15:3  And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones!

We notice Moshe calls heaven and earth to witness these prophetic warnings. He then contrasts YHVH’s faithfulness with the corrupt ways of His chosen people. YHVH had chosen Israel from all the people of the earth but ‘’Jeshurun’’ grew fat and forsook the Elohim who made them and spurned the rock of their salvation – therefore YHVH hid His Face from Israel and declared:  Deu 32:21  “They made Me jealous by what is not Ěl, They provoked Me with their worthless matters. But I make them jealous by those who are no people,  בלא־עם I provoke them with a foolish nation. בגוי נבל.

Moreover because of their disobedience YHVH will drive them into exile (galut) by sword and persecution. Both young and old will be ravished by disease and the cruelty of many enemies. In fact if it had not been for YHVH’s concern for His reputation amongst the goyim, He would have destroyed Israel from the face of the earth:   Deu 32:26  “I said, ‘I should blow them away, I should make the remembrance of them To cease from among men, Deu 32:27  If I did not fear the enemy’s taunt, Lest their adversaries misunderstand, Lest they say, “Our hand is high, And יהוה has not done all this.” ’

Israel should, therefore, realize that is only through YHVH’s providence and kindness that they are sustained as a people to this very day.

Despite the calamities and misfortunes of YHVH’s people who would suffer a long exile, ‘’Ha azinu’’ ends with the promise that YHVH would avenge the blood of His servants and would finally be reconciled with His chosen people in the land given to Abraham. YHVH’s faithful love for Israel is assured. The portion ends with Moshe ascending Mount Nebo so that he could see the promised land before he died.

Some Sages claim that the entire prophecies of Isaiah and Jeremiah were deeply inspired and modelled after the words of this song of Moshe.

The Wickedness of Judah

Isa 1:2  Hear, O heavens, and listen,  והאזיני  O earth! For יהוה has spoken, “I have reared and brought up children, but they have transgressed against Me.

Isa 1:3  An ox knows its owner and a donkey its master’s crib – Yisra’ěl does not know, My people have not understood.”

Isa 1:4  Alas, sinning nation, a people loaded with crookedness, a seed of evil-doers, sons acting corruptly! They have forsaken יהוה, they have provoked the Set-apart One of Yisra’ěl, they went backward.

Isa 1:5  Why should you be stricken any more? You continue in apostasy! All the head is sick, and all the heart faints.

Isa 1:6  From the sole of the foot, to the head, there is no soundness in it – wounds and bruises and open sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment.

Isa 1:7  Your land is laid waste, your cities are burned with fire, strangers devour your land in your presence. And it is laid waste, as overthrown by strangers.

Isa 1:8  And the daughter of Tsiyon is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

Isa 1:9  Unless יהוה of hosts had left to us a small remnant, we would have become like Seom, we would have been made like Amorah

Jer 30:11  For I am with you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to save you. Though I make a complete end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a complete end of you. But I shall reprove you in judgment, and by no means leave you unpunished.’ וְנַקֵּה לֹא אֲנַקֶּךָּ ‘’not hold you innocent repeated twice. (you are not innocent children of YHVH, truly you are not innocent)

The sages expressed concern that this song hints at another “deity”, and have “altered” parts of the text to try and avoid this confusion. There has been much confusion over this song.

In the ‘’sefer Torah’’ this song is written in 70 lines in two different columns.

Line 1.Dev 32:1 “Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak; - (right hand side) vs 1.

א  הַאֲזִינוּ הַשָּׁמַיִםוַאֲדַבֵּרָה;

Both the seen and unseen realm are been addressed by YHVH.

Note the Hebrew word “give ear” is “ha azinu” it is a hiphyl imperative verb. The Hebrew word used here for ‘’speak’’ is “ve adaberah” this is a cohortative verb which means that the speaker wishes to emphasize desire and intention. The words that are about to be spoken are extremely important. ‘’For your own sake you better listen to them very, very carefully.’

Line1 (b)  and  hear, O earth, The words (sayings) of my mouth. (Left hand side)

Isa 8:20  To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no daybreak.a Footnote: aOr light.

Line 2. Dev 32:2 “Let my instruction fall as rain, (right side)

“Allow My instruction to be as a trickling rain”

ערף (araph) means ‘’to drip’’ – like a gentle rain.

The noun לקח (lekach) means teaching power or persuasiveness - The verb לִקְחִ (lakach) means to take – all of YHVH’s teaching was meant to be taken.

Mat 11:28  "Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.

Mat 11:29  “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings.d Footnote: d Jer_6:16

Mat 11:30  “For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.”

Line 2b My sayings shall drop down (distil) as dew – vs 2 (left side)

His gentle sayings fall gently on teachable hearts –

These sayings are likened to rain that falls on the soil and evaporates תִּזַּל and produces a night mist כַּטַּל  above germinating seedlings.

Line 3. As fine rain כשׂעירם on the tender plants, vs 2 right hand side.

Sa'ir was the ordinary Hebrew word for "he-goat", and it is not always clear what the word's original meaning might have been. But in early Jewish thought, represented by targumim and possibly 3 Baruch, along with translations of the Hebrew Bible such as the Peshitta and Vulgate, the se'īrīm were understood as demons.

Line 3(b) And as showers on the grass.

כרביבים or heavy or harsh showers  damaging young seedlings.

Line 4. Dev 32:3 “For (because) I will call on the Name of יהוה,

4(b)   Ascribe greatness to our Elohim.

Have hope (יָהַב hope) in the magnitude גֹּדֶל in YHVH our Elohim.

5.     Dev 32:4 “The Rock! His work is perfect,

1Co 10:4  and all drank the same spiritual drink.(Ruach) For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah.

5(b)  For all His ways are right-ruling, vs 4

All the rulings and judgments of Messiah are correct.

6.     An Ěl of truth and without unrighteousness, (iniquity) vs 4

An Elohim of faithfulness without unrighteousness. (Messiah)

6(b)

Messiah is upright יָשָׁר and a צַדִּיק a righteous one.

Line 7.     Dev 32:5

Deu 32:5  “A twisted and crooked generation has corrupted itself, Their blemish, they are not His children

Which should literally read “he became perverted or corrupt for/to him, not his sons/children the moral stains of them”. This could also read “he became corrupt with the moral stains that were not his but those of other sons.”

In verse 5 the English translation is difficult to separate because words from both the right and the left side of the scroll are mixed up - Is corruption His? No; His children's is the blemish; a generation crooked and perverse.

7(b)   a generation perverse and twisted (wrestling with itself)” referring to the sons of men on earth. Vs 5

A generation perverse and twisted and morally torturous.

8.    Dev 32:6 “Do you do this to יהוה, (is this the way you repay Yahveh?)

Note the enlarged “hey” in the Torah scroll. It possibly means ‘’Is this the way you treat YHVH’s Messiah?

8(b) O foolish and unwise people – left hand side.

You are a foolish people (both Jew and gentile)

9.  Is He not your Father, who bought you, vs 6

Did YHVH not purchase us with the blood of His son?

1 Cor 6:20 says we have been bought with a price!!!

9(b) Who created you and established you.

The One who made you עָשְׂךָ and restored you. ויכננך - kûn

10.Dev 32:7 “Remember the days of old,

10(b) Consider the years of many generations.

Understand the years from generation to generation.

YHVH has an amazing track record, we should carefully consider.

11Ask (beg) your Father and let him show you, (He will make it known to you)

11(b) Your elders, and let them say to you:

זְקֵנֶיךָ וְיֹאמְרוּ לָךְ

Those who sit at the gates (zekanim -the bearded ones ) who have wisdom and discernment,

12.Dev 32:8 “When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance (allotments)

See Gen 11:1-9  why Babylon? – the beginning of nations.

12(b) When He separated (parted פּרד) the sons of Aam,

In rabbinic tradition, "70 nations" refers to the division of humanity into 70 distinct groups or peoples, often associated with the story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis. This number represents the different languages and cultures that emerged after the dispersion of people at Babel. The concept of 70 nations is significant in Jewish tradition, symbolizing both the separation of humanity and the potential for future unity

13 He set the boundaries of the peoples

13(b) According to the number of the children of Yisra’ĕl.

Some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, particularly those containing portions of Deuteronomy, offer alternative readings, including "sons of God" or, in some cases, "sons of Adam".

The miraculous catch of 153 large fish in John 21:11   ‘’benei Elohim’’ has a gematria of 153 –

14. Dev 32:9 “For(because) the portion of יהוה is His people,

Israel is described as "YHVH's portion" or YHVH's inheritance."  This signifies that YHVH has chosen Israel as His special people from all the nations.

14(b) Ya’aqov His allotted inheritance.

YHVH’s measured portion חבל is His people – Yakov or Yisrael and all those grafted into Yisrael.

15.Dev 32:10 “He found him in a wilderness,

Heb “yimtzeoo” means “he will find him”

In the last days Messiah’s bride will be found by YHVH in the wilderness again.

15(b) And in a wasted, howling desert.

וּבְתֹהוּ יְלֵל יְשִׁמֹן;

In the midst of the great howling  יְלֵל ‘’chaos’’ תֹהוּ of the end times, His called out ones will find themselves in a desolate wasteland ישׁימון (devasted by the great tribulation) Hos 2:14  “Therefore, see, I am alluring her, and shall lead her into the wilderness, and shall speak to her heart…..See also Eze 20:35  “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there. Jer 4:23

16. He encompassed him, He made him understand,

Deu 8:2  “And you shall remember that יהוה your Elohim led you (cloud by day, fire by night) all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, prove you, to know what is in your heart, whether you guard His commands or not. He will do it again in the last days.

16(b) He watched over him as the apple of His eye.

He is watching over them יִצְּרֶנְהוּ like the pupil כְּאִישׁוֹן of His Eye עֵינוֹ

17.Dev 32:11 “As an eagle stirs up its nest,

As an eagle He will stir up עִיר his nest.

In these last days and especially in final days of the great tribulation YHVH will ‘’awaken’’ His children in His ‘’nest’’

17(b) Flutters over its young,

Over His fledglings chicks  גּוֹזָלָיו   of him he is ‘’vibrating’’ יְרַחֵף see Gen 1:2

2 Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters – Gen 1:2 see also Jer 4:23

18. Spreading יִפְרֹשׂ  out its wings, כְּנָפָיו  taking them up, יִקָּחֵהוּ - snatch, take away (rapture?)

1Th 4:16  Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.

1Th 4:17  Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught (Gk – harpazō -shall be snatched away )away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.

18(b) Bearing (lifting) them on its (his) wings. (pinions)

יִשָּׂאֵהוּ – root ‘’nasa’’ to lift.  עַל-אֶבְרָתוֹ – pinion or outer feathers of the wing.

Additional notes by Rabbi Ginsburgh: “The Messianic Wings”

One of the most potent images in the song of Ha'azinu is the image of the eagle hovering over his nest of fledglings (Deuteronomy 32:11). In this metaphor, YHVH, the eagle, comes to waken the fledglings in his nest, hovers over them, spreads his wings over them and finally lifts them on his wings in redemptive flight through the sky. There are two synonyms for "wings" in this verse: kanaf, whose numerical value is 150, and evrah, whose numerical value is 208. Together, these two words equal 358, the numerical value of Mashiach. The eagle carrying the Hebrew People on his wings is the Mashiach, carrying out his Divine Messianic mission. In the Torah portion of Yitro (Exodus 19:4) God also refers to the redemption from Egypt as redemption "on the wings of eagles." Clearly, the eagle and his wings have messianic implications.

The Hovering Eagle

Before the eagle takes his fledglings on his wings, he must awaken them. The eagle is a massive and powerful bird. If he lands on his nest suddenly, he is liable to crush his fragile fledglings. Thus, our verse illustrates the eagle as hovering over his nest, expressing himself to his fledglings as the most gentle of creatures, manifesting perfect balance and stability. The verb for "hover" rachef, is very rare in the Torah. One of its only other appearances is in the second verse of Genesis, "and the spirit of YHVH hovered over the waters." Our sages explain that this is the spirit of Mashiach. The waters are the waters of teshuvah (repentance), the awakening of the consciousness of the being/soul to return to YHVH. These two expressions of "hovering" are completely complementary. Both point to the awakening of the Hebrew People to the Messianic reality of return to Yahshua. (italics mine)

Touching and Not Touching

In Chassidut the hovering of the eagle is referred to as "touching and not touching." The eagle is able to simultaneously touch and not touch, allowing his fledglings to awaken little by little, in accordance with their ability to grasp his presence. The power to touch is the power to be involved – to inspire the other. Not touching allows the other free choice so that his being/soul can awaken by itself in its desire to ascend toward YHVH. The eagle -- Mashiach -- inspires us while simultaneously and paradoxically allowing us to slowly integrate the new Messianic reality at our own, individual pace.

The Song of the Wings of the Eagle

The Hebrew word for "eagle" is neshernunshinreish. The final two letters of nesher spell shar, which means "song." More than any other word in the song of Ha'azinu, the word shar is the essential syllable of nesher. There are two types of song: verbal song (including poetry) and melody. In Hebrew, "song," which includes poetry, is called shir, as represented by the Hebrew letters shin and reish of nesher. The Hebrew word for "melody" is nigun, which begins with a nun, the first letter of nesher. Thus, nesher is an acronym for the two types of song. Our sages teach that when the eagle approaches his nest he beats his wings to create a song, gently preparing his fledglings for his arrival. To arouse the souls of the Hebrew People and the entire world, each person with his own spark of Mashiach must possess the power of poetry and melody inherent in the eagle.

The Nest

Our verse describes the eagle as arousing (the fledglings in) his nest. Our sages teach that the Mashiach sits in a nest in the Garden of Eden, waiting to redeem the world. The Hebrew word for "nest" is ken, which is cognate to tikun -- "rectification," and also kinyan -- possession. The most perfected possession is the Torah of Mashiach, the song of the wings of the eagle, which begins to resonate as he approaches his fledglings. This Messianic Torah will bring about our rectification as the eagle approaches his nest to gently -- touching and not touching -- arouse his waiting fledglings.

All for the Best

The word for "fledglings" in our verse is gozalav, whose root is gimellamedzayin. These letters are an acronym for a very basic phrase "Gam zu letovah," which means: "This too is for the best." The fledgling waiting to be lifted onto Messianic wings must be awakened to the consciousness that whatever happens to us is for the best, and will ultimately lead to the true and complete redemption. End quote.

19. Dev 32:12 יהוה alone led him, - (Heb נחה or guided them)

19(b) And there was no strange mighty one with him.

נכר – foreign gods or strange Elohim

Isa 43:11  “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.

Isa 45:5  I am יהוה, and there is none else – there is no Elohim besides Me.  I gird you, though you have not known Me,

Isa 45:18  For thus said יהוה, Creator of the heavens, He is Elohim, Former of earth and its Maker, He established it, He did not create it to be empty, He formed it to be inhabited: “I am יהוה, and there is none else.

20. Dev 32:13 “He made him ride in the heights of the earth,

Lit. Heb. states – He caused him to ride on the high places of the high places (Heb –‘’bâmâh’’ technical name for a cultic platform.

Col 2:15  Having stripped the principalities and the authorities, He made a public display of them, having prevailed over them in it.

Php 2:9  Elohim, therefore, has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name,

20(b) And he ate the fruit ‘’tenûbâh’’  of the fields,

Messiah’s harvest of souls – YHVH’s ‘’Keheilah’’

This ‘’harvest of souls’’ will be accompanied by very great feast for believers who will celebrate the riches of all the ill gotten gain and gold of unrighteous beings – both natural and demonic.

‘’Just as Yahweh and his people celebrated with a feast the god’s defeat of the chaos-monsters (which re-created the world and returned it to its initial state of purity), so shall Yahweh and his people celebrate with a feast at his defeat of the Devil (which will create a new world free from all impurity)”.

Indeed, the Feast of Tabernacles itself becomes the cosmic eschatological banquet. This cosmic feast is already mentioned in the Isaianic Apocalypse when, after he has swallowed up Death,

On this Mountain, Yahweh of Hosts will make for all peoples

a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine,

of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. (Is 25:6, ESV) (see also Is 24)

In apocalyptic texts, this festival, the celebration of Yahweh’s defeat of Chaos, is aggrandized to the cosmic festival at the end of time, celebrating Yahweh’s defeat of the Devil.

And rams בְּנֵי or sons of the breed of Bashan, And he goats (attûd)

The name Bashan (בָּשָׁן in Hebrew) often symbolizes abundance and prosperity, reflecting its rich agricultural resources. Before the Israelites conquered it, Bashan was inhabited by the Amorites, a formidable people with a powerful king controlled by demonic forces.

“Tzur yaladecha teshi” the rock which birthed, you neglected  or “Teshi”(with dimished yud)

See chumash p 1104 the fifth line from the top. This word has been emphasized and it has a yud which is half way down from its normal position. Why? Is it speaking of Messiah?

30. And forgot  (shâkach) the Ěl who fathered  חיל you. (travailed for you)

Who danced מְחֹלְלֶךָ over you – this One you forgot.

Note “El” also has a “tittel” in the scroll.

In the Torah sefer this “ El” has a tittel over it ie  Moshe is drawing our attention to a hidden meaning – Elohim or demonic gods.

34. They provoked Me with their worthless matters.

I was troubled by their emptiness.

They have roused Me to jealousy with a no-god

35. I provoke them with a foolish nation. See Rom 11:14י – a people who are not a people.

I will make them jealous with a people who are not a people.

35(b) Dev 32:22 “For a fire was kindled in My wrath (Rev 16)

36. And burns to the bottom of She’ol,

36(b) And consumes the earth and its increase,

This is possibly a reference to the Revelation judgments which end in the battle of Armageddon and the largest earthquake ever to occur on planet earth – this will signal the end of this age and the beginning of the Messianic rule on earth.

37. And sets on fire the foundations of mountains.

37(b) Deu 32:23 “I gather (heap) evils upon them,

38. I use up My arrows upon them –

I will exhaust my arrows in them

38(b) Dev 32:24 “Wasted by scarcity of food, And consumed by heat and

They will be sucked and burnt out

39. bitter destruction,

Heb – the destruction that brings bitterness.

39(b) And the teeth of beasts I send upon them,

They will be ripped to pieces.

40. With the poison of serpents of the dust.

Heb – “im chamat zochlei afar” the rage of the enemy will cause you to want to disappear forever, but it will not happen.

40(b) Deu 32:25 “The sword bereaves from the outside,

Or makes barren, not being able to produce anything worthwhile

41. And fear from within,

Horror from your innermost chambers

41(b)  Both young man and maiden,

42 Nursing child with the man of grey hairs.

From a sucking infant to an old man, no one excluded.

42(b) Deu 32:26 “I said, ‘I should blow them away,

Heb - They shall be scattered in pieces.

43 I should eradicate from men the remembrance of them vs 26

43(b) To cease from among men,

44. Dev 32:27 ‘If I did not fear the enemy’s taunt, Lest their adversaries misunderstand,

Vs 27 Were it not that I dreaded the enemy's provocation

44(b) Lest they say, “Our hand is high,

45. And יהוה has not done all this.” ’

45(b) Dev 32:28 “For they are a nation lost to counsel,

46And there is no understanding in them.

46(b) Dev 32:29 “If they were wise, They would understand this,

47. They would consider their latter end!

47(b) Dev 32:30 “How would one chase a thousand,

How can we be successful against our enemies?

Mat 24:22  “And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.

Yamim Noraim, meaning "Days of Awe" in Hebrew, refers to the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in Judaism. It also encompasses the ten-day period between these two holidays, known as Aseret Yemei Teshuva (Ten Days of Repentance). This period is a time for introspection, self-evaluation, and seeking forgiveness for the past year.

48And two put ten thousand to flight,

As believers we were meant to have victory over our enemies

48(b) Unless their Rock had sold them,

An end time generation will completely overcome by evil forces - Rev 13:7  And it was given to him to fight with the set-apart ones and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation. Rev 13:8  And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him.

49. And יהוה had given them up?

49(b) Dev 32:31 “For their rock is not like our Rock

50 Even our enemies  ôyêb – אויב are judges פְּלִילִים  vs 32

The Father allows even our enemies to judge us and hopefully bring us to our senses.

50(b) Deu 32:32 “Their vine גּפן  is of the vine of Seom – vine of them גַּפְנָם

51And of the fields of Amorah;

Their origins are beyond repair, the very soil is given over to produce iniquity

51(b) Their grapes are grapes of gall,

Gall dysfunction produces bitterness to the body. This kind of bitterness pollutes many others.

52. Their clusters are bitter.

Their increase will also produce bitterness.

52(b) Dev 32:33 “Their wine is the poison of serpents,

53. And the fierce venom of cobras.

There is little chance of survival for those who have been infected with this poison.

53(b) Dev 32:34 ‘Is it not stored up with Me, (me)

YHVH’s help is in Messiah, sealed up in an end time remnant.

54.  Sealed up among My treasures?

Being sealed in My treasuries

Has YHVH  stored up judgment in His treasuries?

54(b) Dev 32:35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and repayment,

Our heavenly Father will judge and reward and remove all impurities.

55. At the time their foot slips;

Many will struggle to stand in the day of adversity.

55(b)  For near is the day of their calamity,

56. And the matters prepared are hastening to them.

56(b) Dev 32:36 “For יהוה rightly rules His people

57. And has compassion on His servants,

57(b) When He sees that their power is gone,

58 . And there is no one remaining, Shut up or at large.

Now YHVH has everyones attention – Humanity has become completely helpless to save itself.

58(b) Dev 32:37 “And He shall say, ‘Where are their mighty ones,

Because the nations relied so heavily upon them and were controlled by them.

59. The rock in whom they sought refuge?

Who was their rock or source?

59(b) Dev 32:38 ‘Who ate the fat of their slaughterings,

They fleeced the flock for their own benefit.

60. And drank the wine of their drink offering?

60(b) Let them arise and help you,

61. Let it be a hiding-place for you!

61(b) Dev 32:39 ‘See now that I, I am He,

62. And there is no Elohim besides Me.

62(b)  I put to death and I make alive.

63. I have wounded, and I heal.

63(b)  And from My hand no one delivers!

64. Dev 32:40 ‘For I lift My hand to the heavens,

64(b) And shall say: As I live forever,

65. Dev 32:41 If I have sharpened My flashing sword,

65(b) And My hand takes hold on judgment,

An upraised hand with a sword (repeated twice) in it speaks of an eminent, severe and total judgment.

66.  I shall return vengeance to My enemies,

66(b)  And repay those who hate Me.

67. Dev 32:42  I make My arrows drunk with blood,

67(b)  And My sword devours flesh,

68.  With the blood of the slain and the captives,

68(b)  From the long-haired enemy chiefs.

Heb - From the head of the enemy  אוֹיֵב commander פַּרְעוֹת – this could be a reference to the anti messiah along with a host of demonic powers that will be unleashed upon the earth in the last days.

69. Deu 32:43  “O nations, acclaim His people *****

Shout out for joy הַרְנִינוּ the nations of Him

Should read “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”

“Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.” is not found in the Masoretic text (500CE).

Explanation:

4 Q is a reference to the Dead Sea Scroll which shows that the Masoretic text which we now use, was tampered with to hide direct references to the Messiah. The Septuagint also bears witness to the tampering. (The Septuagint was a translation by 70 rabbis of the Tenach into Greek 200 years before Messiah appeared) The Masoretic text dates from around 500 C E.

In  Heb 1:6  And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”

Heb 1:6  bow down (worship) to Him (Yahshua) all you Elohim.

Now, if the Apostolic scriptures repeat these words in Deuteronomy 32:43, shouldn't we?

69(b) For He avenges נקם  the blood of His servants

70. And returns vengeance to His adversaries, צר his oppressors vs 43

Could also read “will retaliate against those who reject him”

Yahshua is returning to destroy the enemies of YHVH – both demonic and human.

70(b) And shall pardon His land, His people.”

Should read “ and will cleanse their land”

Heb – and a propitiary shelter (כִפֶּר kipper) will be found in the land of His people.

Perhaps referring to the day of Yom Kippur.

This is where the 70 th line of the two colums stop. (Pehaps a reference to a future Yom ha kippurim)

Deu 32:44  Then Mosheh came, with Hoshěa son of Nun, and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people.

Deu 32:45  And when Mosheh ended speaking all these words to all Yisra’ěl,

Deu 32:46  he said to them, “Set your heart on all the words with which I warn you today, so that you command your children to guard to do all the Words of this Torah.

Deu 32:47  “For it is not a worthless Word for you, because it is your life, and by this Word you prolong your days on the soil which you pass over the Yarděn to possess.”

Moses' Death Foretold

Deu 32:48  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh that same day, saying,

Deu 32:49  “Go up this mountain of the Aarim, Mount Neo, which is in the land of Mo’a, which is opposite Yerio, and look at the land of Kena‛an, which I give to the children of Yisra’ěl as a possession,

Deu 32:50  and die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people, as Aharon your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people,

Deu 32:51  because you trespassed against Me in the midst of the children of Yisra’ěl at the waters of Meriah Qaěsh, in the Wilderness of Tsin, because you did not set Me apart in the midst of the children of Yisra’ěl.

Deu 32:52  “For you are to look at the land before you, but not enter there, into the land which I am giving to the children of Yisra’ěl.”

If Moshe did not make it into the Promised Land – what chance do you and I have?

Our only hope is in the Messiah.

1Co 15:19  If in this life only we have expectation in Messiah, we are of all men the most wretched.  (the best is yet to come – in His kingdom it only gete better and better)

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst.Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Amein.)

Dead Sea Scrolls - The War Scroll - Apocalyptic War Against Belial and the Sons of Darkness

The Bible explicitly mentions a "Book of the Wars of the Lord" in Numbers 21:14-15. This book is described as containing poetic accounts of God's victories over Israel's enemies, potentially including victory songs, curses, and other literary genres. While this book is quoted in the Bible, it is not included as a separate book within the standard canon.

Additional Information:

  • The "Book of the Wars of the Lord" is also referenced in other biblical texts, such as Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, which mention the "Book of Jashar".
  • Some scholars believe the "Book of the Wars of the Lord" and "Book of Jashar" may be the same or closely related works.

Rev 12:4  And his tail draws a third of the stars of the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Rev 12:7  And there came to be fighting in the heaven: Mia’ěl and his messengers fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his messengers fought,

Rev 12:8  but they were not strong enough, nor was a place found for them in the heaven any longer.

Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him.

The final end time of this age where the forces of good led by the arch angel Michael in war against the demonic forces led by Belial.
