Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah.
The
Seventh Plague: Hail
Exo
9:13 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Rise early in the morning and stand before
Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘Thus said יהוה Elohim of the Hebrews, “Let My people go,
so that they serve Me,
כי בפעם הזאת ‘’let there be no doubt that at this time….’’ YHVH is about to
make a complete end of Pharoah and all those who have willingly submitted to his
authority.
Exo 9:14 for at this time I am
sending all My plagues unto (to) your heart, and on your servants and on your
people, so that you know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.
Exo 9:15 “Now if I had
stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, then you
would have been cut off from the earth.
Exo 9:16 “And for this reason I have raised you up, in order to show you My power, and in order to declare My Name in all the earth. (Rom 9:15-29)
YHVH could have said “I have been taking it easy on you up to now, I kept you alive to make an example out of you. Now it is over and I am going to wipe you and your followers off the face of the earth’’ Rom 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this same purpose I have raised you up, to show My power in you, and that My Name be declared in all the earth.” Exo_9:16.
Exo 9:17 “You still exalt yourself against My people in that you do not let them go!
Religion, without exception and the
doctrines of men have placed us all into bondage. The coming end time judgments
are all about destroying the power of this religion over YHVH’s people. The
severity of these judgments clearly indicates the depth of our bondage to
religion- to man’s ideas. The Spirit of
Truth revealed in the Torah exposes all religious deception.
Joh 8:33 They answered Him, “We are the
seed of Aḇraham, and have been servants to no one at any time. How do you say,
‘You shall become free’?” (Really?)
Mat 24:21 “For then there shall be
great distress,[c] such as has not been since the beginning of the world until
this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote: cOr great pressure, or great
affliction.
Mat 24:22 “And if those days were
not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones
those days shall be shortened.
Exo 9:18 “See, tomorrow about this time I am causing very heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Mitsrayim, from the day of its founding until now.
Exo 9:19 “And now send, bring your
livestock to safety, and all that you have in the field, for the hail shall
come down on every man and every beast which is found in the field and is not
brought home, and they shall die.” ’ ”
Exo 9:20 Those among the servants
of Pharaoh who feared the word of יהוה made
their servants and livestock flee to the houses.
Exo 9:21 But those who did not set
their heart on the word of יהוה left
their servants and livestock in the field.
Exo 9:22 Then יהוה said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand
toward the heavens, and let there be hail in all the land of Mitsrayim – on
man, and on beast, and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of
Mitsrayim.”
Exo 9:23 Then Mosheh stretched out
his rod toward the heavens. And יהוה sent
thunder and hail, and fire came down to the earth. And יהוה rained hail on the land of Mitsrayim.
Exo 9:24 Thus there came to be
hail, and fire flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very heavy, such
as had not been in all the land of Mitsrayim since it became a nation.
Exo 9:25 And the hail struck in
all the land of Mitsrayim all that was in the field, both man and beast. And
the hail struck every plant of the field and broke every tree of the
field.
Exo 9:26 Only in the land of
Goshen, where the children of Yisra’ěl were, there was no hail.
Exo 9:27 Pharaoh then sent and
called for Mosheh and for Aharon, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. יהוה is righteous, and my people and I are
wrong. (Remorse but no repentance-2 Cor 7:10))
Exo 9:28 “Pray to יהוה, for there has been enough of the thunder
and hail of Elohim. And I am letting you go, so that you stay no longer.”
Exo 9:29 And Mosheh said to him,
“As soon as I go out of the city, let me spread out my hands to יהוה, let the thunder cease and the hail be no
more, so that you know that the earth belongs to יהוה.
Exo 9:30 “But as for you and your
servants, I know that you do not yet fear before יהוה
Elohim.”
Exo 9:31 And the flax and the
barley were struck, for the barley was in the head and the flax was in
bud.
Exo 9:32 But the wheat and the
spelt were not struck, for they were late crops.
Exo 9:33 And Mosheh went out of
the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to יהוה, and
the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the
earth.
Exo 9:34 And Pharaoh saw that the
rain, and the hail, and the thunder had ceased, yet he sinned again and he
hardened his heart, he and his servants.
Exo 9:35 And the heart of Pharaoh
was strengthened, and he did not let the children of Yisra’ěl go, as יהוה had said through Mosheh. (Rom 9:18 So, then, He
favours whom He wishes, and He hardens whom He wishes.)
It appears that the scribes include only the first of the third set of plagues in this portion. Maybe the gravity of the coming destruction required some pause and serious reflection and a call to repentance. (Rev 8:1)
In the final 42 months of this age
(‘’olam ha ba’’) we have the trumpet and bowls of wrath judgments.
The Trumpet judgments will last until
‘’Yom Teruah’’ it will be at this time we believe that Yahshua will come to
collect His Bride to meet Him in the air – 1Th 4:16 Because the Master Himself
shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger,
and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.
1Th
4:17 Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together
with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always
be with the Master.
1Th 4:18 So, then, encourage one another with these words. (Rev 11:15 sounding of last trumpet)
The bowls of wrath judgments will last 10 days from ‘’Yom teruah’’ to ‘’yom kippur’’ that will finalize YHVH’s judgment on earth for this age and usher in the physical return of Messiah. The rabbis call this period the ‘’yamim noraim’’ days of awe. Some believe that the bowls of wrath are the context for this week’s Torah portion. “Gmar chatima tova” means “a good final sealing” in Hebrew.
The
Seven Bowls of God's Wrath (after
Messiah has taken His Bride to meet Him in the air)
Rev
16:1 And I
heard a loud voice from the Dwelling Place saying to the seven messengers, “Go
and pour out the bowls of the wrath of Elohim on the earth.”
Rev
16:2 And the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and an
evil and wicked sore came upon the men, those having the mark of the beast and
those worshipping his image.
Rev
16:3 And the second messenger poured out his bowl on the sea, and it
became blood, as of a dead one, and every living creature in the sea
died.
Rev
16:4 And the third messenger poured out his bowl on the rivers and
fountains of water, and they became blood.
Rev
16:5 And I heard the messenger of the waters saying, “You are righteous,
O יהוה, the One who is and who was and who shall be, because You have
judged these.
Rev
16:6 “Because they have shed the blood of set-apart ones and prophets,
and You have given them blood to drink. For they deserve it.”
Rev
16:7 And I heard another out of the slaughter-place saying, “Yes, יהוה Ěl
Shaddai, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
Rev
16:8 And the fourth messenger poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was
given to him to burn men with fire.
Rev
16:9 And men were burned with great heat, and they blasphemed the Name of
Elohim who possesses authority over these plagues. And they did not repent, to
give Him esteem.
Rev
16:10 And the fifth messenger poured out his bowl on the throne of the
beast, and his reign became darkened. And they gnawed their tongues from
pain.
Rev
16:11 And they blasphemed the Elohim of the heaven for their pains and
their sores, and did not repent of their works.
Rev
16:12 And the sixth messenger poured out his bowl on the great river
Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order to prepare the way of the
sovereigns from the east.
Rev
16:13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of
the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three
unclean spirits, as frogs,
Rev
16:14 for they are spirits of demons, doing signs, which go out to the
sovereigns of the entire world, to gather them to the battle of that great day
of יהוה the Almighty.
Rev
16:15 “See, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who is staying awake
and guarding his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
Rev
16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Har
Meḡiddo.
The
Seventh Bowl
Rev
16:17 And the seventh messenger poured out his bowl into the air, and a
loud voice came out of the Dwelling Place of the heaven, from the throne,
saying, “It is done!”
Rev
16:18 And there came to be noises and thunders and lightnings. And there
came to be a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not
came to be since men were on the earth.
Rev
16:19 And the great city became divided into three parts, and the cities
of the nations fell. And great Baḇel was remembered before Elohim, to give her
the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. (Babel = religion)
Rev
16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. (see Santorini volcano)
Rev 16:21 And great hail from the heaven fell upon men, every hailstone about the weight of a talent.(70kg) And men blasphemed Elohim for the plague of the hail, because that plague was exceedingly great.
Perhaps
it was the hailstones that crushed 200 million soldiers that caused the blood
flow of 296km.
Rev 14:20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the bridles of the horses, for about one thousand six hundred stadiad. Footnote: dApprox. 296 kilometres or 184 miles.
Haftora:
1Sa
12:6 And Shemu’ěl said to the people, “It is יהוה who appointed Mosheh and
Aharon, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Mitsrayim.
1Sa
12:7 “And now, stand still, so that I judge you before יהוה
concerning all the righteous acts of יהוה which He did to you and your
fathers:
1Sa
12:8 “When Ya‛aqoḇ had come to Mitsrayim, and your fathers cried out to יהוה,
then יהוה sent Mosheh and Aharon, who brought your fathers out of
Mitsrayim and made them dwell in this place.
1Sa
12:9 “But they forgot יהוה their Elohim, so He sold them into the
hand of Sisera, commander of the army of Ḥatsor, and into the hand of the
Philistines, and into the hand of the sovereign of Mo’aḇ. And they fought
against them.
1Sa
12:10 “And they cried out to יהוה, and said, ‘We have sinned,
because we have forsaken יהוה and served the Ba‛als and the Ashtaroth. And now, deliver us
from the hand of our enemies, and we serve You.’
1Sa
12:11 “And יהוה sent Yerubba‛al, and Beḏan, and Yiphtaḥ, and Shemu’ěl, and
delivered you out of the hand of your enemies round about, and you dwelt in
safety.
1Sa
12:12 “And when you saw that Naḥash sovereign of the children of Ammon
came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but let a sovereign reign over us,’ when
יהוה
your Elohim was your sovereign.
1Sa
12:13 “And now, here is the sovereign whom you have chosen and whom you
have asked. And see, יהוה has set a sovereign over you.
1Sa
12:14 “If you fear יהוה, and shall serve Him and obey His voice, and not rebel against
the command of יהוה, then both you and the sovereign who reigns over you shall
follow יהוה your Elohim.
1Sa
12:15 “But if you do not obey the voice of יהוה, and shall rebel against the
mouth of יהוה, then the hand of יהוה shall be against you, as it
was against your fathers.
1Sa
12:16 “And now, stand and see this great matter which יהוה
does before your eyes:
1Sa 12:17 “Is today not the wheat harvest? Let me call to יהוה, so that He sends thunder and rain – know then and see that your evil is great, which you have done in the eyes of יהוה, in asking for yourselves a sovereign.”
Today we
ask for pastors and rabbis to be our kings- Jer 2:8 “The priests did not say, ‘Where
is יהוה?’ And those who handle the Torah did not know Me, and the
shepherds transgressed against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Ba‛al, and
walked after matters that did not profit. Footnote: aSeeJer_10:21,
Jer_12:10-11, Jer_50:6-7. Jer 5:30 “An astounding and
horrible matter has come to be in the land:
Jer 5:31 The prophets have prophesied falsely,[b] and the priests rule by their own hand, and My people have loved it so.c And what are you going to do at the end of it? Footnotes: bSee Jer_27:14-15. c Isa_30:10, 2Ti_4:3.
What
does YHVH have to say to us in the light of the teaching of this Torah portion?
‘’As I appointed Moshe and Aaron to lead My people out of Mitzraim so once again I will appoint My two appointed witnesses (Rev 11) in the last days to lead my people out of the control and tyranny of the ‘’religion of the new world order’’ guided and protected by my 144 000 sealed messengers (Rev 7 and Rev 14).
These
events will take place during great trials and much bloodshed. Most people
living on earth will not survive this judgment. Many including My children will
resist Me and only after severe chastising will repent from their religious deceptions,
including many of the so called Messianic or Hebrew roots believers who came
out of religious institutions to follow Me but continued to receive spiritual
nourishment and influence from the pagan ‘’breast of Rome’’ The house of Yakov
will not go unpunished - Jer 30:11 For I am with you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to save you. Though I make
a complete end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a
complete end of you. But I shall reprove you in judgment, and by no means leave
you unpunished.’ Footnote: aSee Jer_46:28, Isa_34:2, Isa_45:17,
Dan_2:44, Amo_9:8, Hag_2:22.
In those days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh(Joel 2:28) but I will save the tents of Yehudah first – ‘’Zec 12:7 “And יהוה shall save the tents of Yehuḏah first, so that the comeliness of the house of Dawiḏ and the comeliness of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim would not become greater than that of Yehuḏah.
Zec
12:8 “In that day יהוה shall shield the inhabitants of Yerushalayim. And the feeble
among them in that day shall be like Dawiḏ, and the house of Dawiḏ like Elohim,
like the Messenger of יהוה before them!
Zec
12:9 “And it shall be in that day that I seek to destroy all the nations
that come against Yerushalayim.
Him
Whom They Have Pierced
Zec 12:10 “And I shall pour on the house of Dawiḏ and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favour and prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born. Zec 12:11 “In that day the mourning in Yerushalayim is going to be great, like the mourning at Haḏaḏ Rimmon in the valley of Meḡiddo.
‘’And hear this and listen carefully all nations and all inhabitants that remain on earth – you will only see His Face when you will proclaim ‘’blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahshua our Master.’’
Mat
23:38 “See!
Your house is left to you laid waste, Jer_22:5.
Mat 23:39 for I say to you, from now on you shall by no means see Me, until you say, ‘Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of יהוה!’ ” Psa_118:26.
