Gen 39:1 And Yosĕph had been taken down to Mitsrayim. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, a Mitsrite, bought him from the Yishmaʽĕlites who had taken him down there.

א וְיוֹסֵף, הוּרַד
מִצְרָיְמָה; וַיִּקְנֵהוּ פּוֹטִיפַר סְרִיס פַּרְעֹה שַׂר הַטַּבָּחִים, אִישׁ
מִצְרִי, מִיַּד הַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִים, אֲשֶׁר הוֹרִדֻהוּ שָׁמָּה. |
1 And Yosef was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, a eunuch(saris) of Pharaoh's, the chief of executioners, an Egyptian man, bought him from the hand of the Ishmaelites, that had brought him down thither. |
