(Bless YHVH the blessed One; Blessed is YHVH, the blessed
One for all eternity. Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe,
you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah.
Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn)
To gain more insight into this Torah portion we need to
look to the events and conditions that will prevail during the millennium – the
one-thousand-year reign of Messiah from Mount Tzion in Yerushalayim over all
the surviving nations that remain on the earth.
It is evident from the declarations and descriptions
given to us by the prophets that true and everlasting righteousness and set
apartness will have the ascendancy over everything else. ‘’The remains of the
corrupt nature will be so overpowered by the resplendent light of the One true
faith, that every improper desire or action will be suppressed and kept in
subordination, by the power and authority of our Messiah – Yahshua.’’ (W C
Davis – A Treatise on The Millennium)
The Torah ultimately shows and prepares us for life
during the millennium.
Rom
10:4 For Messiah is the goal [b] of the ‘Torah unto righteousness’ to everyone
who believes. Footnote: b Or end purpose; not
termination.
Only Messiah has been given the authority to bring all
matters into subjection to YHVH and to present a ‘’Bride’’ without spot or
wrinkle before his and our Heavenly Father – Eph 5:27; Jude 1:24
1Co
15:27 For “He has put all under His feet.” Psa_8:6 But when
He says “all are put under Him,” it is clear that He who put all under Him is
excepted. (YHVH is excluded)
1Co
15:28 And when all are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself shall
also be subject to Him who put all under Him, in order that Elohim be all in
all.
Deu 12:20 “When יהוה your Elohim enlarges
your border as He has promised you, and you say, ‘Let me eat meat,’ because you
long to eat meat, you eat as much meat as your being desires.
Deu 12:21 “When the place where יהוה
your Elohim chooses to put His Name is too far from you, then you shall
slaughter from your herd and from your flock which יהוה has given you, as I
have commanded you, and you shall eat within your gates as much as your being
desires.
Deu 12:22 “Only, as the gazelle and the deer are
eaten, so you are to eat of it. The unclean and the clean alike eat of
it.
Deu 12:23 “Only, be strong not to eat the blood,
for the blood is the life, do not eat the life with the meat.
Deu 12:24 “Do not eat it, you pour it on the earth
like water.
Deu 12:25 “Do not eat it, that it might be well
with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the eyes of יהוה.
Deu 12:26 “Only, the set-apart gifts which
you have, and your vowed offerings, you are to take up and go to the place
which יהוה chooses.
Deu 12:27 “And you shall make your ascending
offerings, the meat and the blood, on the slaughter-place of יהוה
your Elohim. And the blood of your slaughterings is poured out on the
slaughter-place of יהוה your Elohim, and you eat the meat.
Deu 12:28 “Guard, and obey all these words which
I command you, that it might be well with you and your children after you
forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.
Warning Against Idolatry
Deu 12:29 “When יהוה your Elohim does cut
off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess
them and dwell in their land,
Deu 12:30 guard yourself that you are not ensnared
to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not
inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their
mighty ones? And let me do so too.’c Footnote: cSee also Deu_18:9, Lev_18:3,
