given us your Torah. Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn
Jas 1: Do not go astray, my beloved brothers.
Jas 1: Every good gift and every perfect gift is
from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change,
nor shadow of turning. a Footnote: a See Mal_3:6.
Jas 1:18 Having purposed it, He brought us forth by the
Word of truth, for us to be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.
This weeks Torah
Portion contains the very essence, the DNA of YHVH’s Word – the 10 sayings -‘’asaret
ha devarim’’
Pirkei Avot
– The Ethics of the Fathers- chapter 5 says with 10 utterances the world was
created.
Deu
5:1 And
Mosheh called all Yisra’ěl, and said to them, “Hear, O Yisra’ěl, the laws and right-rulings
which I speak in your hearing today. And you shall learn them, and guard to
do them.
Deu
5:2 “יהוה our Elohim made(Heb -‘’carat’’ or cut) a covenant with us in Ḥorěḇ.
There can be no covenant without the shedding of blood – Exo 24:7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the
hearing of the people. And they said, “All that יהוה has spoken we shall do, and obey.” Exo 24:8 And Mosheh took the
blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “See, the blood of the covenant
which יהוה has
made(‘’çarat’’) with you concerning all these
Words.”
Heb 9:11 But Messiah, having become a High Priest
of the coming good matters, through the greater and more perfect Tent
not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,
Heb 9:12 entered into the Most Set-apart Place once
for all, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, having
obtained everlasting redemption.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and
the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the defiled, sets apart for the cleansing of
the flesh,
Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of the
Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to
Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living
Elohim?
Heb 9:15 And because of this He is the Mediator of
a renewed covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the
transgressions under the first covenant, those who are called might receive the
promise of the everlasting inheritance.
Heb 9:16 For where a covenant is, it is necessary
for the death of the covenanted one to be established.
Heb 9:17 For a covenant over those dead is firm,
since it is never valid while the covenanted one is living.
Heb 9:18 Therefore not even the first covenant
was instituted without blood.
Heb 9:19 For when, according to Torah, every
command had been spoken by Mosheh to all the people, he took the blood of
calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both
the book itself and all the people,
Heb 9:20 saying, “This is the blood of the
covenant which Elohim commanded you.” Exo_24:8.
Heb 9:21 And in the same way he sprinkled with
blood both the Tent and all the vessels of the service.
Heb 9:22 And, according to the Torah, almost all is
cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Heb
9:1 Now the
first covenant indeed had regulations of worship and the earthly
set-apart place.
Heb
9:2 For a Tent was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand,
and the table, and the showbread, which is called the Set-apart Place.
Heb
9:3 And after the second veil, the part of the Tent which is called Most
Set-apart,
Heb
9:4 to which belonged the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant
overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that held the
manna, and the rod of Aharon that budded, and the tablets of the
covenant,
Please note the
word ‘’covenant’’ is written in italics and does not appear in the original
manuscripts. We understand the blood of the sacrifices were required for
entrance into the ‘’first part’’ but only the blood if Yahshua could gain us
access into the ‘’second part’’ the Most Set Apart Place.
Deu
5:3 “יהוה did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those
who are here today, all of us who are alive.
Deu
5:4 “יהוה spoke with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of
the fire.
The only time YHVH spoke in an audible voice to His
people.
Deu
5:5 “I stood between יהוה and you at that time, to declare to you the Word of יהוה –
for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain –
saying:
Deu
5:6 I am יהוה your Elohim who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out
of the house of bondage.
“Anochi” “I and only I alone” –
Isa 43:10 …..Before Me there was no Ěl
formed, nor after Me there is none.
Isa 43:11 “I,
I am יהוה, and
besides Me there is no saviour. (Heb moshiah)
Isa 45:5 ‘I am
יהוה, and
there is none else – there is no Elohim besides Me.
Act 4:12 “And there
is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heaven
given among men by which we need to be saved.”
The Gk word
“soteria” is often translated “salvation” but means “deliverance or safety.”
Deu
5:7 You have no other mighty ones against My face.
YHVH has no equals
– Not even Yahshua - Php 2:6 who,
being in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim a matter to be
grasped,
Joh 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when
the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the
Father also does seek such to worship Him.
Joh 4:24 “Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship
Him need to worship in spirit and truth.”
Deu 5:8 You do not make for yourself a carved
image, any likeness of which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth
beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth,
We may not form any other version of the truth that
originates from the heavens or the earth or from the waters. This includes the
Queen of heaven –
Wikipedia – ‘’Queen of Heaven was a title given to a number of ancient sky goddesses worshipped throughout the ancient Mediterranean and Near East during ancient times. Goddesses known to have been referred to by the title include Inanna, Anat, Isis, Astarte, Hera, and possibly Asherah (by the prophet Jeremiah). In Greco-Roman times Hera, and her Roman aspect Juno bore this title. Forms and content of worship varied. In modern times, the title "Queen of Heaven" is still used by contemporary pagans to refer to the Great Goddess, while Catholics, Orthodox, and some Anglican Christians now apply the ancient title to Mary, the mother of Jesus.’’
See Yer/Jer 44 – the
queen of heavens.
It is demonic strongholds over our minds that prevent us
from seeing and walking in the truth –
see Rev 2:18-29
Deu
5:9 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה
your Elohim, am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the
children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
Jas 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not
know that friendship with the world is enmity(hatred) with Elohim?a Whoever therefore intends to be
a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim.
Deu
5:10 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and

Deu
5:11 You do not bring (a) the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave him unpunished who brings
His Name to naught. Footnote: aOr lift up, or take.
Falsely claim revelation from YHVH, and allow others to do

Deu
5:12 Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as יהוה your Elohim commanded
you.
Deu
5:13 Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,
Deu
5:14 but the seventh day is a Sabbathb of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you,
nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female
servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your
stranger who is within your gates, so that your male servant and your female
servant rest as you do. Footnote: bSee footnote at Exo_20:10.
Deu
5:15 And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of
Mitsrayim, and that יהוה your Elohim brought you out from there by a strong hand and by
an outstretched arm. Therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to perform the Sabbath day.
