Blessing for the Torah:
Bar’chu et YHVH ha-m’vorach, Baruch YHVH
ha-m’vorach l’O’lam va-ed! Baruch ata YHVH
Eloheinu melech ha-olam asher bachar banu

Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn ha-Torah. Ameyn.”
(Bless YHVH the blessed One; Blessed is YHVH,
the blessed One for all eternity. Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim, King of
the Universe, you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given
us your Torah. Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn.)
To understand scripture we need to recognize
that it was primarily written to a “called out people” – a Messianic people. This
week’s Torah portion –“ Re eh” – See! is calling YHVH’s chosen ones to observe –
See! - all matters in the light of
obedience or disobedience to YHVH’s Torah – His covenant with Yisrael. For this
we need the discernment and understanding that only His Ruach Ha Kodesh can
give to us and desires to give to us.
Isa 42:18 “Hear, you deaf! And look,
you blind, and see.
Isa 42:19 “Who is blind but My servant,
or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace, and
blind as servant of יהוה?
Isa 42:20 “You see much, but do not
guard; ears are open, but do not hear.”
Isa 42:21 It has delighted יהוה, for the
sake of His righteousness, to make the Torah great and esteemed.
Only in Messiah can we fully understand and
appreciate the depth of wisdom of the Torah and how it relates to all of life.
Isa 42:22 But this is a people robbed
and plundered, all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison
houses. (This includes ALL religious institutions) They have become a prey,
with no one to deliver – for plunder, and no one to say, “Restore!” (Heb – “ha shav” to cause to return) Yer/Jer 6:16-19
Isa 42:23 Who among you gives ear to
this, pays attention and hears for the time to come (hereafter)?
Isa 42:24 Who gave Ya‛aqoḇ for plunder,
and Yisra’ěl to the robbers? Was it not יהוה, He
against whom we sinned? For they would not walk in His ways, and they did not
obey His Torah!
Isa 42:25 So He has poured on him His
burning displeasure and the strength of battle, and it set him on fire all
around, yet he did not understand. And it burned against him, yet he did not
take it to heart!
This a
timely Torah portion in respect to current events and especially those
pertaining to the opening of the American Embassy in Yerushalayim this past
week.
The
role players involved in this dramatic end time unfolding event are for the
most part unaware of the significant importance of how this relates to end time
events, the restoration of Torah and the return of Messiah – see Is 42:23.
Many
may claim they know, but do we really know as we ought to know? – see Is 42.
Rom 8:7 Because the mind of the flesh
is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of
Elohim, neither indeed is it able, Rom 7: 8 and
those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim. (Proverbs 3.)
Greek –
The mind or opinion of human nature expresses hatred towards Elohim and by its
very nature cannot submit itself to the Torah of Elohim or in indeed able to do
so.
Man was
not meant to live by his/her own opinions (Gan Eden) but was meant to live as
Yahshua lived -
Joh 5:19 Therefore יהושע responded and said to them, “Truly, truly,
I say to you, the Son is able to do none at all by Himself, but only that which
He sees the Father doing, because whatever He does, the Son also likewise
does.
Joh 5:30 “Of Myself I am unable to do
any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I
do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.
Torah Portion: Re eh – See!
Deu 11:26 ‘See, I am setting (giving) before you today
a blessing and a curse: (giving both)
Deu 11:27 the blessing, when you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim
which I command you today;
