Parashat 55 Portion 6 Deut 32: 1- 7 ‘’Ha azinu’’ Rev 3:14-22

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein.

Pro 1:33  “But whoever listens to me dwells safely, And is at ease from the dread of evil.”

Yahshua, when addressing the seven assemblies in Revelation chapters two and three, repeats the phrase ‘’let him who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies”, seven times – (Rev 2: 7, 11, 17, 29 & 3: 6, 13, 22)

Interestingly, Rev 13:9 says ‘If anyone has an ear, let him hear’ is repeated without the phrase ‘what the Spirit says to the assemblies’’

Perhaps,  ‘’let him who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies’’ applies to the first three and a half years of the final seven years of this age. Rev 13:9  possibly then applies to the last three and a half years or the beginning of the great tribulation. There is an expectation that YHVH will bring a separation between believers, based on certain scriptures which include Ezekiel 20:34-38 and others.

Eze 34:22  therefore I shall save (rescue and bring them to safety) My flock, and let them no longer be a prey. And I shall judge between sheep and sheep.

Eze 20:34  “And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.

Eze 20:35  “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there.

Eze 20:36  “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master יהוה

Eze 20:37  “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant,

Eze 20:38  and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. From the land where they sojourn, I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’ěl. And you shall know that I am יהוה

Interestingly, Ezeliel 20:38 & 39 may apply to ‘’other’’ believers and non-believers, who refuse to hear and obey the voice of YHVH. These will not enter into the Promised Land -Israel nor have the protection of the ‘’obedient’’ believers during the great tribulation.

Eze 20:39  “As for you, O house of Yisra’ěl,” thus said the Master יהוה, “Go, serve each of you his idols, and afterwards, if you are not listening to Me. But do not profane My set-apart Name any more with your gifts and your idols.

Another scripture that possibly addresses the latter three and a half years is found in Hosea 2

Hos 2:14  “Therefore, see, I am alluring her, and shall lead her into the wilderness, and shall speak to her heart,

Hos 2:15  and give to her vineyards from there, and the Valley of Aor as a door of expectation. And there she shall respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Mitsrayim.

Hos 2:16  “And it shall be, in that day,” declares יהוה, “that you call Me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer call Me ‘My Ba‛al.’

Hos 2:17  “And I shall remove the names of the Ba‛als from her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

Hos 2:18  “And in that day I shall make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of the heavens, and with the creeping creatures of the ground, when bow, and sword, and battle I break from the earth. And I shall make them lie down in safety.

Hos 2:19  “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me forever, and take you as a bride unto Me in righteousness, and in right-ruling, and loving-commitment and compassion.

Hos 2:20  “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me in trustworthiness, and you shall know יהוה

Hos 2:21  “And it shall be in that day that I answer,” declares יהוה, “that I answer the heavens, and they answer the earth,

Hos 2:22  and the earth answer the grain and the new wine and the oil, and they answer Yizre‛ěl.

Hos 2:23  “And I shall sow her for Myself in the earth, and I shall have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion. And I shall say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people,’ while they say, ‘My Elohim!’”

Also see Hose 1:10, 11 how Elohim will restore in the end: “Yet the number of the children of Yisra’ěl shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor counted. And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they shall be called, ‘You are the sons of the living Ěl.’

“And the children of Yehuah and the children of Yisra’ěl shall be gathered together, and appoint for themselves one head, and shall come up out of the earth, for great is the day of Yizre‛ěl!

Revelation 12 is another scripture that seems to indicate a separation of the two three and a half year periods, where believers are separated.

To understand the Song of Mosheh/Moses we need to consider the circumstances surrounding the singing of this song in the last days – see Rev 15.

Jer 4:22  “For My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.”

Jer 4:23  I looked at the earth, and saw it was formless and empty. And the heavens, they had no light. (See Gen 1:2 phrase ‘’tahu va vahu’’ astonishingly empty and chaotic because of our idolatry – not, other people’s idolatry only, but our idolatry – yours and my idolatry)

Jer 4:24  I looked at the mountains, and saw they shook, and all the hills were swaying.

Jer 4:25  I looked, and saw there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled.

Jer 4:26  I looked, and saw the garden land was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of יהוה, by His burning displeasure.

Jer 4:27  For thus said יהוה, “All the earth shall be a ruin, but I shall not make a complete end.

"The rest of mankind... did not repent... nor give up worshiping demons and idols... nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries..." Revelation 9:20–21

After catastrophic judgments, many people still refused to repent - human rebellion is often irrational, persistent, and even incomprehensible.’’ The depth of our idolatry has no limit.

"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way." 2 Thessalonians 2:7 (ESV):

What It Means:

·        "Mystery of lawlessness" (Greek: μυστήριον τς νομίας) refers to a hidden or unfolding spiritual force of rebellion against YHVH. (anti law or anti Torah)

·        Paul teaches that this lawlessness was already active in his time — but not yet fully revealed.

·        This mystery is connected to the rise of the “man of lawlessness” (also called the Antichrist), who will be revealed before Messiah returns (see 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4).

·        The phrase implies a gradual, deceptive development of evil, working behind the scenes in human systems, culture, and religion.

In the light of these prophecies and warnings we can better understand the pleading of Mosheh in the Song of Mosheh that will only be sung by those who have come face to face with their own spiritual condition, crying out to YHVH for mercy and forgiveness, and you can’t fake it.

Two songs, two destinies – ‘’I did it my way’’ or ‘’We did it His way’’

Line 1.Dev 32:1 “Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;

א  הַאֲזִינוּ הַשָּׁמַיִםוַאֲדַבֵּרָה;              הַשָּׁמַיִם (m) Gen 1:1

Line1 (b)  and  hear, O earth, The words (sayings) of my mouth. (Left hand side)

וְתִשְׁמַע הָאָרֶץאִמְרֵי-פִ    אָרֶץ (f)

Line 2. Dev 32:2 “Let my instruction fall as rain,

ב יַעֲרֹף כַּמָּטָר לִקְחִי,  לִקְחִי (m)

“Allow My instruction לִקְחִי (to be received or taken-verb) to be as a trickling rain”

ערף (araph) means ‘’to drip’’ – like a gentle rain.

Why address heaven and earth? Because that’s what Yahshua taught us – Mat 6:9-13

אבינו שבשמים יתקדש שמך׃

תבא מלכותך יעשה רצונך כאשר בשמים גם בארץ׃

Our journey in ‘receiving’’ the teachings of the His kingdom was meant to be gentle and kind, not a condemning and inclusive of all who were willing to listen and obey.

Mat 11:28  "Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.

Mat 11:29  “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings’ Footnote: d Jer_6:16. (finding rest in the ancient paths)

Mat 11:30  “For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.”

Line 2b My sayings shall drop down (to be shed like tears - הֻזַּל) as dew (mist  כַּטַּל )– vs 2 (left side)

תִּזַּל כַּטַּל אִמְרָתִי     אִמְרָתִי (f)

His gentle sayings (Torah) were destined to fall gently on teachable hearts –

…..and every Word becomes a seed and they create life and peace …..

Mat 13:18  “You, then, hear the parable of the sower: Mat 13:19  “When anyone hears the word of the reign, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside. Mat 13:20  “And that sown on rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, Mat 13:21  yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived, and when pressure or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Mat 13:22  “And that sown among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the worry of this age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes fruitless.[d] Footnote: d Luk_21:342Ti_3:4Mat 13:23  “And that sown on the good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields – some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field, Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel[e] among the wheat and went away. Footnote: eDarnel looks like wheat but is poisonous to man and beast.

1Jn 3:9  Everyone having been born of Elohim does not sin, because His seed stays in him, and he is powerless to sin, because he has been born of Elohim.

1Jn 3:10  In this the children of Elohim and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone not doing righteousness is not of Elohim,[d] neither the one not loving his brother

If the seed of the Torah (fem noun) has taken root in your life – she will preserve you.

Proverbs 4:6

"Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you."

Proverbs 4:13

"Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life."

Line 3. As fine rain כשׂעירם (misleading translation not found in the Hebrew text)  on the tender plants, vs 2

כִּשְׂעִירִם עֲלֵי-דֶשֶׁא

A demonic seed was also sown into our lives – parable of the Sower Mat 13.

‘’Sa'ir’’ was a Hebrew word for "he-goat", and it is not always clear what the word's original meaning might have been. But in early Jewish thought, represented by targumim and possibly 3 Baruch, along with translations of the Hebrew Bible such as the Peshitta and Vulgate, the se'īrīm were understood to be demons. Strongs 8163

Line 3(b) And as showers on the grass – עֵשֶׂב – ‘’esev’’ or weeds (see ‘’morfix’’ definition)

וְכִרְבִיבִים עֲלֵי-עֵשֶׂב. Masc. both sides – left and right.

These ‘’weeds’’ were well watered – and require prophetic discernment.

כרביבים or showers of רְבִיבִ prophetic discernment  on ‘’weeds’’  עֵשֶׂב   .

Line 4. Dev 32:3 “For (because) I will call on the Name of יהוה, (m) Why? Because we don’t know how to deal with this problem – see Mat 13:24,25 – weeds have taken over.

‘’Father we are in big trouble – I will call upon Your name’’

כִּי שֵׁם יְהוָהאֶקְרָא

4(b)   Ascribe  greatness to our Elohim. Only He can deliver us from the ‘’weeds’’

הָבוּ גֹדֶללֵאלֹהֵינוּ

Give (יָהַב  give /hope m) in the greatness גֹּדֶל of YHVH our Elohim to deal with this problem.

Masculine nouns on both sides – the male female pattern is broken – mankind has fallen into a helpless state and he cannot solve it – religion only makes it worse.

 5.     Dev 32:4 “The Rock! (m)  His work is perfect,

הַצּוּר תָּמִים פָּעֳלוֹ – the ‘’Rock’’ the Messiah has come to our rescue.

1Co 10:4  and all drank the same spiritual drink.(Ruach) For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah.

5(b)  For all His ways are right-ruling, vs 4 Messiah will bring order.

 כִּי כָל-דְּרָכָיו מִשְׁפָּט:

All the rulings and judgments (m) of the Torah as taught by Moses and Messiah are correct and if we walk in obedience to them, we will eventually overcome the devastation of our idolatry – which have overcome and confused all of mankind.

6.     An Ěl of truth (faithfulness) and without unrighteousness, (moral distortion עָוֶל  ) vs 4

אֵל אֱמוּנָה וְאֵין עָוֶל,

6(b) צַדִּיק וְיָשָׁר הוּא.

Rev 15:3  And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb.

Messiah is upright יָשָׁר  (m) and a צַדִּיק  adj a righteous one. Masculine nouns on both sides.

Line 7.     Dev 32:5   שִׁחֵת לוֹ לֹאבָּנָיו מוּמָם: morally corrupt – masc מוּמָם

Deu 32:5  “A twisted and crooked generation has corrupted itself, their blemish, they are not His children (bad translation – maybe the translators were too shocked to consider the implications

Which should literally read “he became perverted and corrupt, not his sons’ for the moral stains of them”. He took moral corruptness upon himself – to take away the moral stains of his sons. This could also read “he became corrupt with the moral stains that were not his but those of his sons.”

7(b)   a generation (m) perverse and twisted (wrestling with itself)” referring to the sons of men -

דּוֹר עִקֵּשׁוּפְתַלְתֹּל vs 5

A generation perverse עִקֵּשׁ and twisted and morally torturous and twisted.

8.    Dev 32:6 “Do you do this to יהוה, (is this the way you repay תִּגְמְלוּ Yahveh?) (m)

ו הַ לְיְהוָה, תִּגְמְלוּ-זֹאת--

Note the enlarged “hey” in the Torah scroll. It possibly means, ‘Is this the way you treat YHVH’s Messiah? For our disobedience Messiah was tortured and killed.

8(b) A  foolish (adj) and unwise adj nation (m)– left hand side. (M) both sides

 עַם נָבָלוְלֹא חָכָם:

9.  Is He not your Father, who bought(m)  you,? vs 6

הֲלוֹא-הוּא אָבִיךָ קָּנֶךָ

1 Cor 6:20 says we have been bought with a price!!! קָּנֶךָ – why? We sold ourselves into the slavery of idolatry and YHVH purchased us back from the cruel possession of our enemy.

9(b) Who created you and established you.

הוּא עָשְׂךָ וַיְכֹנְנֶךָ He purchases us from the slavery of idolatry and Then He creates a new man

The One who made you עָשְׂךָ and restored you. ויכננך - kûn (v)  (m) both sides

10.Dev 32:7 “Remember the days of old,

זְכֹר יְמוֹת עוֹלָם (m)

Why remember the days of old?

Because there has never existed a generation in Israel (or the Christian church) who have faithfully and consistently followed and obeyed YHVH’s Torah.

Jer 30:12  “For thus said יהוה, ‘Your breach (brokenness) is incurable, your wound is grievous.

Jer 30:24  The burning displeasure of יהוה shall not turn back until He has done and established the purposes of His heart. In the latter days you shall understand it.[b] Footnote: bSee Jer_23:20

Rom 3:10  As it has been written, “There is none righteous, no, not one!

Rom 3:11  “There is no one who is understanding, there is none who is seeking Elohim.

Rom 3:12  “They all have turned aside, they have together become worthless. There is none who does good, no, not one.” Psa_14:1-3, Psa_53:1-4

10(b) Consider the years of many generations.

בִּינוּ שְׁנוֹת דֹּר-וָדֹר

11Ask (plead) your Father and let him show you, ( נגד He will make it known to you)

שְׁאַל אָבִיךָ וְיַגֵּדְךָ,

11(b) Your elders, and let them say to you:

זְקֵנֶיךָ וְיֹאמְרוּ לָךְ

Are the words of the Song of Mosheh true – do we really need to take them seriously? You and I must decide.

To the Assembly in Laodicea – A people self-governed  an assembly ruled by peoples wisdom and not by YHVH’s Torah – famous for banks and a famous medical school known for creating balms for eye conditions.

Rev 3:14  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Aměn, the Trustworthy and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Elohim,[a] says this: Footnote: a Col_1:15, Heb_1:6.  -should be 69th line of Song of Mosheh –

The Aměn - 2Co 1:20  For as many promises as are of Elohim, in Him (Yahshua) they are Yes, and in Him Aměn, to the esteem of Elohim through us.

Heb 1:6  And again, when He brings in the First-born into the world, He says, "And let all the messengers of Elohim  worship Him." (The word “firstborn” (Greek: prōtotokos) does not mean Yahshua was created or born first in time. It refers to His status, rank, and authority – Heb 1:6 should be in the 69th line of Song of Mosheh - השׁתחוו־לו כל־אלהים)  Ps 97:7

Col 1:15  who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation.[b] Footnote: b Heb_1:6, Rev_3:14. Col 1:16  Because in (not by) Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him and for Him.[c] Footnote: c Jhn_1:3

‘’in’’ or ‘’through’’ Gk ‘’dia’’ ‘’because of or for the sake of’’ Christian theology states that Yahshua was the ‘’agent’’ of creation. An agent is defined as a person who acts on behalf of another. The scriptures says that YHVH acted alone in creating the earth as well as providing the way of salvation – without anyone’s help. To suggest that YHVH was unable to act alone in these matters is a perverse form of idolatry that is deeply ingrained in Christian theology.

YHVH does not need help from anyone or anything to create or maintain the world. No battle with the forces of chaos threatens to undo the creation.

Isa 45:18  For thus said יהוה, Creator of the heavens, He is Elohim, Former of earth and its Maker, He established it, He did not create it to be empty, He formed it to be inhabited: “I am יהוה, and there is none else.

Isa 43:10  “You are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.

Isa 43:11  “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.

Isa 43:12  “I, I have declared and saved, and made known, and there was no foreign mighty one among you. And you are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “that I am Ěl.

Isa 43:13  “Even from the day I am He, and no one delivers out of My hand. I work, and who turns it back?”

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with (‘’pros’’ toward or pointing to Messiah) Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. (you cannot separate YHVH from His Word)

Joh 1:2  He was in the beginning with Elohim. (Gk ‘’pros’’ preposition of direction G4314)

‘’with’’ is an unfortunate translation and gives the false perception of a ‘’pre incarnate Messiah’’.

Rev 3:15  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. Rev 3:16  “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.

The very nature of YHVH’s Torah and Messiah demands a very serious response from man. It cannot be taken lightly (lukewarm) those who treat YHVH’s words lightly will be ‘’vomited’’ out of His mouth. Jer 23:29  “Is not My Word like a fire?” declares יהוה, “and like a hammer that shatters a rock? Every word in the Torah is very, very serious and should be taken very, very seriously.

Rev 3:17  “Because you say, ‘Rich I am, and I am made rich, Hos_12:8 and need none at all,’ and do not know that you are wretched, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

Rev 3:18  “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,[b] so that you become rich; and white garments, so that you become dressed, so that the shame of your nakedness might not be shown; and anoint your eyes with ointment, so that you see. Footnote: b Psa_19:10, Psa_119:72 and Psa_119:127, Pro_30:5

Joh 9:39  And יהושע said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those not seeing might see, and those seeing might become blind.”

Rev 3:19  “As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent.

Rev 3:20  “See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Rev 3:21  “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Rev 3:22  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’ ”

Zep 2:3  Seek יהוה, all you meek ones of the earth, who have done His right-ruling. Seek righteousness, seek meekness, if so be that you are hidden in the day of wrath of יהוה

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Amein.

Parashat 55 Portion 5 ‘’Ha azinu’’ Deut 32:29-52 Rev 3:1-13

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein.

The Song of Mosheh/Moses is a perfect example of YHVH ‘’declaring the end from the beginning’’ - Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do,’

This, YHVH does in His mercy to warn us and prepare us for what lies ahead at the end of this age.

The Coming Judgment on Judah

Zep 1:2  “I shall snatch away all from the face of the earth,” declares יהוה –

אָסֹף אָסֵף כֹּל, מֵעַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה--נְאֻם-יְהוָה – To terminate yes, I will terminate everything off the face of the earth. Why? Every form of life on this planet has been poisoned by the venom of idolatry.

Zep 1:3  “I snatch away man and beast, I snatch away the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, and the stumbling-blocks, with the wrong, when I shall cutoff man from the face of the earth,” declares יהוה

Zep 1:4  “And I shall stretch out My hand against Yehuah, and against all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and cut off every trace of Ba‛al from this place, the names of the idolatrous priests, with the priests,

Zep 1:5  and those bowing down to the host of the heavens on the house-tops, and those bowing themselves, swearing by יהוה and swearing by Malkam;

Zep 1:6  and those who turn away from following יהוה, and who have not sought יהוה or inquired of Him.”

Why?

Zep 1:7  Hush! in the presence of the Master יהוה. For the day of יהוה is near, for יהוה has prepared a slaughter, He has set apart His invited ones. (a slaughter to sanctify - הקדישׁ His invited ones)

‘’While it's a strong statement to say "without exception," the Song of Moses in Deuteronomy 32 is indeed widely recognized as having had a profound and foundational influence on the prophetic tradition in Israel.’’

‘’Ha azinu’’ or ‘’lend your ear’’ – more people these days are paying closer attention and are becoming more concerned about what is happening in the world around us, especially what will happen in the future.

45. And יהוה has not done all this.”  Vs 27

וְלֹא יְהוָה פָּעַל כָּל-זֹאת

Ultimately, the idea of YHVH directly creating chaos is not a universally accepted one.

Isa 45:7  forming light and creating darkness, making peace and creating evil. I, יהוה, do all these.’

45(b) Dev 32:28 “For they הֵמָּה are a nation lost אֹבַד  to counsel, עֵצוֹת,

כִּי-גוֹי אֹבַד עֵצוֹת, הֵמָּה

46. And there is no understanding (f) in them.

וְאֵין בָּהֶם, תְּבוּנָה

46(b) Dev 32:29 “If they were wise, they would understand this,

לוּ חָכְמוּ, יַשְׂכִּילוּ זֹאת

If only לוּ

47. They would consider their latter end!

יָבִינוּ, לְאַחֲרִיתָם.

47(b) Dev 32:30 “How would one chase a thousand,

אֵיכָה יִרְדֹּף אֶחָד, אֶלֶף

48And two put ten thousand to flight,

וּשְׁנַיִם, יָנִיסוּ רְבָבָה:

Mosheh/Moses is now referring to Israels humiliating defeat by her enemies. The Chumash – Page1107 comments that Israel’s non -Jewish conquerors are now convinced of their own invincibility because they are too foolish to realize what was happening to Israel by the hand of their enemies - vs 29 continues -

48(b) Unless their Rock had sold them,

כִּי-צוּרָם מְכָרָם

If the enemy had considered the magnitude of Israels defeat, they would realize it was because YHVH had handed His people over to His enemies. ‘’your God has sold you out’’ they will say.

Rev 13:7  And it was given to him to fight with the set-apart ones and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation. Rev 13:8  And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him.

Mat 24:15  “So when you see the ’abomination that lays waste,’[b] Dan_11:31 spoken of by Dani’ěl the prophet, set up in the set-apart place” – he who reads, let him understand – Footnote: bSee also Dan_9:27 and Abomination that lays waste in Explanatory Notes.

Mat 24:16  “then let those who are in Yehuah flee to the mountains.

Mat 24:17  “Let him who is on the house-top not come down to take whatever out of his house.

Mat 24:18  “And let him who is in the field not turn back to get his garments.

Mat 24:21  “For then there shall be great distress,c such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote: cOr great pressure, or great affliction

Mat 24:22  “And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.

Destiny of end time believers - Jer 15:2  “And it shall be, when they say to you, ‘Where do we go?’ then you shall say to them, ‘Thus said יהוה, “Those for death, to death. And those for the sword, to the sword. And those for scarcity of food, to scarcity of food. And those for captivity, to captivity.” ’

Eze 6:8  “But I shall leave a remnant, in that some of you shall escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered throughout the lands.

49. And יהוה had given them up?

וַיהוָה הִסְגִּירָם

Israels enemies will now believe that YHVH had given up on His people – Imagine if there was another holocaust much worse than the last one.

49(b) Dev 32:31 “For their rock is not like our Rock

כִּי לֹא כְצוּרֵנוּ, צוּרָם;

This is perhaps the taunting of Israels enemies – the goyim – declaring that their gods would not treat them the way that the God of Israel was treating His people.

50. Even our enemies  ôyêb – אויב are judges פְּלִילִים  vs 32

וְאֹיְבֵינוּ, פְּלִילִים

The Father allows even our enemies to judge us (and hopefully bring us to our senses.)

50(b) Deu 32:32 “Their vine גּפן  is of the vine of Seom – vine of them גַּפְנָם

כִּי-מִגֶּפֶן סְדֹם גַּפְנָם

The Chumash says that Israel suffered because they behaved like the people of Sodom and Gomorrah ‘as if the Jews were transplants of those two evil cities that became the prototype of wickedness. As a result, Israel had suffered what it had brought upon themselves – their vine turned into poison ‘’ Rashi.

Rev 11:6  These possess authority to shut the heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. And they possess authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they wish.

Rev 11:7  And when they have ended their witness, the beast coming up out of the pit of the deep shall fight against them, and overcome them, and kill them,

Rev 11:8  and their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city (Jerusalem) which spiritually is called Seom and Mitsrayim, where also our Master was impaled,

The term “vine” is a reference to the pagan deities which, the passage says, find their ultimate source in Sodom and Gomorrah, that is, in the soil of perversion exemplified by these places.

51. And of the fields of Amorah;

 וּמִשַּׁדְמֹת עֲמֹרָה

"the enemies who would execute YHVH’s judgment on Israel were as evil as Sodom and Gomorrah, further underscored the depth of evil and shame into which Israel had fallen (vv. 32–33).

51(b) Their grapes are grapes of gall, רוֹשׁ or poison

Eating the idolatrous fruit of the pagan nations would lead only to death, physical and spiritual.

53. And the fierce venom of cobras.

 וְרֹאשׁ פְּתָנִים, אַכְזָר

53(b) Dev 32:34 ‘Is it not stored (revealed) up with Me, (stored up in His memory)

הֲלֹא-הוּא, כָּמֻס עִמָּדִי

54.  Sealed כָּמֻס (stored) up among My treasures?

חָתוּם, בְּאוֹצְרֹתָי

as though YHVH laid up the memory of man’s sin, sealed it up, and kept it in a secret place against the day when he shall call sinners to account, and visit them for their iniquities!

54(b) Dev 32:35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and repayment,

לִי נָקָם וְשִׁלֵּם

The Hebrew verb (shillem) speaks of a deserved punishment, in the sense of a repayment for whatever wrong was done by a person. The point is that the punishment is deserved, and it is ultimately only YHVH Who has the right to avenge the wrongdoers, giving them what they deserve.

According to Rashi – conversation of the nation’s ends and now reverts back to Israel

55. At the time their foot slips;

לְעֵת תָּמוּט רַגְלָם – (when you begin to feel all hope is gone)

The slipping of the foot is a frequent image of a reverse of fortune Ps 94:18- If I say my foot slips תָּמוּט Your kindness (chesed) – Oh YHVH is already embracing me.

55(b)  For near is the day of their calamity,

   כִּי קָרוֹב יוֹם אֵידָם,

Calamity (0343) ed means distress. This Hebrew word (ed) often refers to final, life-ending calamity (Pr 6:15). The Lxx translates ed with the noun apoleia which means utter and hopeless loss of all that gives worth to existence.

Pro 6:15  Therefore his calamity comes suddenly; Instantly he is broken, And there is no healing.

56. And the matters prepared are hastening to them.

וְחָשׁ עֲתִדֹת לָמוֹ

And hastens impending doom to them

כִּי-יָדִין יְהוָה עַמּוֹ

וְאָמַר, אֵי אֱלֹהֵימוֹ

’YHVH calls out to Israel to recognize that their reliance on a multitude of gods was misplaced that none of them was able to repulse these gods or provide them with an antidote to the venom of sin’’ Chumash

59(b) Dev 32:38 ‘Who ate the fat of their slaughterings,

אֲשֶׁר חֵלֶב זְבָחֵימוֹ יֹאכֵלוּ

YHVH mockingly inquires about the whereabouts of the gods that drank the drink offerings of wine offered by their pagan worshipers. Jdg 10:14  “Go and cry out to the mighty ones which you have chosen, let them save you in your time of distress.”

60. And drank the wine of their drink offering?

יִשְׁתּוּ יֵין נְסִיכָם

60(b) Let them arise and help you,

מֵרֹאשׁ פַּרְעוֹת אוֹיֵב From the long haired heads of the enemy – (mechon mamre)

Heb - From the head of the enemy  אוֹיֵב commander פַּרְעוֹת – this could be a reference to the anti messiah along with a host of demonic powers that will be unleashed upon the earth in the last days.

69. Deu 32:43  “O nations, acclaim His people *****

הַרְנִינוּ גוֹיִם עַמּוֹ

Shout out for joy הַרְנִינוּ the nations of Him

Should read “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”

“Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.” is not found in the Masoretic text (500CE).

Explanation:

4 Q is a reference to the Dead Sea Scroll which shows that the Masoretic text which we now use, was tampered with to hide direct references to the Messiah. The Septuagint also bears witness to the tampering. (The Septuagint was a translation by 70 rabbis of the Tenach into Greek 200 years before Messiah appeared) The Masoretic text dates from around 500 C E.

In  Heb 1:6  And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”

הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ-לוֹ,    כָּל-אֱלֹהִים. Heb 1:6  bow down (worship) to Him (Yahshua) all you Elohim.

Strong's G4352 - Proskuneo primarily means to kiss, but in the context of worship, it refers to the act of bowing down or prostrating oneself in reverence or adoration.

In Psalm 2:12, the phrase "kiss the Son" is translated from the Greek word "proskuneo" (G4352), which generally means to show reverence, homage, or adoration

69(b) For He avenges נקם  the blood of His servants

כִּי דַם-עֲבָדָיו יִקּוֹם

70. And returns vengeance to His adversaries, צר his oppressors vs 43

 וְנָקָם יָשִׁיב לְצָרָיו

Could also read “will retaliate against those who reject him”

Yahshua is returning to destroy the enemies of YHVH – both demonic and human.

70(b) And shall pardon His (YHVH)land, His people.”

וְכִפֶּר אַדְמָתוֹ עַמּוֹ

Should read “ and will cleanse their land”

Heb – and a propitiary shelter (כִפֶּר kipper) will be found in the land of His people.

Perhaps referring to the day of Yom Kippur.

This is where the 70 th line of the two colums stop. (Pehaps a reference to a future Yom ha kippurim and physical return of Messiah)

Deu 32:44  Then Mosheh came, with Hoshěa son of Nun, and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. Deu 32:45  And when Mosheh ended speaking all these words to all Yisra’ěl, Deu 32:46  he said to them, “Set your heart on all the words with which I warn you today, so that you command your children to guard to do all the Words of this Torah. Deu 32:47  “For it is not a worthless Word for you, because it is your life, and by this Word you prolong your days on the soil which you pass over the Yarděn to possess.”

Mosheh’s Death Foretold

Deu 32:48  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh that same day, saying, Deu 32:49  “Go up this mountain of the Aarim, Mount Neo, which is in the land of Mo’a, which is opposite Yerio, and look at the land of Kena‛an, which I give to the children of Yisra’ěl as a possession, Deu 32:50  and die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people, as Aharon your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, Deu 32:51  because you trespassed against Me in the midst of the children of Yisra’ěl at the waters of Meriah Qaěsh, in the Wilderness of Tsin, because you did not set Me apart in the midst of the children of Yisra’ěl. Deu 32:52  “For you are to look at the land before you, but not enter there, into the land which I am giving to the children of Yisra’ěl.”

To the Assembly in Sardis

Rev 3:1  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write, ‘He who has the seven Spirits of Elohim and the seven stars, says this, “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

Rev 3:2  “Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete before Elohim.

Rev 3:3  “Remember, then, how you have received, and heard. And watch and repent. If, then, you do not wake up, I shall come upon you as a thief, and you shall not know at all what hour I come upon you.

Rev 3:4  “Nevertheless, you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.

Rev 3:5  “He who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes, and I shall by no means blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I shall confess his name before My Father and before His messengers.

Rev 3:6  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”’

This letter written to the believers in Sardis reveals an attitude among believes that it doesn’t matter what anyone says to them, including Yahshua, the message will be rejected. These believers believe that they have great knowledge and understanding, when in reality their names are about to be blotted out of the Book of Life.

Pro 14:12  There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.[a] Footnote: a Pro_16:25

To the Assembly in Philadelphia

Rev 3:7  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write, ‘He who is set-apart, He who is true, He who has the key of Dawi, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, Isa_22:22 says this:

In summary, Isaiah 22:22 speaks of a divinely appointed authority symbolized by "the key of the house of David." While initially fulfilled in Eliakim's role as steward in King Hezekiah's court, its deeper and ultimate meaning finds its perfect embodiment in Yahshua, who possesses ultimate authority over the kingdom of YHVH, able to open and shut doors according to YHVH’s sovereign will. Yahshua under YHVH’s guidance and authority uses these keys to release and bind the blessings of YHVH’s endless treasuries in heavenly and earthly places.

Now Yahshua passes on these keys to Peter and other disciples who were worthy of possessing these keys of the kingdom.

This is huge. Who is worthy to posses such keys? Christians believe these keys have been entrusted to them, and to the church, but is this true?

Mat 16:19  “And I shall give you the keys of the reign of the heavens, and whatever you bind on earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever you loosen on earth shall be having been loosened in the heavens.”[c] Footnote: cBinding and loosening is a Hebrew idiom for exercising authority (to prohibit and permit).

Rev 3:8  “I know your works – see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it – that you have little power, yet have guarded My Word, and have not denied My Name.

Rev 3:9  “See, I am giving up those of the congregation of Satan, who say they are Yehuim and are not, but lie. See, I am making them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

Rev 3:10   Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I also shall guard you from the hour of trial which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

This is the promise of protection. The "hour of testing" is understood as a future period of tribulation that will affect the entire world. The promise is that those who have persevered in the faith will be shielded from the full force of this trial.

1Co 3:11  For no one is able to lay any other foundation except that which is laid, which is יהושע Messiah. 1Co 3:12  And if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 1Co 3:13  each one’s work shall be revealed, for the day shall show it up, because it is revealed by fire. And the fire shall prove the work of each one, what sort it is.

1Co 3:14  If anyone’s work remains, which he has built on, he shall receive a reward.

1Co 3:15  If anyone’s work is burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, but so as through fire.

How do we know we are building on the right foundation? See 1 Cor 3:13-15

Joh 3:36  “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.”

1Co 10:11  And all these came upon them as examples, and they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of the ages have come, 1Co 10:12  so that he who thinks he stands, let him take heed lest he fall.

Rev 3:11  “See, I am coming speedily! Hold what you have that no one take your crown.

Rev 3:12  “He who overcomes, I shall make him a supporting post in the Dwelling Place of My Elohim, and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the Name of My Elohim and the name of the city of My Elohim, the renewed Yerushalayim, which comes down out of the heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed Name.

Rev 3:13  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Amein.
