Baruch atah YHVH eloheinu melech ha-olam, asher
kideshanu b'mitzvotav, v'tzivanu la'asok b'divrei Torah. V'ha'arev na YHVH
eloheinu et divrei toratecha befinu uvfi amecha beit Yisrael. V'niyeh anachnu
v'tze'etze'einu v'tze'etza'ei amecha beit Yisrael kullanu yodei sh'mecha

Baruch atah YHVH Eloheinu melech ha-olam, asher bachar banu mikol ha'amim
venatan lanu et torato. Baruch atah YHVH, notein haTorah.
English
translation: Blessed art Thou, YHVH our Elohim, King of the
universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us
to actively study Torah. Please YHVH, our Elohim, sweeten the words of Your
Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Israel. May we and our
offspring, and the offspring of Your people, the House of Israel, may we all,
together, know Your Name and study Your Torah for the sake of fulfilling Your
desire. Blessed are You, YHVH, Who teaches Torah to His people Israel. Blessed
are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, Who chose us from all the
nations and gave us the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah.
We will approach this week’s Torah study
from a slightly different angle. We will see from an investigation of the
Hebrew language (lashon ha kodesh) how YHVH reveals His purpose for man and
creation and how man was always meant to be one with his Creator.
It has been said that the Hebrew language
is the DNA of creation. We will see that
the Hebrew language spoken by YHVH that reveals the DNA of man’s redemption and
salvation.
Definition of DNA – it is a noun - deoxyribonucleic acid, a self-replicating material which is present in
nearly all living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. It is the
carrier of genetic information.
The fundamental and
distinctive characteristics or qualities of someone or something, especially
when regarded as unchangeable.
We see from the opening line of the Torah
that YHVH creates all things by His Word – YHVH combines various Hebrew letters
and brings about all things by His Word.
We see this same truth repeated in the Good
News according to Yochanan.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. (note capital “W’s” were not used in
the original)
Joh 1:2 He(mistranslated – not “he” but ‘this”) was
in the beginning with Elohim.
Joh 1:3 All came to be through Him, (“him”
not in the original Greek ms) and without Him not even one came to be that came
to be.
Joh 1:4 In Him(Gk “auto” means the same) was life,
and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the
darkness has not overcome it.
Sadly this translation
contains error and is misleading. A more correct translation follows:
“1 In [a] beginning was the Logos [word], and the Logos pertained to Mighty One [Yahweh], and Mighty One was the Logos. (It can also be translated: and mighty was the Logos if you look at the context of the original Greek manuscript.) 2 This same was in [a] beginning, [and] pertained to Mighty One. 3 All things through it [the word] came into being and apart from it came into being not even one thing, which has come into being. 4 In it was life, and the life was the light of men; 5 and the light in the darkness shines, and the darkness does not overcome it.
14 And so, the Logos [word] came into flesh, [a physical body] and tented [tabernacled] among us, and we gazed upon his esteem, (esteem as an only brought-forth from a father), full of charisma and truth”
Note: In the above passage, words in square brackets [like this] are added for clarification, but are not in the Greek text. The words "Mighty One" has been substituted for the Greek word "Theos" which has the meaning of "Mighty One" in the original Greek language. The word G-d, is of pagan origin, and has no place in Scripture as a reference to the "Mighty One" YHWH (Yahveh).
