Parashat 23 Portion 73 Shemot 38:21-31 haftarah: Yer 30:18-22 Second Writings: Rom 12:1-13

“Pekudei” – Accounts/Notations

Blessing for the Torah Reading:
Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-O’lam, asher bachar banu m’kol ha-amim,
v’natan lanu eht Torah-to. Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn ha-Torah. Ameyn.”

(Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim , King of the Universe, you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah. Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn.)

Yahshua himself will do an accounting of our lives as Moshe did an accounting of the construction of the tabernacle. That’s why we rejoice in the Sabbath and look forward to the millennium because Messiah himself will make sure we all measure up to YHVH’s required measurement of righteousness – Moshiach the goal of the Torah.

We too will stand before Yahshua and give an account of how our lives measured up to Torah the way he and his talmadim taught Torah.

Rom 14:10  … For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah.
Rom 14:12  Each one of us, therefore, shall give account of himself to Elohim.

Why will we give account (pekudei)?

2Pe 1:3  as His Mighty-like power has given to us all we need for life and reverence, through the knowledge of Him who called us to esteem and uprightness.
2Pe 1:4  Through these there have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these you might be partakers of the Mighty-like nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world, caused by lust.
2Pe 1:5  And for this reason do your utmost to add to your belief uprightness, to uprightness knowledge,
2Pe 1:6  to knowledge self-control, to self-control endurance, to endurance reverence,
2Pe 1:7  to reverence brotherly affection, and to brotherly affection love.
2Pe 1:8  For if these are in you and increase, they cause you to be neither inactive nor without fruit in the knowledge of our Master יהושע Messiah.

We know that we are saved by favour and we are saved to walk as Messiah walked.

Eph 2:8  For by favour you have been saved, through belief, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of Elohim,
Eph 2:9  it is not by works, so that no one should boast.
Eph 2:10  For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah יהושע unto good works, which Elohim prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The Torah is the operating manual of how we should walk.
Abrahamic faith came before the giving of the Torah. We are saved by faith and our lives as was Messiah’s  life is measured by the Torah.

Mat 24:12  “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold.
Mat 24:13  “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.1 Footnote:1See 10:22.

Mat 10:22  “And you shall be hated by all for My Name’s sake. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.1 Footnote: 1See 24:13.

We are reminded once again that only those servants of YHVH who are under His continual authority and His continual scrutiny will be able to accomplish the goal (telos) of the high calling of YHVH in Yahshua.

Php 3:14  I press on toward the goal(note it is not yet achieved) for the prize of the high calling of Elohim in Messiah יהושע.
Php 3:15  As many, then, as are perfect,(mature) should have this mind. And if you think differently in any respect, Elohim shall also reveal this to you.

This Torah portion points clearly to our Messiah who fulfilled all the requirements necessary for our complete redemption. The extreme danger of modern religion is that we have added and taken away from what YHVH has established and determined as perfect for our redemption. We also like to impress ourselves that his work is finished in us and we like him have also reached our goal. This is called spiritual projection. An accounting has been made of all His ways and when we find fault or choose to disregard any of His instructions or commandments, we find ourselves on dangerous ground.

The title of our parasha “pekudei” comes from a root Hebrew word “pakad” if we look carefully at the various definitions given in BDB (S6485) we will see that this is a very complicated word and various scholars interpret it differently. In the light of the perfect tense verbs used in the last two portions, I believe we need to look a little deeper at something which directs us to a finished work.
“Parash’ot T’rumah, Tetzaveh, and Ki Tissa signifies the instructions (as can be observed by the fact that the verb tenses are in the future), whereas the latter two portions Vayekel and Pekudei  are in the past tense, signifying the work that was completed according to instructions. “ Sages.

If we look to Messiah the goal of the Torah (Rom 10:4) we come to the conclusion that this work of establishing a presence (Mishkan) for the presence of YHVH has been “eternally secured” and paid for (pakad) by the price Messiah paid when he gave his life on an execution stake.
This same root word “pakad” appears in the Hebrew translation of John 19:30.
Joh 19:30  So when יהושע took the sour wine He said, “It has been accomplished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Directly translated could read: “ Yahshua tasted the vinegar and said peace has been granted and he bowed his head and so his spirit did a full accounting (“vayifked” from the root “pakad”)

In the Greek translation of the above verse the word “Tetelestai” is used for “it is accomplished”. This was an accounting term used in those days when an outstanding account was fully paid.

“Pekudei” is a “pual” verb. This is the passive form of the active “piel.” The implication is that this is an intense passive verb form indicating that some intense action was taken on our behalf to make sure our debt was fully paid for by someone beside ourselves.

What does all this mean? We are not to add or to take away from the complete work of our redemption as secured by YHVH and revealed to us in His Torah and other supporting writings.

Summary of material used and cost of tabernacle:
29 Talents 730 Shekels of Gold
100 Talents 1,775 Shekels of Silver
70 Talents 2,400 Shekels of Brass (which most scholars believe to be copper)
1 Talent = 75.40 pounds
1 Shekel = 0.025 pounds
2204.85 Pounds of Gold
7584.38 Pounds of Silver
5338.00 Pounds of Copper

We use pounds instead of kilograms because gold is valued on the international market in ounces. There are 16 ounces per pound.
Gold $ 1382.96/oz
Silver $29.80/oz
Copper  $0.28/oz
35,276.73 Ounces of Gold X $1382.96 = $48,786,306.52
3,594,982.60 Ounces of Silver X $29.80 = $3,594,982.60
90,445.90 Ounces of Copper X $0.28 = $25,324.85
Total = $52,406,613.97

This does not include the rest of the material used on the tabernacle – which could be estimated at an additional $4.5 million – total approx. $57 billion.
I
n South African terms times this by 10 to get a rand value.
It is about  570 billion rand.
Let’s compare this to the treasures captured in  Nineveh Bablyon:

(Note: Thus, to mention only one or two examples, the images in the temple of Belus, at Babylon, consisted of several thousand talents of gold, to say nothing of the golden tables, the bedsteads, and other articles of gold and silver (Diod. Sic. 2, 9; Herod. 1, 181, 183). In the siege of Nineveh, Sardanapalus erected a funeral pile, upon which he collected all his wealth, including 150 golden bedsteads, 150 golden tables, a million talents of gold, and ten times as much silver and other valuables, to prevent their falling into the hands of the foe (Ctesias in Athen. 12, 28, p. 529). According to a statement in Pliny's Hist. Nat. 33, 3, on the conquest of Asia by Cyrus, he carried off booty to the extent of 34,000 lbs. of gold, beside the golden vessels and 500,000 talents of silver, including the goblet of Semiramis, which alone weighed 15 talents. Alexander the Great found more than 40,000 talents of gold and silver and 9000 talents of coined gold in the royal treasury at Susa (Diod. Sic. 17, 66), and a treasure of 120,000 talents of gold in the citadel of Persepolis (Diod. Sic. 17, 71; Curtius, v. 6, 9). For further accounts of the enormous wealth of Asia in gold and silver, see Bhr, Symbolik i. pp. 258ff.) – Wiki.

The tabernacle used 29 talents of gold, in the above record we have one million talents of gold! The tabernacle used 100 talents of silver in the above record we have 500 000 talents of silver!
What can we deduce from such a comparison?

The idolatry of Babylon knows no bounds to the extent its leaders will go to, to gather astronomical amounts of wealth.

Revelation 18 tells us what happens to this spirit of Babylon in the last days.
It can be compared to the spirit of Esav and Ya akov.

Oba 1:6  “How Ěsaw shall be searched out! His hidden treasures shall be sought out!
Oba 1:10  “Because of your violence against your brother Ya’aqoḇ, let shame cover you. And you shall be cut off forever.

We are not defined by our multi million dollar church buildings and Christian Television stations. We are defined by the Torah. Our lives are not measured by how many souls we have led to Yahshua or big our congregations are – there is only one measurement of our lives and that is Yahshua the goal of the Torah.

Note how Moshe describes a people who belong to YHVH.
Deu 4:5  “See, I have taught you laws and right-rulings, as יהוה my Elohim commanded me, to do thus in the land which you go to possess.
Deu 4:6  “And you shall guard and do them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding before the eyes of the peoples who hear all these laws, and they shall say, ‘Only a wise and understanding people is this great nation!’
Deu 4:7  “For what great nation is there which has Elohim so near to it, as יהוה our Elohim is to us, whenever we call on Him?
Deu 4:8  “And what great nation is there that has such laws and righteous right-rulings like all this Torah which I set before you this day?
Deu 4:9  “Only, guard yourself, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the Words your eyes have seen, and lest they turn aside from your heart all the days of your life. And you shall make them known to your children and your grandchildren.

Our Torah portion begins:

Exo 38:21  These were the appointments (pekudei) of the Dwelling Place, the Dwelling Place of the Witness, which was appointed (pukad) by the command of Mosheh, for the service of the Lĕwites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.
Exo 38:22  And Betsal’ĕl son of Uri, son of Ḥur, of the tribe of Yehuḏah, made all that יהוה had commanded Mosheh.
Exo 38:23  And with him: Oholiaḇ son of Aḥisamaḵ, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and designer, an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet material, and in fine linen.
Exo 38:24  All the gold prepared for the work, in all the work of the set-apart place – and it was the gold of the wave offering – came to be twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty sheqels, according to the sheqel of the set-apart place.
Exo 38:25  And the silver from the ones counted of the congregation was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five sheqels, according to the sheqel of the set-apart place:
Exo 38:26  a beqa, half a sheqel for a head, according to the sheqel of the set-apart place, for everyone passing over to those counted, from twenty years old and above, for six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty men.
Exo 38:27  And the hundred talents of silver were for casting the sockets of the set-apart place and the bases of the veil: one hundred sockets from the hundred talents, a talent for each socket.
Exo 38:28  And of the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five sheqels he made hooks for the columns, and overlaid their tops, and made bands for them.
Exo 38:29  And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred sheqels.
Exo 38:30  And with it he made the sockets for the door of the Tent of Meeting, and the bronze altar, and the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils for the altar,
Exo 38:31  and the sockets for the courtyard all around, and the bases for the courtyard gate, and all the pegs for the Dwelling Place, and all the pegs for the courtyard all around.

The number 1175 is the gematria of all the Hebrew letters combined. Yahshua is referred to as the Aleph Tav – the beginning and the end. He is also the sum total of all of YHVH’s redemptive work and is therefore not only the beginning and the end but everything in between as well.

Joh 7:38  He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."

Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-‘Olam, asher natan lanu Toraht-emet, v’chay-yeh o’lam nata-b’tochenu. Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn ha-Torah. Ameyn.”

(Blessed are you Yahweh, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, Yahweh giver of the Torah – Ameyn

Parashat 22 Portion 72: Shemot/Exodus 37:1-38:20 Haftarah: 1 Kings 8:8-22 Second Writings: 1 Pet 2:4-10

Ameyn.)

What is this Torah portion really about?
It is inviting and describing to us the best and most perfect place to be.
It is about YHVH giving specific instructions as to how He has chosen to relate to us and how we are to relate to Him.
The Ruach of YHVH is not separate from YHVH – The Ruach of YHVH is YHVH revealing Himself to His people and instructing us how to find our way back to Him and His Kingdom.
YHVH has not changed His Covenant – He has caused Messiah to strengthen His Covenant.
The tabernacle was the witness to the fact that YHVH seeks to be seriously engaged with His people. This desire is possibly YHVH’s greatest desire.
Mal 3:6  “For I am יהוה, I shall not change1, and you, O sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end. Footnote: 1Jas. 1:17.

How do we respond to such an Elohim?

Our Messiah clearly stated that we were first to seek the Kingdom or Reign of YHVH and His Righteousness and then all else that we needed would be added to us.
Mat 6:33  “But seek first the reign of Elohim, and His righteousness, and all these matters shall be added to you.

Shaul went on to define the reign of YHVH.
Rom 14:17  For the reign of Elohim is ….righteousness and peace and joy in the Set-apart Spirit.

Shaul goes on to say that many seekers after truth have had a zeal for righteousness but have sought it in the wrong way.

Rom 10:1  Truly brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to Elohim for Yisra’ĕl is for deliverance.
Rom 10:2  For I bear them witness that they have an ardour for Elohim, but not according to knowledge.
Rom 10:3  For not knowing the righteousness of Elohim, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to1 the righteousness of Elohim. Footnote: 1Or did not obey.
Rom 10:4  For Messiah is the goal1 of the ‘Torah unto righteousness’ to everyone who believes. Footnote: 1Or end purpose; not termination.

The greatest single tragedy of humanity is that most people who call themselves believers or seekers after truth have not seen or sought this righteousness in the Torah of YHVH. (Messiah is the righteousness of the Torah)
The result of this tragedy is that the earth is about to be turned upside down and emptied of most of its inhabitants.

Isa 24:1  See, יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants.
Isa 24:4  The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish.

Parashat 22 Portion 71 – Va Yakel- Shemot 34:27-36:38 Haftarah: Yer 31:31-40 Second Writings: 1 Cor 12:1-13

Ameyn.)

"Thus the tales related in the Torah are simply her outer garments, and woe to the man who regards that outer garb as the Torah itself, for such a man will be deprived of portion in the next world. Thus David said: 'Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law' (Psalms 119:18), that is to say, the things that are underneath” - Zohar

Exo 34:27  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Write these Words, for according to the mouth of these Words I have made a covenant with you and with Yisra’ĕl.”
Exo 34:28  And he was there with יהוה forty days and forty nights. He did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the Words of the covenant, the Ten Words.
Exo 34:29  And it came to be, when Mosheh came down from Mount Sinai, while the two tablets of the Witness were in Mosheh’s hand when he came down from the mountain, that Mosheh did not know that the skin of his face shone since he had spoken with Him.
Exo 34:30  And Aharon and all the children of Yisra’ĕl looked at Mosheh and saw the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

Moshe may have experienced what our first father and mother experienced in the garden of Eden – Moshe radiated the esteem or the light of YHVH. The Hebrew word for “light” is “or” ( the Hebrew letters aleph, vav, resh). The Hebrew word for “skin” is also “or”(the Hebrew letters ayin, vav, resh).

Exo 34:31  But Mosheh called out to them, and Aharon and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him, and Mosheh spoke to them.
Exo 34:32  And afterward all the children of Yisra’ĕl came near, and he commanded them all that יהוה had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
Exo 34:33  And when Mosheh ended speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
Exo 34:34  But whenever Mosheh went in before יהוה to speak with Him, he would remove the veil until he came out. And when he came out he spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl what he had been commanded,
Exo 34:35  and the children of Yisra’ĕl would see the face of Mosheh, that the skin of Mosheh’s face shone, and Mosheh would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.
Exo 35:1  And Mosheh assembled all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and said to them, “These are the Words which יהוה has commanded you to do:

א  וַיַּקְהֵל מֹשֶׁה, אֶת-כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל--וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם:  אֵלֶּה, הַדְּבָרִים, אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה, לַעֲשֹׂת אֹתָם.

The reason we are called to come together in set apartness is because we are to be reminded again and again to hear, obey and do all the commandments of YHVH. The word ”kehelah” comes from the title of this week’s portion which means an ”assembly of people.” The Greek word ”ekklesia” is also related to this word.

Let it be stated clearly that YHVH will never ever call an assembly of His set apart ones WITH ANY OTHER AGENDA THAN TO HEAR OBEY AND DO ALL OF HIS TORAH.

We know that presently it is impossible to obey and do all of Torah because there is no temple and we are outside of the land of Yisrael.

Sadly most religious meetings either ignore the Torah or misrepresent the Torah.

Exo 35:2  “Work is done for six days, but on the seventh day it shall be set-apart to you, a Sabbath of rest to יהוה. Anyone doing work on it is put to death.
Exo 35:3  “Do not kindle (ba ar) a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”

The very first duty Yisrael is called upon to perform is that of the Sabbath.

The work of gathering and preparing a fire is clearly what is prohibited.  Just as the work of preparing food or collecting food or wood is prohibited on the seventh day, the preparing and collecting (grazing –Heb “ba ar” pi el verb S 1197) of wood (for the fire) is prohibited on the Sabbath.

Exo 35:4  And Mosheh spoke to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, “This is the word which יהוה commanded, saying,
Exo 35:5  ‘Take from among you a contribution to יהוה. Everyone whose heart so moves him, let him bring it as a contribution to יהוה: gold, and silver, and bronze,
Exo 35:6  and blue, and purple, and scarlet material, and fine linen, and goats’ hair,
Exo 35:7  and ram skins dyed red, and fine leather, and acacia wood,
Exo 35:8  and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,
Exo 35:9  and shoham stones, and stones to be set in the shoulder garment and in the breastplate.
Exo 35:10  ‘And let all the wise-hearted among you come and make all that יהוה has commanded:
Exo 35:11  the Dwelling Place, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its boards, its bars, its columns, and its sockets,
Exo 35:12  the ark and its poles, the lid of atonement and the veil of the covering,
Exo 35:13  the table and its poles, and all its utensils, and the showbread,
Exo 35:14  and the lampstand for the light, and its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for the light,
Exo 35:15  and the incense altar, and its poles, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the covering for the door at the entrance of the Dwelling Place,
Exo 35:16  the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand,
Exo 35:17  the screens of the courtyard, its columns, and their sockets, and the covering for the gate of the courtyard,
Exo 35:18  the pegs of the Dwelling Place, and the pegs of the courtyard, and their cords,
Exo 35:19  the woven garments to do service in the set-apart place, the set-apart garments for Aharon the priest and the garments of his sons to serve as priests.’ ”
Exo 35:20  And all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl withdrew from the presence of Mosheh.
Exo 35:21  And everyone whose heart lifted him up and everyone whose spirit moved him came, and they brought the contribution to יהוה for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all its service, and for the set-apart garments.
Exo 35:22  And they came, both men and women, all whose hearts moved them, and brought earrings and nose rings, and rings and necklaces, all golden goods, even every one who made a wave offering of gold to יהוה.
Exo 35:23  And every man, with whom was found blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and rams’ skins dyed red, and fine leather, brought them.
Exo 35:24  Everyone who would make a contribution to יהוה of silver or bronze, brought it. And everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.
Exo 35:25  And all the wise-hearted women spun yarn with their hands, and brought what they had spun, the blue and the purple, the scarlet material, and the fine linen.
Exo 35:26  And all the women whose hearts lifted them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.
Exo 35:27  And the rulers brought shoham stones, and the stones to be set in the shoulder garment and in the breastplate,
Exo 35:28  and the spices and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
Exo 35:29  The children of Yisra’ĕl brought a voluntary offering to יהוה, all the men and women whose hearts moved them to bring all kinds of work which יהוה, by the hand of Mosheh, had commanded to be done.
Exo 35:30  And Mosheh said to the children of Yisra’ĕl, “See, יהוה has called by name Betsal’ĕl son of Uri, son of Ḥur, of the tribe of Yehuḏah,
Exo 35:31  and He has filled him with the Spirit of Elohim, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work,
Exo 35:32  to make designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze,
Exo 35:33  and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving wood, and to work in all workmanship of design.
Exo 35:34  “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Oholiaḇ son of Aḥisamaḵ, of the tribe of Dan.
Exo 35:35  “He has filled them with skill to do all work of the engraver and the designer and embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and a weaver, doing any work, and makers of designs.
Exo 36:1  “And Betsal’ĕl and Oholiaḇ, and every wise-hearted man in whom יהוה has given wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all work for the service of the set-apart place, shall do according to all that יהוה has commanded.”
Exo 36:2  And Mosheh called Betsal’ĕl and Oholiaḇ, and every wise-hearted man in whose heart יהוה had given wisdom, everyone whose heart lifted him up, to come and do the work.
Exo 36:3  And they received from Mosheh all the contribution which the children of Yisra’ĕl had brought for the work of the service of making the set-apart place. But they still brought to him voluntary offerings every morning,
Exo 36:4  so all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the set-apart place came, each from the work he was doing,

Exo 36:5  and they spoke to Mosheh, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which יהוה commanded us to do.”

Exo 36:6  Then Mosheh commanded and they sent this word throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the contribution of the set-apart place.” And the people were withheld from bringing,
Exo 36:7  for what they had was enough for all the work to be done, more than enough.
Exo 36:8  Then all the wise-hearted ones among them who worked on the Dwelling Place made ten curtains woven of fine linen and blue and purple and scarlet material. They made them with keruḇim, the work of a skilled workman.
Exo 36:9  The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits, all the curtains having one measure.
Exo 36:10  And he joined five curtains, one to another; and the other five curtains he joined, one to another.
Exo 36:11  And he made loops of blue on the edge of the end curtain of one set, the same he did on the edge of the end curtain of the other set.
Exo 36:12  Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the end curtain of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.
Exo 36:13  And he made fifty hooks of gold, and joined the curtains to each other with the hooks, and the Dwelling Place became one.
Exo 36:14  And he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the Dwelling Place, he made eleven curtains.
Exo 36:15  The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits, the eleven curtains having one measure.
Exo 36:16  And he joined five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.
Exo 36:17  And he made fifty loops on the edge of the end curtain in one set, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain of the second set.
Exo 36:18  And he made fifty bronze hooks to join the tent, to be one.
Exo 36:19  And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins, dyed red, and a covering of fine leather above that.
Exo 36:20  And for the Dwelling Place he made boards of acacia wood, standing up.
Exo 36:21  The length of each board was ten cubits, and the width of each board a cubit and a half.
Exo 36:22  Each board had two tenons for binding one to another. So he did to all the boards of the Dwelling Place.
Exo 36:23  And he made boards for the Dwelling Place, twenty boards for the south side.
Exo 36:24  And he made forty sockets of silver to go under the twenty boards, and two sockets under each of the boards for its two tenons.
Exo 36:25  And for the other side of the Dwelling Place, for the north side, he made twenty boards,
Exo 36:26  and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board.
Exo 36:27  And he made six boards for the west side of the Dwelling Place.
Exo 36:28  And he made two boards for the two back corners of the Dwelling Place.
Exo 36:29  And they were double beneath, and similarly they were complete to the top by one ring. So he did to both of them for the two corners.

Exo 36:31  And he made bars of acacia wood, five for the boards on one side of the Dwelling Place,
Exo 36:32  and five bars for the boards on the other side of the Dwelling Place, and five bars for the boards of the Dwelling Place at the rear, westward.
Exo 36:33  And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other.
Exo 36:34  And he overlaid the boards with gold, and their rings he made of gold to be holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.

Exo 36:38  and its five columns with their hooks. And he overlaid their tops and their rings with gold, but their five sockets were of bronze.

We who have come out of the Pentecostal Charismatic movement need to take another careful look at the gifts and ministries of the Ruach Ha Kodesh (Set Apart Spirit).
These gifts and manifestations were meant to build up and establish the “Kehelah” (assembly) of YHVH in such a way that they could function according to the instructions of Torah to be a light to the gentiles.
The gifts and ministries of the Ruach of YHVH have been given to conform His Kehelah into the image of Messiah.
It will only be a corporate anointing working in unity amongst the Redeemed of Yisrael that will bring about a perfect union between Yahshua and His Bride.

We are commanded to be filled with the Spirit.

Eph 5:18 …. be filled with the Spirit,
Eph 5:19  speaking to each other in psalms and songs of praise and spiritual songs, singing and striking the strings in your heart to the Master,

We need to humble ourselves and pray and ask YHVH to show us what hinders the moving of His Ruach amongst us.

We see a pattern right in the beginning of Torah. Where there is chaos and turmoil on the earth YHVH “blows” His Ruach over the chaos to create what is good and perfect and pleasing in His Eyes.

Note the pattern of Shavuot/“Pentecost”  in the book of  Acts. There were first a small group of people who received the infilling of the Ruach. This prepared the way for an even greater outpouring on the 3000 and then subsequent outpourings mentioned in the book of Acts. These vessels (people) were “Torah shaped” and Torah prepared. The Ruach of YHVH CANNOT occupy a vessel that has not been shaped and formed by His Word – His Torah.

Gen 1:1  In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.
Gen 1:2  And the earth came to be1 formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim was moving on the face of the waters. Footnote: 1Or the earth became.

The Hebrew words for “formless and void” (tohu vavohu) cannot be directly translated and implies an “astonishing emptiness.” This emptiness or vanity can be caused by idolatry.

Today after many centuries of disregard for YHVH’s Torah we have an astonishing emptiness of an understanding of YHVH and His Ways.
And most of us don’t even realize it.

At the end of this age YHVH will once again “breath” (pour out His Ruach) on an end time Messianic people. Shavuout (Pentecost) cannot be separated from the giving of the Torah (mattan ha torah)

Joe 2:28  “And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men dream dreams, your young men see visions.
Joe 2:29  “And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days.
Joe 2:30  “And I shall give signs in the heavens and upon the earth: blood and fire and columns of smoke,
Joe 2:31  the sun is turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה.

Yahshua commanded his Talmadim after his death to wait until Shavuot (Pentecost) when they too would be empowered by the Spirit of YHVH to proclaim the Kingdom of YHVH to all nations.
The world has never seen a messianic community as vibrant and zealous for the Torah as this first community in Yerushalayim after receiving the fullness of the Ruach Ha Kodesh.
