Parashat 53- “Ha azinu” – “give ear”- The Song of Moshe (Moses).

Dev/Deut 32:1-52

The words of this song may soon become the only light and hope we will have in a world submerged in total darkness.
The sages teach that our entire life history is encapsulated in the song of Moshe and that “If Israel was wise, they might study these verses in the Song of Moshe to know their latter end”.
“They correspond to things Yahshua said and parallel the events recorded in the book of Revelation. The song of Moshe is all about how YHWH has dealt with His people Israel and how they responded to Him. It tells of how they have provoked Him to anger with their infidelity to Him. He speaks of His desire for them to return to Him and keep His commandments and statutes. Paul informs us who comprises the Olive tree of Israel and how we (ex- gentiles) are grafted back in. Ezekiel also tells us about the restoration of the Olive tree and the grafting of the two trees of Judah and Israel together again. We are told that Israel has cast away the law (Torah) and their Elohim. The only way to bring Israel back to YHWH is to make them realize their need for Him and that their idols of gold and silver cannot deliver them. This is the purpose of the tribulation which YHWH will allow to come upon them. But, He will not suffer them to be completely destroyed. He will return and rescue His bride and destroy those that sought to destroy her. Then He will set up His righteous kingdom on earth and will dwell in the midst of His people Israel forever. They will be His people and He will be their Elohim. This is the Mystery of the Olive tree and how it relates to the song of Moshe. If only those in the Christian churches today realized who they are and would turn back to the Torah and embrace the commandments (and community) of YHWH. They would be protected in the time of their calamity. But sadly, only a remnant will”.

Psa 119:92 If Your Torah had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

Moshe starts his wilderness ministry with a song, (Ex 15) now he ends it with a song – why?  Only YHVH knows how to create harmony out of the bareness and chaos of this life.

Background History of the Song of Moshe - Ha-azinu

Deut/Dev 32; the Song of Mosheh was prayed every morning in the Temple/ Beit HaMiqdash. It was prayed by the kohanim, who would run to do this prayer, which was performed in the Chamber of Hewn Stone—the meeting place of the highest court in Eretz Yisra'el. The sages taught that “ha-azinu” has 6 parts, which point to the 6 eschatological periods of the Olam ha-zeh (present age), leading up to the final eschatological period—the time when King Messiah will reign. Performing the “ha-azinu” prayer reminded the kohanim that we can maintain our stability in the present because of the promise of the future.
We see an amazing structure to this song in the Torah scroll. It is written in two columns. (70 lines)

In this teaching I have presented in bold the words written on the right hand side of the scroll, the sentences not in bold are the sentences on the left hand side of the scroll.

I believe that every word in this song of Moshe points to the words and works of Messiah, in fact the sages expressed concern that this text hints at another “deity”, and have “altered” parts of the text  to try and  avoid this confusion. Romans 10:4 clearly reminds us that the Torah points us to Messiah (the “telos” – G 5056 or goal of the Torah and not the end as some translations claim)

Rom 10:4  For Messiah is the goal1 of the ‘Torah unto righteousness’ to everyone who believes. Footnote: 1Or end purpose; not termination.

G5056 τέλος telos -From a primary word τέλλω tellō (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly the point aimed at as a limit, that is, (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination [literally, figuratively or indefinitely], result [immediate, ultimate or prophetic], purpose); specifically an impost or levy (as paid): - + continual, custom, end (-ing), finally, uttermost. Compare G5411.

So when we sing this song in the great tribulation it is going to be like a deliverance song, it is going to be a testimony of our lives and a confession that He alone is able to save us and we will proclaim that even though we may be unworthy He has made us worthy and redeemed us. It will be the key to help us understand all that will unfold in the last days.
I personally don’t know how anyone could ever make it through the coming great tribulation without  a deep understanding and revelation of who we are and who He is and why all these things  are going to happen around us and to us.

Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones!
I believe that the Song of Moshe and the Song of the Lamb are both the SAME SONG that will be sung and understood in the latter days.

Blessing for the Torah:

Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-O’lam, asher bachar banu m’kol ha-amim,
v’natan lanu eht Torah-to.
Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn ha-Torah. Ameyn.”

(Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim , King of the Universe,
you have selected us from among all the peoples, and have given us your Torah.
Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn.)

Haftarah: 2 Samuel 22:1-51

1.Dev 32:1Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak; - (right hand side)
א  הַאֲזִינוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם, וַאֲדַבֵּרָה;

Moshe first addresses the heavens. These words appear on the right hand side of the Torah reading. He knows that the hosts of heaven will witness these words and at the right time they will remind those who are on the earth of their importance.
Note the Hebrew word “give ear” is “ha azinu” it is a hiphyl imperative verb. The Hebrew word used her for speak is “ve adaberah” this is a cohortative verb which means that the speaker wishes to emphasize desire and intention. Note this verb is preceded by a “vav consecutive” meaning that the tense has reversed. It is therefore the perfect tense and denotes a completed action. Therefore the speaker wants to emphasize that heaven must allow their ears to listen as it implies that these words have already been spoken and will be repeated again in the future.

1 (b)  and  hear, O earth, The words (sayings) of my mouth. (Left hand side)
וְתִשְׁמַע הָאָרֶץ, אִמְרֵי-פִ

Note again the Hebrew perfect tense for the verb “vetishme ah” with a vav consequative. This implies that the earth has ALREADY HEARD because the words have already been spoken.
We note here that every word that YHVH wants us to hear and take very seriously is confirmed by at least two witnesses.

Deu 19:15  “One witness does not rise up against a man concerning any crookedness or any sin that he commits. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses a matter is established.

2Co 13:1  This is the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”1 Footnote: 1Dt. 19:15.

So then why is Moshe so concerned about having heaven and earth witness what he is about to say?

MOSHE IS ABOUT TO INTRODUCE THE MESSIAH. MOSHE GOES ON TO DESCRIBE HIM AND HOW WE REJECT HIM. MOSHE WARNS OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE REJECTION AND THE MISREPRESENTATION OF THE MESSIAH. MOSHE SPEAKS OF THE BLESSINGS AND RESTORATION THAT WILL COME TO THOSE WHO ARE CALLED AND READY IN THE LATTER DAYS.

2. Dev 32:2Let my instruction fall as rain,
ב יַעֲרֹף כַּמָּטָר לִקְחִי,

“Allow My instruction to be as a trickling rain” allow My Torah to completely soak you. YHVH intended that every Word that came from His Heart was intended to soak us with Messianic awareness and revelation.

2(b)   My speech drop down (distil) as dew –
תִּזַּל כַּטַּל אִמְרָתִי,

When we receive this “Messianic Rain” in our hearts that are ready and prepared like the good soil which produces a great harvest it will produce eternal life in us.

“What I have said” (amarti) will rise up like a morning mist. Mist is the moisture that rises from earth early in the morning. In other words when the Torah of Messiah falls like rain upon the earth it will produce life amongst those upon whom it has fallen, like mist which rises from the earth to irrigate the plants and give life.

3. As fine rain on the tender plants,

Messiah himself was our example for us receiving like a tender plant the Torah of heaven.
Yoel/Joe 2:23  And you children of Tsiyon, be glad and rejoice in יהוה your Elohim, for He shall give you the Teacher of Righteousness, and cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain, as before.
Another English translation - Joe 2:23  Then be glad, sons of Zion, and rejoice in  YHVH your Elohim. For He has given to you the early rain according to righteousness,(or teacher of righteousness “litzadika”)  and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain in the first month.

3(b) And as showers on the grass. (Herbs- more established and hardy)

This gives us a picture of a famer who wants light rain just after he has sown his crop. This is to give the budding seedlings time to grow and become strong. However when that crop is established the farmer desires a stronger rain that will give enough moisture to last until harvest time.
Heavy showers in the end times will usher the return of Messiah. This is the latter rain spoken of by Yoel.
We could also use an image of Torah shaped vessels that have been formed and prepared to receive and retain a great end time outpouring of the Ruach ha Kodesh. (Shavuot)
“The rainy cycle of Israel is a prophetic type of the outpouring of the Ruach of YHVH  and the harvest of souls associated with true revivals. In late October, the early rain comes. It is called "yoreh," or "the pourer." It gives the young seedlings their first spurt of growth to really start them on the way to maturity. The rainy season follows, a time of relatively steady, but not heavy rains. Finally, in late March or April, the latter rain comes. The Hebrews called it "malqoesh" or the "harvest rain." It was much heavier than the early rain, and compared to the rainy season, it was a veritable deluge. The crops grew by leaps and bounds during this time, and the harvest immediately followed.” (Shavuot/Pentecost)

4. Dev 32:3 “For I proclaim the Name of יהוה,

“I am calling on the name of YHVH” these could very well be the words again of the Messiah. Here he is clearly telling us that he is not YHVH.  (Shema Yisrael …..)

4(b)   Ascribe greatness to our Elohim.

When we understand and identify with the mission of Messiah it will draw the same response from us as it did from him – to ascribe greatness to YHVH.

5.     Dev 32:4The Rock! His work is perfect,  (YHVH)

5(b)  For all His ways are right-ruling,

The perfection of YHVH and His ways will be manifest on earth through His Son Moshiach and His bride.

6.     An Ěl of truth and without unrighteousness, (iniquity)

This once again refers to YHVH. Yahshua took upon himself our iniquity. It was absolutely impossible for YHVH to do so. Yahshua could because he was not YHVH, he was not a deity.

6(b) Righteous and straight is he.

Yahshua was the only one who’s walk on earth was righteous (tazdik) and straight (yashar). The Hebrew says “ve eyn avon” which means “without iniquity”. There is no other human being on earth who can claim this kind of status. The iniquity that Yahshua took upon himself was not his but ours.

7.     Dev 32:5 ה  שִׁחֵת לוֹ לֹא, בָּנָיו מוּמָם
Which should literally read “ he became perverted or corrupt for/to him, not his sons/children the moral stains of them”. This could also read “he became corrupt with the moral stains that were not his but those of other sons.”
In verse 5  the English translation is difficult to separate because words from both the right and the left are mixed up - Deu 32:5  “A twisted and crooked generation has corrupted itself, Their blemish, they are not His children. It should read:

7(b)   a generation perverse and twisted (wrestling with itself)” referring to the sons of men on earth.

8.    Dev 32:6 “Do you do this to יהוה, (is this the way you repay Yahveh?)
ו הַ לְיְהוָה, תִּגְמְלוּ-זֹאת--

Note the enlarged “hey” in the Torah. This once again points to the Revelation of YHVH which is Yahshua  – “hey” speaks of revelation (window) in the Hebrew idiom.

Is this the way you treat the Moshiach who has the full revelation of YHVH dwelling within him?

8(b) O foolish and unwise people – left hand side.
This is what we on earth have done to the One who came to reveal the Father.

9.  Is He not your Father, who bought you,
Did YHVH not purchase us with the blood of His son?
1 Cor 6:20 says we have been bought with a price!!!

9(b) Who created you and established you.

10.Dev 32:7 “Remember the days of old,

10(b) Consider the years of many generations. ..

Return to the ancient paths of your fathers – Yirmeyahu/Jer 6:16  Thus said יהוה, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves. But they said, ‘We do not walk in it.’
There is an old saying that says “if you don’t know where you have come from, you don’t know where you are going”
We have seen how Christianity has tried to remove us from our roots and establish a new identity for us. In Messiah we are sons and daughters of Avraham and citizens of the commonwealth of Yisrael.

11. Ask (beg) your father and let him show you,
A father is a life source. The sages say that the rabbi’s are like fathers yet more important than earthly fathers, because your earthly father brings you into this world, you spiritual father (rabbi) brings you into the world to come.

11(b) Your elders, and let them say to you:

Those who sit at the gates (zekanim) who have wisdom and discernment, confirm the truth.  This begs the question then “how willing are we really to submit and honour the authority YHVH has called?”
These elders are going to teach us and prepare us to receive our inheritance - the land and the gifts and callings to enable us to live in the land and rule and reign with Messiah.

12.Dev 32:8When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance
Psa 2:7  “I inscribe for a law: יהוה has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have brought You forth.
Psa 2:8  ‘Ask of Me, and I make the gentiles Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth Your possession.

12(b) When He separated the sons of Aḏam,
We who are Messianic understand that YHVH has called us to be part of a Set Apart People and Nation and to live in Set Apart land called Yisrael. The Torah is our Constitution our Covenant and Ketubah (marriage covenant).

13 He set the boundaries of the peoples

13(b) According to the number of the children of Yisra’ĕl.
YHVH will ultimately determine what the various nations will possess. This He does for the benefit of Yisrael, who will rule and reign with Messiah over all the nations.

14. Dev 32:9 “For(because “ki”) the portion of יהוה is His people,
YHVH has given Himself a portion as well – His people.

14(b) Ya’aqov His allotted inheritance.
YHVH’s portion is His people – Yakov or Yisrael is all those grafted into Yisrael.

15.Dev 32:10 “He found him in a wilderness,
Heb “yimtzeoo” means “he will find him”
In the last days Messiah’s bride will be found in the wilderness.

15(b) And in a wasted, howling desert.
In the midst of the great challenges of the end times, His called out ones will find themselves in a wilderness. Hos 2:14  “Therefore, see, I am alluring her, and shall lead her into the wilderness, and shall speak to her heart…..

16. He encompassed him, He made him understand,
An end time generation is going to have such a profound assurance of the presence of YHVH surrounding them even in the midst of chaos. We see this truth illustrated when Yisrael experienced the pillar of cloud by day and column of fire by night in there wilderness wandering.

16(b) He watched over him as the apple of His eye.

YHVH will protect a remnant. Rev 3:7  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write, ‘He who is set-apart, He who is true, He who has the key of Dawiḏ, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, says this:
Rev 3:8  “I know your works – see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it – that you have little power, yet have guarded My Word, and have not denied My Name.
Rev 3:9  “See, I am giving up those of the congregation of Satan, who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but lie. See, I am making them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
Rev 3:10  “Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I also shall guard you from the hour of trial which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

17.Dev 32:11 “As an eagle stirs up its nest,

17(b) Flutters over its young,

18. Spreading out its wings, taking them up,

18(b) Bearing them on its wings.

Additional notes by Rabbi Ginsburgh: “The Messianic Wings”

One of the most potent images in the song of Ha'azinu is the image of the eagle hovering over his nest of fledglings (Deuteronomy 32:11). In this metaphor, YHVH, the eagle, comes to waken the fledglings in his nest, hovers over them, spreads his wings over them and finally lifts them on his wings in redemptive flight through the sky. There are two synonyms for "wings" in this verse: kanaf, whose numerical value is 150, and evrah, whose numerical value is 208. Together, these two words equal 358, the numerical value of Mashiach. The eagle carrying the Hebrew People on his wings is the Mashiach, carrying out his Divine Messianic mission. In the Torah portion of Yitro (Exodus 19:4) God also refers to the redemption from Egypt as redemption "on the wings of eagles." Clearly, the eagle and his wings have messianic implications.

The Hovering Eagle
Before the eagle takes his fledglings on his wings, he must awaken them. The eagle is a massive and powerful bird. If he lands on his nest suddenly, he is liable to crush his fragile fledglings. Thus, our verse illustrates the eagle as hovering over his nest, expressing himself to his fledglings as the most gentle of creatures, manifesting perfect balance and stability. The verb for "hover" rachef, is very rare in the Torah. One of its only other appearances is in the second verse of Genesis, "and the spirit of YHVH hovered over the waters." Our sages explain that this is the spirit of Mashiach. The waters are the waters of teshuvah (repentance), the awakening of the consciousness of the being/soul to return to YHVH. These two expressions of "hovering" are completely complementary. Both point to the awakening of the Hebrew People to the Messianic reality of return to YHVH.

Touching and Not Touching
In Chassidut the hovering of the eagle is referred to as "touching and not touching." The eagle is able to simultaneously touch and not touch, allowing his fledglings to awaken little by little, in accordance with their ability to grasp his presence. The power to touch is the power to be involved – to inspire the other. Not touching allows the other free choice so that his being/soul can awaken by itself in its desire to ascend toward YHVH. The eagle -- Mashiach -- inspires us while simultaneously and paradoxically allowing us to slowly integrate the new Messianic reality at our own, individual pace.

The Song of the Wings of the Eagle
The Hebrew word for "eagle" is nesher; nun, shin, reish. The final two letters of nesher spell shar, which means "song." More than any other word in the song of Ha'azinu, the word shar is the essential syllable of nesher. There are two types of song: verbal song (including poetry) and melody. In Hebrew, "song," which includes poetry, is called shir, as represented by the Hebrew letters shin and reish of nesher. The Hebrew word for "melody" is nigun, which begins with a nun, the first letter of nesher. Thus, nesher is an acronym for the two types of song. Our sages teach that when the eagle approaches his nest he beats his wings to create a song, gently preparing his fledglings for his arrival. To arouse the souls of the Hebrew People and the entire world, each person with his own spark of Mashiach must possess the power of poetry and melody inherent in the eagle.

The Nest
Our verse describes the eagle as arousing (the fledglings in) his nest. Our sages teach that the Mashiach sits in a nest in the Garden of Eden, waiting to redeem the world. The Hebrew word for "nest" is ken, which is cognate to tikun -- "rectification," and also kinyan -- possession. The most perfected possession is the new Torah of Mashiach, the song of the wings of the eagle, which begins to resonate as he approaches his fledglings. This new Messianic Torah will bring about our rectification as the eagle approaches his nest to gently -- touching and not touching -- arouse his waiting fledglings.

All for the Best
The word for "fledglings" in our verse is gozalav, whose root is gimel, lamed, zayin. These letters are an acronym for a very basic phrase "Gam zu letovah," which means: "This too is for the best." The fledgling waiting to be lifted onto Messianic wings must be awakened to the consciousness that whatever happens to us is for the best, and will ultimately lead to the true and complete redemption. End quote.

19. Dev 32:12 יהוה alone led him,

19(b) And there was no strange mighty one with him.
This dispels the lies of the Trinitarian teaching.

20. Dev 32:13 “He made him ride in the heights of the earth,
Lit. Heb. states – He caused him to ride on the high places of the high places of the earth.
Php 2:9  Elohim, therefore, has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name,
Php 2:10  that at the Name of יהושע every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Php 2:11  and every tongue should confess that יהושע Messiah is Master, to the esteem of Elohim the Father.

20(b) And he ate the fruit of the fields,
Messiah is yet to receive the greatest reward of all men.
21. And He made him to draw honey from the rock,
Messiah received a greater revelation from YHVH than Moshe. Moshe drew water but Yahshua draws honey from the Rock.
21(b)  And oil from the flinty rock,
Flint. A well-known stone, a variety of quartz. It is extremely hard, and strikes fire. It was very abundant in and about Palestine.
Luk 12:49  “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

The following verses speak of the great abundance and kindness YHVH bestowed on His people but they just grew fat and rebelled against Him and His Torah.

22. Dev 32:14 “Curds from the cattle, And milk of the flock,

22(b) With fat of lambs,

23. And rams of the breed of Bashan, And goats,
Bashan was on the east side of the Yarden, the inheritance of the half tribe of Mannesheh. (also the possible refuge of an end time remnant – Petra)

23(b) with the choicest wheat;

24. And you drank wine, the blood of the grapes.

24 (b) Dev 32:15 “But Yeshurun grew fat and kicked;
Jeshurun = “upright one”- a symbolic name for Yisrael describing her ideal character.
In spite of all YHVH does for “Yeshurun” which is used only twice in the scripture, she rebels againt Him. (Both houses of Yisrael – Yahudah and Yisrael (Ephrayim) Jew and Gentile)

25. You grew fat, you grew thick, You are covered with fat;

25(b) So he forsook Eloah who made him,
In spite of us receiving the blessing of this anointing, both Jews and gentiles forsook YHVH.

26.And scorned the Rock of his deliverance.
Heb. “va yin a bel” to treat with contempt.

26(b) Dev 32:16 “They moved Him to jealousy with foreign matters,
We respond by making YHVH jealous with “alien gods” (strange doctrines and ideas)

27.With abominations they provoked Him.
Heb word for “abominations” is with disgusting things of unclean food and mixed marriages.

27(b)Dev 32:17 “They slaughtered to demons – not Eloah
Many thought they were serving YHVH but they were actually serving demonic strongholds.

28. Mighty ones they did not know,

28(b) New ones who came lately,
The major religions of the world – Islam, Christianity and Judaism are all modern day religions that claim to have ancient roots. These religions have brought a heavy bondage upon humanity, through their ignorant practices of idolatry. Idolatry is understood here as not giving YHVH the preeminence and honour He deserves.

29.Which your fathers did not fear.

*29(b) Dev 32:18 “You neglected the Rock who brought you forth,
“Tzur yaladecha teshi” the rock which caused you to be born again, you are oblivious to” Oblivious or “Teshi”
See chumash p 1104 the fith line from the top. This word has been incorrectly spelled and it has a yud which is half way down from its normal position with a tittel on top. Why?
Many of us can testify how for many years we struggled to relate to YHVH as Father, because we have been taught that Yahshua and YHVH are one and the same. We have elevated the position of Yahshua to that of YHVH. This is in its very nature blasphemous. YHVH has no equal, He is “echad” He is YHVH ALONE.
Recently on TBN an international teacher claimed that YHVH was semi -retired (a terrible insult).
So in our deification of Yahshua it is like dropping the yud and becoming darkened in our understanding of who YHVH really is. This after all was and remains the mission of our Messiah – to join us back to YHVH – to bring us back to the Garden of Eden where we once enjoyed uninterrupted fellowship with YHVH.

30. And forgot the Ěl who fathered you.
The source of all life, even the life of Moshiach.

30(b) Dev 32:19 “And יהוה saw, and despised,
YHVH has not been pleased with the way we have confused His identity and disobeyed His Word. This is not some light matter or some minor oversight with Him and the result is that YHVH then spurns and treats with contempt those who have despised Him.

31. Because of the provocation of His sons and His daughters.
We as believers have provoked and vexed YHVH because of these things.

31(b) Dev 32:20 “And He said, ‘Let Me hide My face from them,
The worst form of judgment is when YHVH hides His face from us and we don’t even KNOW IT.

32. Let Me see what their end is,
YHVH will examine and inspect us in our latter end. (Heb –yira can mean see or examine)

32(b) For they are a perverse generation,
Hebrew – “they turn things upside down”.

 33. Children in whom there is no trusting.
No faithfulness.

*33(b) Dev 32:21 “They made Me jealous by what is not Ěl,
Note “El” also has a “tittel”
They called Yahshua YHVH.
In the Torah sefer this “ El” has a tittel over it ie  Moshe is drawing our attention to a hidden meaning. I believe   can be a reference to the faulty trinity teaching of our time. It also can refer to all the lies religious men both Jew and gentile have substituted for the true worship of YHVH.

34. They provoked Me with their worthless matters.
They provoked YHVH with vanity (heb vapour) . ie issues they thought they were very important were just a bag of wind.

34(b) But I make them jealous by those who are no people,

35. I provoke them with a foolish nation. See Rom 11:14

35(b) Dev 32:22 “For a fire was kindled in My wrath

36. And burns to the bottom of She’ol,
Judgment will begin in His house and it will be an extremely severe and comprehensive judgment.

36(b) And consumes the earth and its increase,

37. And sets on fire the foundations of mountains.
Everything that can be shaken will be shaken and man’s way of doing things for the past 6000 years is going to come to an abrupt end.

37(b) Deu 32:23 “I gather evils upon them,
This could be the time of Yakov’s trouble -  KJV “ I will heap mischiefs upon them.”

38. I use up My arrows upon them –
Even upon those who call upon His name will die or be wounded.

38(b) Dev 32:24 “Wasted by scarcity of food, And consumed by heat and
Heb – sucked out by famine by the conditions that exist in the world.

39. bitter destruction,
Heb – the destruction that brings bitterness.

39(b) And the teeth of beasts I send upon them,
Hab 1:2  O יהוה, till when shall I cry, and You not hear? I cry to You, “Violence!” and You do not save.
Hab 1:3  Why do You show me wickedness, and cause me to see perversity? For ruin and violence are before me. And there is strife, and contention arises.
Hab 1:4  Therefore the Torah ceases, and right-ruling never goes forth. For the wrong hem in the righteous, so that right-ruling comes out twisted.
Hab 1:5  “Look among the nations and see, and be amazed, be amazed! For a work is being wrought in your days which you would not believe if it were told.
Hab 1:6  “See, I am raising up the Chaldeans, a bitter and hasty nation, who is going through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs. (Demonic spirits will take possession of people like never before in the last days)

40. With the poison of serpents of the dust.
Heb – “im chamat zochlei afar” the rage of the enemy will cause you to want to disappear forever, but it will not happen.

40(b) Deu 32:25 “The sword bereaves from the outside,
Or makes barren, not being able to produce anything worthwhile

41. And fear from within,
Constant inner anxiety that will rob people of their senses.

41(b)  Both young man and maiden,

42 Nursing child with the man of grey hairs.
From a sucking infant to an old man, no one excluded.

42(b) Deu 32:26 “I said, ‘I should blow them away,
Heb - They shall be scattered in pieces.

43 I should make the remembrance of them

43(b) To cease from among men,

44. Dev 32:27 ‘If I did not fear the enemy’s taunt, Lest their adversaries misunderstand,

44(b) Lest they say, “Our hand is high,

45. And יהוה has not done all this.” ’
This is the work of the Father and not the enemy – His people will not blame the devil, they will know that judgment has come from the hand of YHVH.

45(b) Dev 32:28 “For they are a nation lost to counsel,
Some people will not understand what has happened to them by the hand of YHVH because they have become completely un-teachable.

46. And there is no understanding in them.
Because they have not embraced Torah and Messiah they have no foundation to know what is going on around them.
46(b) Dev 32:29 “If they were wise, They would understand this,
A remnant will understand (may we be included)

47. They would consider their latter end!
Truly spiritual people don’t just think about now – The messianic movement is preparing a people for the coming Messiah.

47(b) Dev 32:30 “How would one chase a thousand,
How can we be successful against our enemies?

48. And two put ten thousand to flight,
As believers we were meant to have victory over our enemies

48(b) Unless their Rock had sold them,
Hebrew “sold” is “surrounded or locked up” Only those believers who have YHVH’s protection in the last days will be able to drive away the enemy. Many however will not be able to resist the enemy.
Rev 13:7  And it was given to him to fight with the set-apart ones and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation.

Amo 5:18  Woe to you who are longing for the day of יהוה! What does the day of יהוה mean to you? It is darkness, and not light,
Amo 5:19  as when a man flees from a lion, and a bear shall meet him; or entered his house, rested his hand on the wall, and a serpent shall bite him.
Amo 5:20  Is not the day of יהוה darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

Amo 8:11  “See, days are coming,” declares the Master יהוה, “that I shall send a hunger in the land, not a hunger for bread, nor a thirst for water, but for hearing the Words of יהוה.
Amo 8:12  “And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east – they shall diligently search, seeking the Word of יהוה, but they shall not find it

49. And יהוה had given them up?
Heb - imprisoned

49(b) Dev 32:31 “For their rock is not like our Rock
Our Deliverer protects and delivers us. The anti messiah will promise great things but not be able to deliver them.

50 Even our enemies are judges.
The Father allows even our enemies to judge us and hopefully bring us to our senses.

50(b) Deu 32:32 “Their vine is of the vine of Seḏom
Those who oppose the truth and those who are in agreement with them are given over to gross perversion and immorality.

51. And of the fields of Amorah;
Their origins are beyond repair, the very soil is given over to produce iniquity. (Council of Nicea)

51(b) Their grapes are grapes of gall,
Gall dysfunction produces bitterness to the body. This kind of bitterness pollutes many others.

52. Their clusters are bitter.
Their increase will also produce bitterness.

52(b) Dev 32:33 “Their wine is the poison of serpents,
Their covenant brings destruction.

53. And the fierce venom of cobras.
There is little chance of survival to those who have been infected with this poison.

53(b) Dev 32:34 ‘Is it not stored up with Me, (me)
YHVH’s help is in Messiah, sealed up in an end time remnant.

54Sealed up among My treasures?
YHVH has stored up a precious reward for those who have been faithful.

54(b) Dev 32:35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and repayment,
Our heavenly Father will judge and reward and remove all impurities.

55. At the time their foot slips;
Many will struggle to stand in the day of adversity.

55(b)  For near is the day of their calamity,

56. And the matters prepared are hastening to them.

56(b) Dev 32:36 “For יהוה rightly rules His people

57. And has compassion on His servants,

57(b) When He sees that their power is gone,

58 . And there is no one remaining, Shut up or at large.
Now YHVH has EVERBODY’S ATTENTION.

58(b) Dev 32:37 “And He shall say, ‘Where are their mighty ones,
Where are all your leaders who so arrogantly assumed they knew everything?

59. The rock in whom they sought refuge?
Who was their rock or source?

59(b) Dev 32:38 ‘Who ate the fat of their slaughterings,
They fleeced the flock for their own benefit.

60. And drank the wine of their drink offering?

60(b) Let them arise and help you,

61. Let it be a hiding-place for you!

61(b) Dev 32:39 ‘See now that I, I am He,

62. And there is no Elohim besides Me.

62(b)  I put to death and I make alive.

63. I have wounded, and I heal.

63(b)  And from My hand no one delivers!

64. Dev 32:40 ‘For I lift My hand to the heavens,

64(b) And shall say: As I live forever,

65. Dev 32:41 If I have sharpened My flashing sword,

65(b) And My hand  takes hold on judgment,
An upraised hand with a sword in it speaks of an eminent judgment.

66.  I shall return vengeance to My enemies,

66(b)  And repay those who hate Me.

67. Dev 32:42  I make My arrows drunk with blood,

67(b)  And My sword devours flesh,

68.  With the blood of the slain and the captives,

68(b)  From the long-haired enemy chiefs.
Heb - From the head of the enemy commander – this could be a reference to the anti messiah along with a host of demonic powers that will be unleashed upon the earth in the last days.

69. Deu 32:43  “O nations, acclaim His people *****
Should read “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”

“Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.” is not found in the Masoretic text (500CE).
Explanation:
4 Q is a reference to the Dead Sea Scroll which shows that the Masoretic text which we now use, was tampered with to hide direct references to the Messiah. The Septuagint also bears witness to the tampering. (The Septuagint was a translation by 70 rabbis of the Tenach into Greek 200 years before Messiah appeared) The Masoretic text dates from around 500 C E.
In  Heb 1:6  And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”
Now, if the Apostolic scriptures repeat these words in Deuteronomy 32:43, shouldn't we?

69(b) For He avenges the blood of His servants

70. And returns vengeance to His adversaries,
Should read “will retaliate against those who reject him”
Yahshua is returing to destroy the enemies of YHVH.

70(b) And shall pardon His land, His people.”
Should read “ and will cleanse their land”
Heb – and a propitiary shelter (kipper) will be found in the land of His people.
Conclusion.
Psa 119:92 If Your Torah had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-‘Olam,asher natan lanu Toraht-emet,v’chay-yeh o’lam nata-b’tochenu. Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn ha-Torah. Ameyn.”

(Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst.Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Ameyn.)
