Blessing for the Torah:
Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-O’lam, asher
bachar banu m’kol ha-amim,
v’natan lanu eht Torah-to. Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn
ha-Torah. Ameyn.”
(Blessed are you, YHVH, our Elohim , King of the Universe,
you have selected us from among all the peoples,
and have given us your Torah.
Blessed are you, YHVH, giver of the Torah. Ameyn.)
This Torah portion once again brings us face to
face with the most serious issue of our times - the restoration of all things.
Act 3:19 “Repent therefore and turn back, for the
blotting out of your sins, in order that times of refreshing might come from
the presence of the Master,
Act 3:20 and that He sends יהושע Messiah,
pre-appointed for you,
Act 3:21 whom
heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters,
of which Elohim spoke through the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of
old.
Act 3:22 “For
Mosheh truly said to the fathers, ‘יהוה your Elohim
shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear
according to all matters, whatever He says to you.
Act 3:23 ‘And it
shall be that every being who does not hear that Prophet1 shall be
utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Footnote: 1Deut. 18:18-20.
Act 3:24 “And likewise, all the prophets
who have spoken, from Shemu’ĕl and those following, have also announced these
days.
Act 3:25 “You are sons of the prophets, and of the
covenant which Elohim made with our fathers, saying to Aḇraham, ‘And in your
seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.’
Act 3:26 “To
you first, Elohim, having raised up His Servant יהושע, sent Him to
bless you, in turning away each one of you from your wicked ways.”1
Footnote: 1See 2:38.
What are the matters concerning us?
The
Ruach of YHVH is preparing the long separated brothers of Yisrael to come
together again. Almost all those who call themselves believers and seekers
after the truth are ignorant or unaware of His agenda and continue to replace
His agenda with their own.
It
will serve us well to know that every word of the Torah speaks to us the words
that Messiah would speak to us. Messiah would want to remind us that he is busy
doing whatever it takes for his reconciliation between himself and his brothers
– the tribes of Yisrael.
Yahshua
is not waiting to reconcile himself with the church (where there is the
mixture) – He will only join himself to that which is set apart and called by
his Father – Restored Yisrael.
The anti messiah is waiting to reconcile himself with the
church and every other major religion of the world that is willing to enter
into an immoral anti Torah covenant with him.
The restoration of all things or the “tikkun olam”
is the one issue that will identify the true seekers after the truth – this is
the very heart of Hebraic thinking and restoration. This concept of “Tikkun
olam” runs deep within Jewish thinking – the following quote is taken from
Wikepedia – italics my own – also put the Restored Names in.
“Tikkun olam (תיקון עולם ) is a Hebrew phrase that means
"repairing the world" (or "healing the world") which
suggests humanity's shared responsibility to heal, repair and transform the
world.
The phrase tikkun olam is included in the Aleinu , a Jewish prayer that is traditionally
recited three times daily. The Aleinu, said to have been written by the
prophet Joshua, praises YHVH for allowing the Jewish people to serve YHVH, and
expresses hope that the whole world one day will recognize YHVH and abandon
idolatry. The phrase tikkun olam is used in the longer expression l'takken
olam b'malkhut Shaddai, "to perfect the world under YHVH's
sovereignty." In other words, when all the people of the world abandon
false gods and recognize YHVH the world will have been perfected. Alternatively,
being that we share a partnership with YHVH, humanity is instructed to take the
steps towards improving the state of the world and helping others, which
simultaneously brings more honor to YHVH's sovereignty. The word tikkun is grammatically in the gerund (meaning "repair" or "perfection"), and olam means "world"; the two words together (tikkun olam) are in the construct (i.e. genitive), and mean "repair of [the] world". By contrast, the word l'takken (meaning "to repair") is in the infinitive, and so l'takken olam in the Aleinu prayer means "to repair [the] world."
Jews believe that performing of ritual mitzvot (commandments, connections, or
religious obligations) is a means of tikkun olam, helping to perfect the
world, and that the performance of more mitzvot will hasten the coming
of the Messiah and the Messianic Age. This belief dates back at least to the
early Talmudic period. According to Rabbi Yochanan, quoting Rabbi Shim'on bar
Yochai, the Jewish people will be redeemed when every Jew observes Shabbat (the
Sabbath) twice in all its details.
Some explain the power of Shabbat by its effect on the
other six days of the week and their role in moving society towards the
Messianic Age. Shabbat helps bring about the Messianic Age because Shabbat-
rest energizes Jews to work harder to bring the Messianic Age nearer during the
six working days of the week. Because the experience of Shabbat gives one a
foretaste of the Messianic Age, observance of Shabbat also helps Jews renew
their commitment to bring about a world where love and mercy will reign and so bring about tikkun olam. (Shabbat
also helps us reflect on what the Ruach of YHVH wants to do in us and through
us and what He has already accomplished in us through Yahshua Moshiach to bring
about the restoration of all things.)
Some Jews believe that performing mitzvot will
create a model society among the Jewish people, which will in turn influence
the rest of the world. This idea sometimes is attributed to Biblical verses
that describe the Jews as "a kingdom of priests and a set apart
nation" (Exodus 19:5-6) and "a light of the nations" or "a
light to the nations" (Isaiah 42:6 and Isaiah 49:6)”
Gen 43:24 And the man brought the men into Yosĕph’s
house and gave them water, and they washed their feet. And he gave their
donkeys fodder.
Gen 43:25 And they made the present ready for Yosĕph’s
coming at noon, for they heard that they were to eat there.
Gen 43:26 And when Yosĕph came home, they brought him
the present which was in their hand, into the house, and bowed down before him
to the earth.
Gen 43:27 And he asked them about their welfare, and
said, “Is your father well, the old man
of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”
Gen 43:28 And they said, “Your servant our father is in good health, he is still
alive.” And they bowed their heads down and did obeisance.
Gen 43:29 And he lifted his eyes and saw his brother
Binyamin, his mother’s son, and said, “Is this your younger brother of whom you
spoke to me?” And he said, “Elohim show favour to you, my son.”
Gen 43:30 And Yosĕph hurried, for his emotions were
deeply moved towards his brother, and he looked for a place to weep, and
went into his room and wept there.
Gen 43:31 Then he washed his face and came out, and
controlled himself, and said, “Serve the food.”
Gen 43:32 And they set him a place by himself, and them
by themselves, and the Mitsrites who ate with him by themselves, for the
Mitsrites could not eat food with the Heḇrews,
for that is an abomination to the Mitsrites.
Gen 43:33 And
they sat before him, the first-born according to his birthright and the
youngest according to his youth, and the men looked at each other in
astonishment.
Gen 43:34
And he took portions to them from before him, but Binyamin’s portion was
five times as much as any of theirs. And they feasted and they drank with him.
Gen 44:1 And he commanded the one over his house,
saying, “Fill the men’s sacks with food, as they are able to bear, and put each
man’s silver in the mouth of his sack.
Gen 44:2 “And put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth
of the sack of the youngest, and the silver for his grain.” And he did
according to the word of Yosĕph which he spoke.
Gen 44:3 As soon as the morning was light, the men
were sent away, they and their donkeys.
Gen 44:4 And when they had gone out of the city, not
having gone far, Yosĕph said to the one over his house, “Rise up, follow the
men, and when you overtake them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid evil for
good?
Gen 44:5 ‘Is this not the one from which my master
drinks, and with which he indeed divines? You have done evil in what you have
done.’ ”
Gen 44:6 So he overtook them and spoke these words to
them.
Gen 44:7 And they said to him, “Why does my master say
these words? Far be it from us that your servants should do according to this
word.
Gen 44:8 “See, we brought back to you from the land of
Kenaʽan the silver which we
found in the mouth of our sacks. How then should we steal silver or gold from
your master’s house?
Gen 44:9
“With whomever of your servants it is found – he shall die and we shall
become my master’s slaves as well.”
Gen 44:10 And
he said, “Now also let it be according to your words: he with whom it is found
becomes my slave, and you are innocent.”
Gen 44:11
And they hurried, each man let down his sack to the ground, and each
opened his sack.
Gen 44:12
And he searched, with the oldest first and with the youngest last, and
the cup was found in Binyamin’s sack.
Gen 44:13
And they tore their garments, and each man loaded his donkey and went
back to the city.
Gen 44:14
And Yehuḏah and his brothers
came to Yosĕph’s house, and he was still there. And they fell before him on the
ground.
Gen 44:15
And Yosĕph said to them, “What deed is this you have done? Did you not
know that a man like me indeed divines?”
Gen 44:16
And Yehuḏah said, “What do we
say to my master? What do we speak? Or how do we clear ourselves? Elohim has
found out the crookedness of your servants. See, we are my master’s slaves,
both we and he also with whom the cup was found.”
Gen 44:17
But he said, “Far be it from me to do this. The man in whose hand the
cup was found, he becomes my slave. And you, go up in peace to your father.”
Note the concern Yosef has for his
father is closely followed by his special love for his brother. The book of
Yasher tells us that Yosef was revealed to Benyamin before he was revealed to
his other brothers.
Yasher 53:
18 And
he (Yosef) ordered them to bring before him his map of the stars, whereby
Joseph knew all the times, and Joseph said unto Benjamin, I have heard that the
Hebrews are acquainted with all wisdom, dost thou know anything of this?
19 And Benjamin said,
Thy servant is knowing also in all the wisdom which my father taught me, and
Joseph said unto Benjamin, Look now at this instrument and understand where thy
brother Joseph is in Egypt, who you said went down to Egypt.
20 And Benjamin beheld
that instrument with the map of the stars of heaven, and he was wise and looked
therein to know where his brother was, and Benjamin divided the whole land of
Egypt into four divisions, and he found that he who was sitting upon the throne
before him was his brother Joseph, and Benjamin wondered greatly, and when
Joseph saw that his brother Benjamin was so much astonished, he said unto
Benjamin, What hast thou seen, and why art thou astonished?
21 And Benjamin said
unto Joseph, I can see by this that Joseph my brother sitteth here with me upon
the throne, and Joseph said unto him, I am Joseph thy brother, reveal not this
thing unto thy brethren; behold I will send thee with them when they go away,
and I will command them to be brought back again into the city, and I will take
thee away from them.
22 And if they dare
their lives and fight for thee, then shall I know that they have repented of
what they did unto me, and I will make myself known to them, and if they
forsake thee when I take thee, then shalt thou remain with me, and I will
wrangle with them, and they shall go away, and I will not become known to
them.”
Is it possible that in the last days
YHVH will once again reveal to a “Benyamin people” His secret wisdom?
Remember it is within the territory
of Benyamin the most set apart place falls – the kodesh ha kodeshim.
Let us once again consider carefully
the revelation of Messiah who is the “kodesh ha kodeshim” on earth as given to
our brother Shaul.
1Co 2:1 And, when I came to you, brothers, I did not
come with excellence of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the witness of
Elohim.
1Co 2:2 For I resolved not to know any matter
among you except יהושע Messiah and
Him impaled.
1Co 2:3 And I was
with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
1Co 2:4 And my
word and my preaching were not with persuasive words of man’s wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
1Co 2:5 in order
that your belief should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of Elohim.
1Co 2:6 Yet we speak wisdom among those who are
perfect, and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are
being brought to naught.
1Co 2:7 But we
speak the wisdom of Elohim, which was hidden in a secret, and which Elohim
ordained before the ages for our esteem,
1Co 2:8 which no
one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have
impaled the Master of esteem.
1Co 2:9 But as it
has been written, “Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, nor have entered
into the heart of man what Elohim has prepared for those who love Him.”1
Footnote: 1Isa. 64:4.
1Co 2:10 But
Elohim has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all matters,
even the depths of Elohim.
1Co 2:11 For who
among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man that
is in him? So also, the thoughts of Elohim no one has known, except the
Spirit of Elohim.
1Co 2:12 And we
have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from Elohim,
in order to know what Elohim has favourably given us,
1Co 2:13 which we
also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Set-apart
Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual matters with spiritual matters.
1Co 2:14 But the
natural man does not receive the matters of the Spirit of Elohim, for
they are foolishness to him, and he is unable to know them, because they are
spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he
who is spiritual discerns indeed all matters, but he himself is
discerned by no one.
1Co
2:16 For “Who has known the mind of יהוה? Who shall instruct Him?” But we
have the mind of Messiah.
Eph 3:8 To me, the very least of all the set-apart
ones, this favour was given, to bring the Good News of the unsearchable riches
of Messiah among the gentiles,
Eph 3:9 and to make all see how this secret is
administered, which for ages past has been hidden in Elohim who created all
through יהושע Messiah,1
Footnote: 1John 1:3.
Eph 3:10 so that
now, through the assembly, the many-sided wisdom of Elohim might be known to
the principalities and authorities in the heavenlies,
Eph 3:11 according
to the everlasting purpose which He made in Messiah יהושע our Master,
Col 1:15 who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim,
the first-born of all creation.1 Footnote: 1Heb. 1:6,
Rev. 3:14.
Col 1:16 Because in Him were created all that are in
the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
rulerships or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him
and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all, and in Him all hold
together.
Col 1:18 And He is the Head of the body, the assembly,
who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that He might become the
One who is first in all.
Col 1:19 Because in Him all the completeness was well
pleased to dwell,
Col 1:20 and through Him to completely restore to
favour all unto Himself, whether on earth or in the heavens, having made peace
through the blood of His stake.
Col 1:21 And you, who once were estranged and enemies
in the mind by wicked works, but now He has completely restored to favour
Col 1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to
present you set-apart, and blameless, and unreprovable before Him,
Col 1:23 if indeed you continue in the belief, founded
and steadfast, and are not moved away from the expectation of the Good News
which you heard, which was proclaimed to every creature under the heaven, of
which I, Sha’ul, became a servant,
Col 1:24 who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and
fill up in my flesh what is lacking in Messiah’s afflictions, for the sake of
His Body, which is the assembly,
Col 1:25 of which I became a servant according to the
administration of Elohim which was given to me for you, to fill the word of
Elohim,
Col 1:26 the secret which has been hidden from ages
and from generations, but now has been revealed to His set-apart ones,
Col 1:27 to whom Elohim desired to make known what are
the riches of the esteem of this secret among the gentiles: which is Messiah in
you,1 the expectancy of esteem, Footnote: 1See Messiah
in you in the Explanatory Notes.
Col 1:28 whom we announce, warning every man and
teaching every man in all wisdom, in order to present every man perfect in
Messiah יהושע,
Col 1:29 for which
I also labour, striving according to the working of Him who works in me in
power.
Dear brothers and sister we need to get a hold of Shaul’s
revelation of Messiah – the church will not reveal this to us but only the
Ruach of YHVH when we humble ourselves before Him and cry out for His mercy and
true revelation of Messiah.
Shaul
was deeply concerned that many of his day had not grasped the true reality of
the Messsiah and the good news – the same tragedy prevails in our day.
2Co 11:1 I wish that you would bear with me in a
little folly. But indeed, you are bearing with me.
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous for you with a jealousy
according to Elohim. For I gave you in marriage to one husband, to present you
as an innocent maiden to Messiah.
2Co 11:3 But I am afraid, lest, as the serpent
deceived Ḥawwah by his trickery,
so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah.
2Co 11:4
For, indeed, if he who is coming proclaims another יהושע,1
whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit which you
have not received, or a different Good News which you have not accepted, you
put up with it well enough! Footnote: 1Mt. 24:5 & 23-24, John
5:43.
2Co 11:5 For I
reckon that I am not inferior to the most eminent emissaries.
2Co 11:6 But even
if I am unskilled in word,1 yet not in knowledge. Indeed, in every
way we have been manifested among you in all matters. Footnote: 1Or
speech. See also 2 Peter 3: 15-17.
Maybe it is not a co incidence that Shaul was a Benyamite.
Php 3:5 circumcised the eighth day, of the race of
Yisra’ĕl, of the tribe of Binyamin, a Heḇrew
of Heḇrews, according to
Torah a Pharisee,
Php 3:6
according to ardour, persecuting the assembly; according to
righteousness that is in the law, having become blameless.
Php 3:7 But
what might have been a gain to me, I have counted as loss, because of Messiah.
Php 3:8 What
is more, I even count all to be loss because of the excellence of the knowledge
of Messiah יהושע my Master, for whom I have suffered the
loss of all, and count them as refuse, in order to gain Messiah,
Php 3:9 and be
found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that
which is through belief in Messiah, the righteousness which is from Elohim on
the basis of belief,
Php 3:10 to know
Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being conformed to His death,
Php 3:11 if
somehow I might attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Php 3:12 Not that
I have already received, or already been perfected, but I press on, to lay hold
of that for which Messiah יהושע has also laid
hold of me.
Php 3:13 Brothers,
I do not count myself to have laid hold of it yet, but only this: forgetting
what is behind and reaching out for what lies ahead,
Php 3:14 I press
on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of Elohim in Messiah יהושע.
Php 3:15 As many,
then, as are perfect, should have this mind. And if you think differently in
any respect, Elohim shall also reveal this to you.
Php 3:16 But to
what we have already attained – walk by the same rule, be of the same
mind.
Php 3:17 Become
joint imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who so walk, as you have us
for a pattern.
Php
3:18 For many – of whom I have often
told you, and now say to you even weeping – walk as enemies of the stake
of Messiah.
Finally is not profound that it is Judah that brings
Benyamin to his brother Yosef? Is this a
possible return to Jewish thinking before the world will once again recognize
Messiah. Will Judah once again play a
leading role for even this to happen?
The book of Yasher chapter 53:
6 And Judah took
Benjamin by the hand, and they came before Joseph, and they bowed down to him
to the ground.
7 And the men gave the
present unto Joseph and they all sat before him, and Joseph said unto them, Is
it well with you, is it well with your children, is it well with your aged
father? and they said, It is well, and Judah took the record which Jacob had
sent and gave it into the hand of Joseph.
8 And Joseph read the
letter and knew his father's writing, and he wished to weep and he went into an
inner room and he wept a great weeping; and he went out.
9 And he lifted up his
eyes and beheld his brother Benjamin, and he said, Is this your brother of whom
you spoke unto me? And Benjamin approached Joseph, and Joseph placed his hand
upon his head and he said unto him, May God be gracious unto thee my son.
10 And when Joseph saw
his brother, the son of his mother, he again wished to weep, and he entered the
chamber, and he wept there, and he washed his face, and went out and refrained
from weeping, and he said, Prepare food.
“Baruch atah YHVH, Eloheynu, Melech ha-‘Olam,
asher natan lanu Toraht-emet, v’chay-yeh o’lam nata-b’tochenu. Baruch atah YHVH, noteyn

life within our midst. Blessed are you, Yahweh giver of the Torah – Ameyn
