Chag Sameach Succot
Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, who
has given us life, sustained us, and allowed us to reach this season.

Kingdom – 34min

This Jewish Messianic rabbi gives an insightful teaching on
Succoth. I share some of his insights with some additional comments:
Lev 23:39
‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh new moon, when you gather in the
fruit of the land, celebrate the festival of יהוה for seven days. On the first day is a
rest, and on the eighth day a rest. (‘’the festival’’ is the only
time in the Torah where the definite article ‘’the’’ is used)
Lev 23:40
‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees,
branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and
shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim for seven days. (‘’rejoice’’ is also
the only time this word is used to describe a feast)
The sages
tell us “He who sits in the sukkah sits in the shadow of the Faithful
One,
and the wings of the Shekhinah spread over him from above.”
Jer 33:10
“Thus said יהוה, ‘In this place of which you
say, “It is dried up, without man and without beast,” in the cities of Yehuḏah, in the streets of Yerushalayim
that are deserted, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, there
shall once again be heard (this verse describes events in the world just
before the millennial reign of Messiah)
Jer 33:11
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the
voice of the bride, the voice of those who are saying, “Praise יהוה of hosts, for יהוה is good, for His loving-commitment is
forever,” of those who are bringing the offering of praise into the House of יהוה. For I shall turn back the captivity of
the land, as at the first,’ declares יהוה. (this verse describes events at the
beginning of the millennium)
A
Great Multitude from Every Nation
Rev 7:9
After this I looked and saw a great crowd which no one was able to count, out
of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne
and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and palm branches in their
hands,
Rev 7:10
and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Deliverance belongs to our Elohim
who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
This is
possibly not a reference to the millennium but to the beginning of the great
tribulation. Where according to John a remnant of believers will be ‘’transported’’
to a place of safe refuge –
The
Woman and the Dragon
Rev 12:1 And a great sign was seen in the
heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her
head a crown of twelve stars.
Rev 12:2 And being pregnant, she cried out in
labour and in pain to give birth. (chosen messianic remnant)
Rev 12:3 And another sign was seen in the heaven:
and see, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, (World Edomite
government) and seven crowns on his heads. (demonic trinity empowering false
antichrist system)
Rev 12:4 And his tail draws a third of the stars of
the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman
who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Rev 12:5 And she bore a male childa who was
(Gk – action is impending) to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron. Psa_2:9
And her child was caught away to Elohim and to His throne. Footnote: aSee also Isa_26:17,
Isa_66:7, Mic_4:9-10.
Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness,
where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand
two hundred and sixty days.
Rev 12:17
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the
remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the
witness of יהושע Messiah.
This Messianic
rabbi then shared some interesting insights from a miracle Yahshua performed
during Succoth.
Joh 8:12
Therefore יהושע spoke to them again, saying,
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in
darkness, but possess the light of life.”
Joh 9:4 “It is necessary for Me to work the works
of Him who sent Me while it is day – night is coming, when no one is able to
work.
Joh 9:5 “While I am in the world, I am the light of
the world.”
Joh 9:6 Having said this, He spat on the ground and
made clay with the saliva, and applied the clay to the eyes of the blind
man.
Joh 9:7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool
of Shiloaḥ" (which
means Sent). So he went and washed, and came seeing.
One of my conclusions after listening to this Jewish
rabbi was that it feels like there are so many amazing revelations from YHVH’s
Word that we are yet to see.
The single greatest tragedy of our age is that religion
has blinded the eyes of humanity – this too shall come to an end.
May YHVH open a window from heaven to give us life
changing revelation concerning this appointment.
Mishnah Sanhedrin 10:1
“All Israel have a share in the World to Come ..but these
are the exceptions, the people who have no share in the World-to-Come,
even when they fulfilled many mitzvot: One who says: There is no
resurrection of the dead derived from the Torah, and one who says:
The Torah did not originate from Heaven, and an epikoros,
(heretic) who treats Torah scholars and the Torah that they teach with
contempt.
Olam Ha-Ba is the perfected creation in which God’s
presence is fully revealed and the righteous share in His light — the Sabbath
of all history.
