Parashat 55 Portion 2 of ‘’Ha a zinu’’ Deut 32 vs 7-15 – Revelation 2:1-

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein

התגלות המשיח The Revelation of Messiah

The Song of Moses and the Revelation of Messiah will always be the ‘’ultimate reality’’ of the revelation of YHVH’s Kingdom for YHVH’s Called out ones. All other competing realities will be destroyed. There is only one ‘’sacred space’’ where YHVH will engage with all that He has created. All other ‘’spaces’’ that oppose this ‘’space’’  will suffer destruction and eternal damnation.

10.Dev 32:7 “Remember the days of old,

זְכֹר יְמוֹת עוֹלָם (m)

The Song of Moses requires an end time generation to carefully consider the journey of human history - the human condition from the garden of Eden until the apocalypse at the end of this age and the central role the Messiah occupies in all of man’s history and the events that led up to ‘’the day of the Lord’’

10(b) Consider the years of many generations.

בִּינוּ שְׁנוֹת דֹּר-וָדֹר

Understand (gain insight) the years from generation to generation. (m)

We are called to carefully observe and discern mankind’s journey on earth. The only conclusion we can come to, in spite of man’s progress, is that humanity is heading towards a certain and almost complete state of annihilation.

Scripture seems to indicate that there has never been a righteous generation on earth.

Ecc 7:20  For there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and does not sin.

Psa 14:3  They have all turned aside, They have together become filthy; No one is doing good, not even one.

Psa 53:3  They have all turned aside; They have together become filthy; No one is doing good, not even one.

Rom 3:10  As it has been written, “There is none righteous, no, not one! Rom 3:11  “There is no one who is understanding, there is none who is seeking Elohim. Rom 3:12  “They all have turned aside, they have together become worthless. There is none who does good, no, not one.” Psa_14:1-3, Psa_53:1-4.

This human condition will become painfully obvious to the world in midst of the most severe suffering ever known to mankind in the last days when the Song of Moses will be sung.

Mat 24:21  “For then there shall be great distress,[c] such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote: cOr great pressure, or great affliction.

This reality was well known to the ancient prophets of Israel.

Isa 24:3  the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word.

Isa 24:4  The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish.

Isa 24:5  For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torot,[a] changed[b] the law, broken the everlasting covenant.[c] Footnotes: aTorot - plural of Torah - teaching. b Jer_23:36. cSee also Isa_13:9, Isa_13:11, Isa_26:21, Isa_66:24, Mic_5:15, Zep_1:2-18. Isa 24:6  Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Jer 23:20  The displeasure of יהוה shall not turn back until He has done and established the purposes of His heart. In the latter days you shall understand it perfectly.[d] Footnote: dSee Jer_30:24.

11. Verse 7 Ask (plead) your father (m)and let him show you, ( נגד He will make it known to you)

שְׁאַל אָבִיךָ וְיַגֵּדְךָ,

If your father is wise, he will נגד – make known to you this truth - “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them – Jer 6:19

11(b) Your elders, (m) and let them say to you:

זְקֵנֶיךָ וְיֹאמְרוּ לָךְ

Wise elders will tell you the same.

Jer 5:5  “Let me go to the great men and speak to them, for they have known the way of יהוה, the right-ruling of their Elohim.” But these have altogether broken the yoke and torn off the bonds.

The elders have done violence to the Torah (yoke) which has resulted in His people doing whatever they think is right in their own eyes.

Jer 5:18  “But even in those days,” declares יהוה, “I shall not make a complete end of you.

12.Dev 32:8 “When the Most High (m=male) gave the nations their inheritance (allotments)

בְּהַנְחֵל עֶלְיוֹן גּוֹיִם,

After the worldwide destruction of the flood (Gen 6) a surviving remnant of mankind under the guidance of fallen angels decided to try and protect themselves from all future judgments and they built a demonic stronghold in defiance to YHVH.

Gen 11:4  And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens, and make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over all the face of the earth.”

Gen 11:5  Then יהוה came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

Gen 11:6  And יהוה said, “Look, they are one people and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do! And now, they are not going to be withheld from doing whatever they plan to do. Gen 11:7  "Come, let Us go there and confuse their language, so that they do not understand one another’s speech.” Gen 11:8  And יהוה scattered them from there, over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Gen 11:9  That is why its name was called Baḇel,[c] because there יהוה confused the language of all the earth, and from there יהוה scattered them over the face of all the earth. Footnote: cBaḇel is derived from a verb which means “to confuse.”

12(b) When He separated (parted פּרד) the sons of Aḏam, (m)

 בְּהַפְרִידוֹ בְּנֵי אָדָם;

These divisions under demonic control remain on earth until today - In these days we see that the New world Order seeks to establish their defiance against YHVH. Organizations like the United Nations seeks to unite all nations to carry out an evil agenda. The European headquarters in Strasbourg is built like an incomplete tower of Babel. In other words they see their mission on earth to complete this tower in defiance against any future threats of global annihilation of mankind.

13 He set (יַצֵּב appoints) the boundaries of the peoples (m)

יַצֵּב גְּבֻלֹת עַמִּים

These appointed boundaries remain and have always been the cause of wars between nations.

13(b) According to the number of the children (m) of Yisra’ĕl.

לְמִסְפַּר בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

Deuteronomy 32:8 is a verse where textual variations exist, specifically regarding whether the original text referred to "sons of Israel" or "sons of God". The Dead Sea Scrolls (Qumran texts) and the Septuagint (LXX) both support the reading "sons of God" (בני אלהים), while the Masoretic Text (MT) reads "sons of Israel" (בני ישראל). This difference is significant because it impacts the interpretation of YHVH's actions in dividing the nations.

https://cerebralfaith.net/genesis-10-11-the-tower-of-babel-the-fall-of-the-gods-and-the-divine-council-worldview/

The word elohim is a grammatically plural noun for "gods" or "deities" or various other words in Biblical Hebrew such as magistrates rulers and powerful leaders – in the earthly or in the spiritual realm. Ps 82 – YHVH has appointed ‘’elohim’’ possibly the ‘’watchers’’ or fallen messengers we read about in the book of Enoch.

14. Dev 32:9 “For the portion (חֵלֶק (m) of יהוה is His people,

כִּי חֵלֶק יְהוָה, עַמּוֹ

Gen 12 (after events of Gen 11) describes YHVH’s intention of calling a set apart people from all the nations of the earth – Abraham – the first Hebrew.

14(b) Ya’aqov His allotted company or חֶבֶל (m) inheritance

יַעֲקֹב, חֶבֶל נַחֲלָתוֹ.

From the seed of Abraham would come Yakov and his 12 sons who would form the ‘’allotted’’ חבל – measured separated portion which is His inheritance נחלה or family on earth.

15.Dev 32:10 “He found him in a wilderness, (m)

יִמְצָאֵהוּ בְּאֶרֶץ מִדְבָּר

Heb “yimtzeoo” means “he will find him” (Judah)

15(b) And in a wasted, (m) howling (יְלֵל m) desert. יְשִׁמֹן

וּבְתֹהוּ יְלֵל יְשִׁמֹן;

In the midst of the great howling יְלֵל ‘’chaos’’ תֹהוּ of the end times, Judah will find themselves in a desolate ‘’apocalyptic’’ wasteland ישׁימון -devasted by the judgments of the great tribulation.  Jer 4:23 Jerusalem will become astonishingly empty and chaotic  תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ in the last days. See Gen 1:2

16. He encompassed him, (sing) He made him understand,

 יְסֹבְבֶנְהוּ, יְבוֹנְנֵהוּ (masc.verbs)

YHVH will surround (embrace) Judah and Judah will understand.

16(b) He watched נצר (guarded) over him as the apple אִישׁוֹן (m)  of His eye עֵינוֹ m/f

יִצְּרֶנְהוּ, כְּאִישׁוֹן עֵינוֹ

Zec 2:8 (Ps 17:8) For thus said יהוה of hosts (for the sake of esteem He sent me to the nations which plunder you): “For he who touches you touches the apple of My eye.[a] Footnote: a Deu_32:10.

Addressed to Judah in captivity in Babylon – Zech 2:8 -  In the last days of the great tribulation Jerusalem is going to be almost completely destroyed – but after its destruction it will also be completely restored Jer 12:10 – 14; Zech 13:7-14:6

17.Dev 32:11 “As an eagle נֶשֶׁר (m) stirs יָעִיר (awakens) up its nest, קִנּוֹ (m)

כְּנֶשֶׁר יָעִיר קִנּוֹ,

יָעִיר to wake (literally or figuratively) – could this be a preparation before the rapture?  Joe 2:28  “And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh. Joe 2:31  the sun is turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה.  (the final shavuot before Yom Teruah)

17(b) left hand- Flutters יְרַחֵף over its young, עַל-גּוֹזָלָיו (m)

עַל-גּוֹזָלָיו יְרַחֵף

Over His fledglings chicks  גּוֹזָלָיו   of him he is ‘’vibrating’’ יְרַחֵף see Gen 1:2 (set Apart Spirit)

2 Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters – Gen 1:2 see also Jer 4:23  astonishingly vacant and chaotic like a scenes of devastation in an apocalyptic movie

18. Verse 11 Spreading יִפְרֹשׂ  out its wings, כְּנָפָיו  taking them (him) up, יִקָּחֵהוּ - snatch, take away into the wilderness.

יִפְרֹשׂ כְּנָפָיו יִקָּחֵהוּ,

18(b) Bearing (lifting) them on its (his) wings. (pinions)

Rev 12:14  And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, Dan_7:25, Dan_12:7 from the presence of the serpent.

יִשָּׂאֵהוּ עַל-אֶבְרָתוֹ

יִשָּׂאֵהוּ – root ‘’nasa’’ to lift.  עַל-אֶבְרָתוֹ – pinion or outer feathers of the wing.

Additional notes by Rabbi Ginsburgh: “The Messianic Wings”

One of the most potent images in the song of Ha'azinu is the image of the eagle hovering over his nest of fledglings (Deuteronomy 32:11). In this metaphor, YHVH, the eagle, comes to waken the fledglings in his nest, hovers over them, spreads his wings over them and finally lifts them on his wings in redemptive flight through the sky. There are two synonyms for "wings" in this verse: kanaf, whose numerical value is 150, and evrah, whose numerical value is 208. Together, these two words equal 358, the numerical value of Mashiach. The eagle carrying the Hebrew People on his wings is the Mashiach, carrying out his Divine Messianic mission. In the Torah portion of Yitro (Exodus 19:4) God also refers to the redemption from Egypt as redemption "on the wings of eagles." Clearly, the eagle and his wings have messianic implications.

The Hovering Eagle

Before the eagle takes his fledglings on his wings, he must awaken them. The eagle is a massive and powerful bird. If he lands on his nest suddenly, he is liable to crush his fragile fledglings. Thus, our verse illustrates the eagle as hovering over his nest, expressing himself to his fledglings as the most gentle of creatures, manifesting perfect balance and stability. The verb for "hover" rachef, is very rare in the Torah. One of its only other appearances is in the second verse of Genesis, "and the spirit of YHVH hovered over the waters." Our sages explain that this is the spirit of Mashiach. The waters are the waters of teshuvah (repentance), the awakening of the consciousness of the being/soul to return to YHVH. These two expressions of "hovering" are completely complementary. Both point to the awakening of the Hebrew People to the Messianic reality of return to Yahshua. (italics mine)

Understanding the book of the Revelation of Messiah and the end times.

Joh 14:29  “And now I have told you before it takes place, that when it does take place, you shall believe.

The first chapter of Revelation introduces us to the revelation of Messiah. We must all ask ourselves the question: ’Is it possible that our misrepresenting Messiah is one of the primary reasons why judgment is coming upon all mankind? After all, after 2000 years of mankind knowing and teaching about the Messiah the world is in a mess. The church which has taken upon itself to represent the Messiah to the world is divided into over 45000 denominations worldwide – representing more than 2 billion people on earth.

The apostle Paul was concerned about this misrepresentation of Messiah almost 2000 years ago and had the following to say:

2Co 11:3  But I am afraid, lest, as the serpent deceived Ḥawwah by his trickery, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah. 2Co 11:4  For, indeed, if he who is coming proclaims another יהושע,[a] whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different Good News which you have not accepted, you put up with it well enough! Footnote: a Mat_24:5 and Mat_24:23-24, Jhn_5:43.

What is the ‘’simplicity of Messiah’’?

To walk as he walked.

How do we walk as he walked?

We walk in the righteousness of the Torah by the empowering of the Spirit of YHVH.

Rom 8:4  so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

And so, according to this measure Messiah will judge the assemblies who preach and teach about him.

To the Assembly in Ephesus

Rev 2:1  “To the messenger of the assembly of Ephesos write, ‘He who is holding the seven stars in His right hand, who is walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, says this:

Note how Yahshua first gives a revelation about himself before addressing the assemblies.

The seven stars are the seven spirits represented by the seven branch menorah.

Isa 11:2  The Spirit of יהוה shall rest upon Him – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of יהוה, Isa 11:3  and shall make Him breathe in the fear of יהוה. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.

Rev 2:2  “I know your works, and your labour, and your endurance, and that you are not able to bear evil ones, and have tried those who say they are emissaries and are not, and have found them false;

Rev 2:3  and you have been bearing up and have endurance, and have laboured for My Name’s sake and have not become weary.

Rev 2:4  “But I hold this against you, that you have left your first love.

What is the first love? It is the first revelation YHVH first gave you of His Son that caused you to fall in love with Yahshua and were willing to forsake everything in your life to follow Yahshua.

Php 3:7  But what might have been a gain to me, I have counted as loss, because of Messiah.

Php 3:8  What is more, I even count all to be loss because of the excellence of the knowledge of Messiah יהושע my Master, for whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them as refuse, (dung) in order to gain Messiah, (religious people and their traditions can cause you to lose your first love)

Rev 2:5  “So remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I shall come to you speedily and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Ray said they will not make into the millennium if they don’t repent form this. He again said there will not be peace etc in the Millennium except for those who were raptured)

Rev 2:6  “Yet this you have, that you hate the works of the Nikolaites, which I also hate.

Rev 2:7  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes[a] I shall give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise[b] of Elohim.” ’c Gen_2:9, Gen_3:22, Gen_3:24 Footnotes: aThis word (and its noun) is used 17 times in the Book of Revelation. The name Yisra’ěl means to overcome with Ěl. bLit. garden. cSee Rev_22:2 and Rev_22:14.

There is much speculation about the ‘’Nicolations’’ it is safe to say that they were proclaiming a very ‘’convincing’’ truth about the revelation of Messiah to the Messianic assemblies, but in fact it was a deception, it presented itself as the truth in such a way that it obscured the real revelation of Messiah. Some scholars believe this could have been the introduction of the deceptive doctrine of the trinity.  This should serve as a serious warning to us, because when we get Messiah wrong, we get everything wrong.

Mat 24:24  “For false messiahs (anointed ones) and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Mat 24:25  “See, I have forewarned you. Mt 24:4

Scholars believe these seven messianic assemblies will all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah in the heavenly Tabernacle during the 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur – the 10 last days of this age – olam ha ze.

2Co 5:10  For we all have to appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, in order for each one to receive according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.[b] Footnote: bSee Mat_16:27, Jhn_5:29.

To the Assembly in Smyrna

Rev 2:8  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Smurna write, ‘Thus says the First and the Last, Isa_44:6, Isa_48:12 who became dead, and came to life:

Rev 2:9  “I know your works, and pressure, and poverty – yet you are rich – and the blasphemy of those who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but are a congregation of Satan.

Rev 2:10  “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life.

Rev 2:11  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death.” ’d Footnote: dSee Rev_20:6.

Perhaps these include all believers, who were not included in the first resurrection, who will repent during the 10 days of YHVH’s wrath – ‘’ and you shall have pressure ten days’’ These will have to wait for the second resurrection. Possibly some maybe even many in these Messianic assemblies will not be included in the ‘’rapture’’ (being caught up in the air at the end of the tribulation). What will be the judgment criteria?

Joh 14:29  “And now I have told you before it takes place, that when it does take place, you shall believe.

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Amein.

Parashat 55 PORTION 1: ‘’Ha azinu’’ & Sefer ‘’Ha Chazon’’ – The Book of the Revelation

Before we start the new Torah cycle, I decided to take The Song of Moshe out of Parashat 54 and combine it with a bit of a study out of The Book of Revelation. We will call it Parashat 55

Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein

התגלות המשיח The Revelation of Messiah

Rev 15:3  And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones!

The song of Moshe is the song of Mashiach.

Col 1:26  the secret which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His set-apart ones, Col 1:27  to whom Elohim desired to make known what are the riches of the esteem of this secret among the nations: which is Messiah in you, the expectancy of esteem.

1Co 2:6  Yet we speak wisdom among those who are perfect,(Gk dative - by virtue of association it is a forgone conclusion) and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are being brought to naught. 1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of Elohim, which was hidden in a secret, and which Elohim ordained before the ages for our esteem, 1Co 2:8  which no one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have impaled the Master of esteem.

If the rulers of this age had understood the song of Moses they would not have impaled the Messiah.

Line 1.Dev 32:1 “Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;

א  הַאֲזִינוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם, וַאֲדַבֵּרָה;              הַשָּׁמַיִם (m) Gen 1:1

Line1 (b)  and  hear, O earth, The words (sayings) of my mouth. (Left hand side)

וְתִשְׁמַע הָאָרֶץ, אִמְרֵי-פִ    אָרֶץ (f)

Line 2. Dev 32:2 “Let my instruction fall as rain,

ב יַעֲרֹף כַּמָּטָר לִקְחִי,  לִקְחִי (m)

“Allow My instruction to be as a trickling rain”

ערף (araph) means ‘’to drip’’ – like a gentle rain.

Our journey in discovering the teachings and instruction of Torah was meant to be gentle and kind, not condemning and exclusive.

Mat 11:28  "Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.

Mat 11:29  “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings’ Footnote: d Jer_6:16. (finding rest in the ancient paths)

Mat 11:30  “For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.”

Line 2b My sayings shall drop down (to be shed like tears - הֻזַּל) as dew (mist  כַּטַּל )– vs 2 (left side)

תִּזַּל כַּטַּל אִמְרָתִי     אִמְרָתִי (f)

His gentle sayings (Torah) were destined to fall gently on teachable hearts –

…..and every Word becomes a seed and they create life and peace …..

Mat 13:18  “You, then, hear the parable of the sower: Mat 13:19  “When anyone hears the word of the reign, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside. Mat 13:20  “And that sown on rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, Mat 13:21  yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived, and when pressure or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Mat 13:22  “And that sown among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the worry of this age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes fruitless.[d] Footnote: d Luk_21:34, 2Ti_3:4. Mat 13:23  “And that sown on the good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields – some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field, Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel[e] among the wheat and went away. Footnote: eDarnel looks like wheat but is poisonous to man and beast.

Line 3. As fine rain כשׂעירם (misleading translation not found in the Hebrew text)  on the tender plants, vs 2

כִּשְׂעִירִם עֲלֵי-דֶשֶׁא,

‘’Sa'ir’’ was a Hebrew word for "he-goat", and it is not always clear what the word's original meaning might have been. But in early Jewish thought, represented by targumim and possibly 3 Baruch, along with translations of the Hebrew Bible such as the Peshitta and Vulgate, the se'īrīm were understood to be demons.

Line 3(b) And as showers on the grass – עֵשֶׂב – ‘’esev’’ or weeds (see ‘’morfix’’ definition)

וְכִרְבִיבִים עֲלֵי-עֵשֶׂב. Masc. both sides – left and right.

כרביבים or showers of רְבִיבִ prophetic discernment  on ‘’weeds’’  עֵשֶׂב   .

Line 4. Dev 32:3 “For (because) I will call on the Name of יהוה, (m) Why? Because we don’t know how to deal with this problem – see Mat 13:24,25 – weeds have taken over.

כִּי שֵׁם יְהוָה, אֶקְרָא

4(b)   Ascribe  greatness to our Elohim. Only He can do it.

הָבוּ גֹדֶל, לֵאלֹהֵינוּ

Have hope (יָהַב hope m) in the greatness גֹּדֶל of YHVH our Elohim to deal with this problem.

Maculine mouns on both sides – The Messiah will help us.

5.     Dev 32:4 “The Rock! (m)  His work is perfect,

 הַצּוּר תָּמִים פָּעֳלוֹ

1Co 10:4  and all drank the same spiritual drink.(Ruach) For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah.

5(b)  For all His ways are right-ruling, vs 4 Messiah will bring order.

 כִּי כָל-דְּרָכָיו מִשְׁפָּט:

All the rulings and judgments (m) of Moses and Messiah are correct and if we walk in obedience to them, we will overcome the demonic forces, who are determined to resist and confuse us.

6.     An Ěl of truth and without unrighteousness, (moral distortion עָוֶל  ) vs 4

אֵל אֱמוּנָה וְאֵין עָוֶל,

An Elohim (m) of faithfulness without unrighteousness. Is this referring to YHVH or to the Messiah or to both? These sayings were designed to cause us to ask questions about YHVH and His Messiah. In one sense they cannot be separated. ‘’I and my father are one’’ – Jn 10:30; but in another sense it is critical that we recognize YHVH’s sovereignty over all He has created.

6(b) צַדִּיק וְיָשָׁר הוּא.

Messiah is upright יָשָׁר  (m) and a צַדִּיק  adj a righteous one. Masculine nouns on both sides.

Line 7.     Dev 32:5   שִׁחֵת לוֹ לֹא, בָּנָיו מוּמָם: morally corrupt – masc מוּמָם

Deu 32:5  “A twisted and crooked generation has corrupted itself, their blemish, they are not His children (bad translation – maybe the translators were too shocked to consider the implications

Which should literally read “he became perverted and corrupt, not his sons’ for the moral stains of them”. He took moral corruptness upon himself – to take away the moral stains of his sons. This could also read “he became corrupt with the moral stains that were not his but those of his sons.”

7(b)   a generation (m) perverse and twisted (wrestling with itself)” referring to the sons of men -

דּוֹר עִקֵּשׁ, וּפְתַלְתֹּל vs 5

A generation perverse (adj) and twisted and morally torturous. (Masc. adj on both sides)

8.    Dev 32:6 “Do you do this to יהוה, (is this the way you repay Yahveh?) (m)

Hebraic Insights into the book of Revelation.

Heb 1:1  Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, Heb 1:2  has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages,[a] Footnote: a See Jhn_1:3.

Rom 10:4  For Messiah is the goal[b] of the ‘Torah unto righteousness’ to everyone who believes. Footnote: bOr end purpose; consummation and not termination - the final act of making a marriage or relationship complete through intimacy – There were two stages in a Hebrew marriage – the betrothal (Shavuot) before the consummation – (Yom Kippur)

Rev 19:9  And he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true words of Elohim.”

 Prologue

Rev 1:1  Revelation of יהושע Messiah, which Elohim gave Him to show His servants what has to take place with speed. And He signified it by sending His messenger to His servant Yoḥanan,

Rev 1:2  who bore witness to the Word of Elohim, and the witness of יהושע Messiah – to all he saw.

Rev 1:3  Blessed  אשרי is he who reads and אשרי those who hear the words of this prophecy, and guard what is written in it, for the time is near. (contentment awaits those … אשרי)

Greeting to the Seven Churches

The use of the word “churches’’ is problematic – it is nowhere found in the original texts – it is a made up word of uncertain origin and gives a false impression of ‘’replacement theology. The Revelation of Messiah is a thoroughly Hebraic event. At the time of its writing (90CE) there was no ‘’Christian church’’. . There are some 600 references to the ‘’Old Testament’’ scriptures in the book of Revelation.

Rev 1:4  Yoḥanan, to the seven assemblies (ekklēsias in Greek or called out ones or הקהלות  ‘’kehelot’ in Hebrew) that are in Asia: Favour to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is coming, and from the seven Spirits that are before His throne

Rev 1:5  and from יהושע Messiah, the trustworthy witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the sovereigns of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

Rev 1:6  and has made us sovereigns and priests to His Elohim and Father, to Him be esteem and rule forever and ever. Aměn. Ex 19:6, Deut 10:15 1 Pet 2:9

Rev 1:7  See, He is coming with the clouds, Dan_7:13 and every eye shall see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Zec_12:10 Yes, Aměn.

Dan 7:13  “I was looking in the night visions and saw One like the Son of Enosh,[a] coming with the clouds of the heavens! And He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Footnote: aSon of Enosh - This Aramaic term is similar to the Hebrew ‘Ben Aḏam,’ (Son of Aḏam) but not the exact equivalent of it.

This is reference to the “rapture’’ - 1Th 4:16  Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.

1Th 4:17  Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away (Gk ‘’harpazo’’ or ‘’snatched’’) together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. 1Th 4:18  So, then, encourage one another with these words.

The ‘’rapture’’ is a big deal. The term ‘’rapture’’ originates from the Latin word "raptura," meaning "a carrying away, a transport, or a snatching away" At a traditional Jewish wedding, the bride and groom are lifted up on chairs during the ‘’Hora’’ dance

Rev 1:8  “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, Beginning and End,” says יהוה “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (YHVH)

Repeated - Rev 1:11  saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,” and  Rev 1:17  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead, and He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid, I am the First and the Last, Isa_44:6, Isa_48:12.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with (‘’pros’’ toward or pointing to Himself) Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. (This Word also pointed towards the Messiah)

Joh 1:2  He was in the beginning with Elohim. (Gk ‘’pros’’ preposition meaning ‘’toward’’)

‘’with’’ is an unfortunate translation and gives the perception of a ‘’pre incarnate Messiah’’.

From the beginning the Word of Elohim always pointed towards the Messiah and Himself.

Isa 43:10  “You are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.

Isa 43:11  “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.

Col 1:15  who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation.[b] Footnote: b Heb_1:6, Rev_3:14. Col 1:16  Because in (not ‘’by’’)Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him and for Him.[c] Footnote: c Jhn_1:3.

Joh 3:36  “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.”

The book of Revelation is about the revelation of Messiah. Which Messiah? The church messiah has done away with the Torah?

Psa 40:7  Then I said, “See, I have come; In the scroll of the Book it is prescribed for me.

Psa 40:8  I have delighted to do Your pleasure, O my Elohim, And Your Torah is within my heart.”[b] Footnote: b Psa_37:31, Psa_119:11, Isa_51:7, Heb_10:7-9.

See 10 sayings Ex 20 – critical requirement before we can enter into the covenant with YHVH.

Rom 11:32  For Elohim has shut them all up to disobedience, in order to have compassion on all. Rom 11:33  Oh, the depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of Elohim! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways!

Vision of the Son of Man

Rev 1:9  I, Yoḥanan, both your brother and co-sharer in pressure, and in the reign and endurance of יהושע Messiah, came to be on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of Elohim and for the witness of יהושע Messiah.

John the Apostle was the longest-surviving apostle and was banished to the island of Patmos by the Roman authorities after surviving a boiling oil ordeal.

Rev 1:10  I came to be in the Spirit on the Day of יהוה, (the vision is for a future time – the day of YHVH)[a] and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, Footnote: aSee also Isa_13:6, Isa_13:9, Ezk_13:5, Jol_1:15, Jol_2:1, Jol_2:11, Jol_2:31, Jol_3:14, Amo_5:16-20, Oba_1:15, Zep_1:7, Zep_1:14, Mal_4:5, Act_2:20, 1Th_5:2, 2Th_2:2, 2Pe_3:10.

What and when is the ‘’day of YHVH’’? I believe its referring to the time when the seventh trumpet is sounded in the time of the great tribulation. It is important that we understand this to understand what the book of Revelation is saying.

The Seventh Trumpet

Rev 11:15  And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!”[a] Footnote: aSee Rev_12:10, Psa_2:8, Psa_22:28, Dan_2:44, Dan_7:13-14, Oba_1:15-21, Hag_2:22, Zec_14:9.

Rev 11:16  And the twenty-four elders sitting before Elohim on their thrones fell on their faces and worshipped Elohim, (Tabernacle scene)

Rev 11:17  saying, “We give You thanks, O יהוה Ěl Shaddai, the One who is and who was and who is coming, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

Rev 11:18  “And the nations were enraged, Psa_2:1 and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets and to the set-apart ones, and to those who fear Your Name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Rev 11:19  And the Dwelling Place of Elohim was opened in the heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His Dwelling Place. And there came to be lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail. (another Tabernacle scene)

This event (rapture/snatching away/caught up) will take place on a future ‘’Yom Teruah’’ 10 days before ‘’Yom kippur’’

‘’Yamim Noraim, meaning "Days of Awe" in Hebrew, refers to the ten-day period between Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). It's a time for introspection, repentance, and seeking forgiveness for past mistakes. This period is considered the holiest time of the Jewish year. This will be the time when the “books are opened" signifies a period of divine judgment. Three books are said to be opened in heaven, one for the fully righteous, one for the fully wicked, and one for those in between. The fully righteous are immediately inscribed in the Book of Life, while the wicked are written in the Book of Death. The fate of those in between, who comprise the majority, is suspended until Yom Kippur, allowing for a period of reflection, repentance, and potential change.’’ (According to rabbinic teaching)

We must remember when John received this revelation, this ancient Jewish understanding of YHVH’s judgment was most probably well-known and established.

We must also remember that YHVH has given The Messiah ‘’all authority in heaven and on earth’’

Mat 28:18  And יהושע came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Mat 28:19  “Therefore, go and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name[c] of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit,[d] Footnotes: cNote: The singular. D : Not found in the Hebrew Shem Toḇ text, “...and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit.”

Mat 28:20  teaching them to guard all that I have commanded you. And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Aměn.

Shem Tob's Hebrew Gospel of Matthew is the oldest extant (oldest surviving text) Hebrew version of the Gospel of Matthew.

Scholars such as F. C. Conybeare1 have claimed that the Trinitarian baptismal formula of Matthew 28:19 was not original to the text of Matthew.

Matt 28:19 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

In other words, was the phrase in the text "In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" inserted at a later date (say, for example, by the First Nicean Council of AD 325)?

The correct reading of Matthew 28:19 appears to be in Luke 24:47:

Luke 24:47 (NIV)
47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Rev 1:11  saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,” and, “Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven assemblies of Asia – to Ephesos, and to Smurna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodikeia.”

Rev 1:12  And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, Zec_4:2. (another Tabernacle scene)

Rev 1:13  and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Aḏam, Dan_7:13 dressed in a robe down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. Dan_10:5.

Rev 1:14  And His head and hair were white as white wool, as snow, and His eyes as a flame of fire,

Rev 1:15  and His feet like burnished brass, Dan_10:6 as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters. Ezk_1:24, Ezk_43:2. (Daniel and John saw the same vision)

Rev 1:16  And in His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,[b] and His face was as the sun shining in its strength. Footnote: bSee Rev_2:16, Isa_49:2, Heb_4:12.

Rev 1:17  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead, and He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid, I am the First and the Last, Isa_44:6, Isa_48:12.

Rev 1:18  and the living One. And I became dead, and see, I am living forever and ever. Aměn. And I possess the keys of She’ol[c] and of Death. Footnote: cSee Explanatory Notes - She’ol.

Rev 1:19  “Write therefore what you have seen, both what is now and what shall take place after these:

Rev 1:20  “The secret of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lampstands which you saw are seven assemblies.

I believe what John/Yochanan is describing here is a scene and proclamation coming from the Set Apart place in the heavenly tabernacle. We are reminded the Tabernacle is the most taught topic in the Torah.

Chapter two in the book of Revelation is about standing before the judgment seat of Messiah; where believers will be judged based on their actions in this life.

2Co 5:10  For we all have to appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, in order for each one to receive according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.[b] Footnote: bSee Mat_16:27, Jhn_5:29.

Rom 14:10  But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah.

Rom 14:12  Each one of us, therefore, shall give account of himself to Elohim.

To the Assembly in Ephesus

Rev 2:1  “To the messenger of the assembly of Ephesos write, ‘He who is holding the seven stars in His right hand, who is walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, says this:

Rev 2:2  “I know your works, and your labour, and your endurance, and that you are not able to bear evil ones, and have tried those who say they are emissaries and are not, and have found them false;

Rev 2:3  and you have been bearing up and have endurance, and have laboured for My Name’s sake and have not become weary.

Rev 2:4  “But I hold this against you, that you have left your first love.

Rev 2:5  “So remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I shall come to you speedily and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

There is much speculation about the ‘’Nicolations’’ it is safe to say that they were proclaiming a very ‘’convincing’’ truth to the Messianic assemblies, but in fact it was a deception, it presented itself as the truth in such a way that it obscured the real truth. This should serve as a serious warning to us.

Mat 24:24  “For false messiahs (anointed ones) and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Mat 24:25  “See, I have forewarned you. Mt 24:4

The Roman empire which ruled most of the known world at that time referred to these early messianic believers as being a sect of Judaism. They were not known as ‘’Christian churches’’

They were Sabbath-keeping -Torah-observant assemblies.

In these latter days many born again believers are returning to the Hebrew roots of the faith. Many modern day believers will leave Sunday worshipping churches to become part of a world wide awakening to the Hebraic roots of our faith. These seven letters are addressed to them.

I believe these representees of messianic assemblies will all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah in the heavenly Tabernacle during the 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur – the 10 last days of this age – ‘olam ha ze’.

It is possible Yahshua was describing the 10 days of ‘’awe’’ during which time the Revelation 16 judgments will be taking place.

Mat 24:21  “For then there shall be great distress,[c] such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote: cOr great pressure, or great affliction.

Mat 24:22  “And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.

1Th 5:9  Because Elohim did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain deliverance through our Master יהושע Messiah,

Isa 10:20  And in that day it shall be that the remnant of Yisra’ěl, and those who have escaped of the house of Ya‛aqoḇ, never again lean upon him who struck them, but shall lean upon יהוה, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ěl, in truth.

Isa 10:21  A remnant shall return, the remnant of Ya‛aqoḇ, to the Mighty Ěl.

Isa 10:22  For though your people, O Yisra’ěl, be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return – a decisive end, overflowing with righteousness.

Isa 10:23  For the Master יהוה of hosts is making a complete end, as decided, in the midst of all the earth.

Rev 3:10  “Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I also shall guard you from the hour of trial which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

To the Assembly in Smyrna

Rev 2:8  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Smurna write, ‘This says the First and the Last, Isa_44:6, Isa_48:12 who became dead, and came to life:

Rev 2:9  “I know your works, and pressure, and poverty – yet you are rich – and the blasphemy of those who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but are a congregation of Satan.

Rev 2:10  “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life.

Rev 2:11  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death.” ’[d] Footnote: dSee Rev_20:6.

Perhaps these include all believers, who were not included in the first resurrection, who will repent during the 10 days of YHVH’s wrath – ‘’ and you shall have pressure ten days’’ These will have to wait for the second resurrection. Possibly some maybe even many in these Messianic assemblies will not be included in the ‘’rapture’’. What will be the judgment criteria?

To the Assembly in Pergamum

Rev 2:12  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Pergamos write, ‘He who has the sharp two-edged sword, says this:

Rev 2:13  “I know your works, and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is. And you hold fast to My Name, and did not deny the belief in Me, even in the days in which Antipas was My trustworthy witness, who was killed near you, where Satan dwells.

Rev 2:14  “But I hold a few matters against you, because you have there those who adhere to the teaching of Bil‛am, who taught Balaq to put a stumbling-block before the children of Yisra’ěl, to eat food offered to idols, and to commit whoring. (teaching for profit and recognition from men)

Rev 2:15  “So you also have those who adhere to the teaching of the Nikolaites, which teaching I hate.

Rev 2:16  “Repent, or else I shall come to you speedily and fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

Rev 2:17  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a renewed Name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

Hidden manna is possibly a reference to the provision for an end time remnant during the great tribulation that will come upon the whole earth.

Blessed are you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst. Blessed are you, YHVH giver of the Torah. Amein.
