9 He who causes his ear to abolish the
hearing of Torah, even his prayer is an abomination – Prov 28:9

Psa 119:18 Open my eyes, that I might see Wonders from
Your Torah.
If we are living in the end times then understanding
YHVH’S Word – Torah – and walking – halacha – the way Messiah came to reveal to
us IS THE MOST IMPORTANT HUMAN ACTIVITY ON EARTH.
Our weekly
portion:
Gen 41:1 And it came to be, at the end of two years’
time, that Pharaoh had a dream, and saw him standing by the river,
The
river Nile was the central focus of Egyptian society and worship (water
spirits). Today the global economy and politics, forms the focus of society and
religious activity of most humans living on the planet. (Rev 13:13-18)
In
a restored Hebraic world, the way of a Torah observant remnant will be the
focus of all society and worship. This is the dream of a genuine Father
pleasing end time generation, who are being conformed into the image of Messiah
Yahshua.
Perhaps
this Torah portion give us a hint – Remez – that we are the generation living “two
thousand years after Messiah’s first coming that will usher in his second
coming – “it came to be after the end of two years” This is also where this
Torah portion gets its name – Miketz or “at the end…” Strongs 7093 can also
mean “at the end of time.” BDB.
Act 3:21 whom heaven needs to receive until the times
of restoration of all matters, of which Elohim spoke through the mouth
of all His set-apart prophets since of old.
Is this the time of the restoration of Torah as it was always meant to
be?
Gen 41:2 and saw seven cows coming up out of the
river, fine looking and fat, and they fed amongst the reeds,
Gen 41:3 then saw seven other cows coming up after
them out of the river, ugly and lean of flesh, and stood by the other cows on
the bank of the river.
Gen 41:4 And the ugly and lean of flesh cows ate up
the seven fine looking and fat cows. Then Pharaoh awoke.
Gen 41:5 And he slept and dreamed a second time and
saw seven heads of grain coming up on one stalk, plump and good,
Gen 41:6 and saw seven lean heads, scorched by the
east wind, coming up after them.
Gen 41:7 And the seven lean heads swallowed the seven
plump and complete heads. Then Pharaoh awoke and saw it was a dream.
Gen 41:8 And it came to be in the morning that his
spirit was moved, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Mitsrayim and
all its wise men. And Pharaoh related to them his dreams, but there was no one
who could interpret them for Pharaoh.
Gen 41:9 Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh,
saying, “I remember my crimes this day.
Gen 41:10 “When Pharaoh was wroth with his servants,
and put me in confinement in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and
the chief baker,
Gen 41:11 each one of us dreamed a dream in one night,
he and I. Each of us dreamed according to the interpretation of his own dream.
Gen 41:12 “And there was with us a Heḇrew youth, a servant
of the captain of the guard. And we related to him, and he interpreted our
dreams for us. To each man he interpreted according to his own dream.
Gen 41:13
“And it came to be, as he interpreted for us, so it came to be. He
restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”
Gen 41:14
Then Pharaoh sent and called Yosĕph, and they hurriedly brought him out
of the dungeon. And he shaved and changed his garments, and came to Pharaoh.
Gen 41:15
And Pharaoh said to Yosĕph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one
to interpret it. Now I myself have heard it said of you that you understand a
dream, to interpret it.”
Gen 41:16
And Yosĕph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me, let Elohim answer
Pharaoh with peace.”
Gen 41:17
And Pharaoh said to Yosĕph, “See, in my dream I stood on the bank of the
river
Gen 41:18
and saw seven cows coming up out of the river, fine looking and fat, and
they fed amongst the reeds,
Gen 41:19
then saw seven other cows coming up after them, poor and very ugly and
lean of flesh, such ugliness as I have never seen in all the land of Mitsrayim.
Gen 41:20
“And the lean of flesh and ugly cows ate up the first seven, the fat
cows.
Gen 41:21
“Yet when they had eaten them up, no one would have known that they had
eaten them, for they were as ugly as at the beginning. Then I awoke.
Gen 41:22
“Also, I looked in my dream and saw seven heads coming up on one stalk,
complete and good,
Gen 41:23
then saw seven heads, withered, lean, scorched by the east wind, coming
up after them.
Gen 41:24
“And the lean heads swallowed the seven good heads. And I spoke to the
magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”
Gen 41:25
And Yosĕph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. Elohim has
shown Pharaoh what He is about to do:
Gen 41:26
“The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven
years – it is one dream.
Gen 41:27
“And the seven lean and ugly cows which came up after them are seven
years, and the seven empty heads scorched by the east wind are seven years of
scarcity of food.
Gen 41:28
“This is the word which I spoke to Pharaoh: Elohim has shown Pharaoh
what He is about to do.
Gen 41:29
“See, seven years of great plenty are coming in all the land of
Mitsrayim,
Gen 41:30
but after them seven years of scarcity of food shall arise and all the
plenty be forgotten in the land of Mitsrayim. And the scarcity of food shall
destroy the land,
Gen 41:31
and the plenty shall not be remembered in the land, because of the
scarcity of food following, for it is very severe.
Gen 41:32
“And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the word is
established by Elohim, and Elohim is hastening to do it.
The dream was repeated twice. Perhaps this refers
to the first and second coming of Yahshua.
There is a disparity in some of the facts when the
dream is repeated. Why? The sages say the difference is significant.
Perhaps vs 31 holds a key. If we are to believe
that during the first seven year period there is not only the opportunity to
“download” Torah as it was meant to be downloaded according to the second
writings but also to walk and live the Torah as it was meant to be lived as
recorded in the second writings.
Vs 31 may suggest that it will be impossible to do
so during the second seven year period of famine. In other words there may be a
severe hostility against knowing and walking according to the true Torah of Messiah
during the final seven year great tribulation.
There is going to be a great shaking in the last
days and many who think they will stand, will fall.
Heb 12:25 Take heed not to refuse the One speaking. For
if those did not escape who refused the warning on earth, much less we who turn
away from Him from heaven,
Heb 12:26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now He
has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the
heaven.”
Heb 12:27 And this, “Yet once more,” makes clear the
removal of what is shaken – as having been made – so that the unshaken matters
might remain.
Heb 12:28 Therefore, receiving an unshakeable reign,
let us hold the favour, through which we serve Elohim pleasingly with reverence
and awe,
Heb 12:29 for indeed, our Elohim is a consuming fire.
1Co 10:11 And all these came upon them as examples, and
they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of the ages have come,
1Co 10:12 so that he who thinks he stands, let him take
heed lest he fall.
1Co 10:13 No trial has overtaken you except such as is
common to man, and Elohim is trustworthy, who shall not allow you to be tried
beyond what you are able, but with the trial shall also make the way of escape,
enabling you to bear it.
1Co 10:14 Therefore, my beloved ones, flee from
idolatry.
Idolatry is clearly all and any activity that
hinders the proper grasp and walk of the Torah in our lives.
Many
will argue that it is the manifestation of Yahshua that is most important in
the last days. There can be no genuine and lasting manifestation of Messiah
outside of Torah.
Gen 41:33
“And now, let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man, and set him
over the land of Mitsrayim.
Gen 41:34
“Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, to
take up one-fifth of the land of Mitsrayim in the seven years of plenty.
Gen 41:35
“And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming,
and store up grain under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the
cities.
Gen 41:36
“And the food shall be for a store for the land for the seven years of
scarcity of food which shall be in the land of Mitsrayim, and do not let the
land be cut off by the scarcity of food.”
Gen 41:37
And the word was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his
servants.
If we examine the parable of this dream – it seems that the “revival of
Torah” takes place in Mitsrayim/Egypt.
The Torah was originally given outside of Yisrael. Perhaps a believing remnant
will bring back the fullness of the Torah to the remnant of Yisrael in the last days and then only will all
Yisrael be saved.
Rom 2:24 For “The Name of Elohim is blasphemed among
the gentiles because of you,” as it has been written.
Rom 2:25 For circumcision(Jewishness) indeed profits
if you practise the Torah, but if you are a transgressor of the Torah, your
circumcision has become uncircumcision. (become like a gentile)
Rom 2:26 So, if an uncircumcised (non Jew) one watches
over the righteousnesses of the Torah, shall not his uncircumcision(non
Jewishness) be reckoned as circumcision(true Jewishness)?
Rom 2:27 And the uncircumcised by nature, who perfects
the Torah, shall judge you who notwithstanding letter and circumcision are a
transgressor of the Torah!
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Yehuḏite who is so
outwardly, neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
Rom 2:29 But
a Yehuḏite is he who is so
inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart,1 in Spirit, not
literally, whose praise is not from men but from Elohim. Footnote: 11
Cor. 7:19, Ex. 19:5, Dt. 10:12-16, Dt. 30:6-8.
We cannot pick and
choose what we want to believe in the Torah.
1Co 7:19 The circumcision is naught, and the
uncircumcision is naught, but the guarding of the commands of Elohim does
matter!1 Footnote: 1Rom. 2:26-29.
Jas
2:10 For whoever shall guard all the
Torah, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
Who or what are the “grain storage silos” in our parable? Perhaps a few
small messianic communities ardent for all of the Torah, reflecting the image
of the true Messiah to the world.
What does it really mean to be conformed into the image of Yahshua? Are
we willing to walk as he walked?
Isa 53:3 despised and rejected
by men, a man of pains and knowing sickness. And as one from whom the face is
hidden, being despised, and we did not consider(esteem) Him.

Isa 6:8 And I heard the voice of יהוה, saying, “Whom
do I send, and who would go for Us?” And I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isa 6:9 And He
said, “Go, and you shall say to this people, ‘Hearing, you hear, but do not
understand; and seeing, you see, but do not know.’
Isa 6:10 “Make the
heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they
see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart,
and shall turn and be healed.”
Isa 6:11 Then I
said, “יהוה, until when?” And He answered, “Until the
cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, and the houses are without a man,
and the land is laid waste, a ruin,
Isa 6:12 and יהוה has removed men far away, and the forsaken
places be many in the midst of the land.
Isa 6:13 “But
still, there is a tenth part in it, and it shall again be for a burning, like a
terebinth tree and like an oak, whose stump remains when it is cut down. The
set-apart seed is its stump!”
