Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has made us set apart through His commandments and commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of the Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, Giver of the Torah – Amein
האזינו השׁמים
To better understand this Torah portion, we need to look at the end time
scenario when this song will be sung by the survivors of the great tribulation.
Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Mosheh the
servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are
Your works, יהוה Ěl
Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart
ones!
We notice
Moshe calls heaven and earth to witness these prophetic warnings. He then
contrasts YHVH’s faithfulness with the corrupt ways of His chosen people. YHVH
had chosen Israel from all the people of the earth but ‘’Jeshurun’’ grew fat
and forsook the Elohim who made them and spurned the rock of their salvation –
therefore YHVH hid His Face from Israel and declared: Deu 32:21 “They made Me jealous
by what is not Ěl, They provoked Me with their worthless matters. But I
make them jealous by those who are no people,
בלא־עם
I provoke them with a foolish nation. בגוי נבל.
Moreover
because of their disobedience YHVH will drive them into exile (galut) by sword
and persecution. Both young and old will be ravished by disease and the cruelty
of many enemies. In fact if it had not been for YHVH’s concern for His
reputation amongst the goyim, He would have destroyed Israel from the face of
the earth: Deu 32:26 “I
said, ‘I should blow them away, I should make the remembrance of them To cease
from among men, Deu 32:27 If I did not fear the enemy’s taunt, Lest
their adversaries misunderstand, Lest they say, “Our hand is high, And יהוה
has not done all this.” ’
Israel should, therefore, realize that is only through
YHVH’s providence and kindness that they are sustained as a people to this very
day.
Despite the calamities and misfortunes of YHVH’s people
who would suffer a long exile, ‘’Ha azinu’’ ends with the promise that YHVH
would avenge the blood of His servants and would finally be reconciled with His
chosen people in the land given to Abraham. YHVH’s faithful love for Israel is
assured. The portion ends with Moshe ascending Mount Nebo so that he could see
the promised land before he died.
Some Sages claim that the entire prophecies of
Isaiah and Jeremiah were deeply inspired and modelled after the words of this
song of Moshe.
The
Wickedness of Judah
Isa 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and listen, והאזיני O earth! For יהוה has spoken, “I have
reared and brought up children, but they have transgressed against Me.
Isa 1:3 An ox knows its owner and a donkey its
master’s crib – Yisra’ěl does not know, My people have not understood.”
Isa 1:4 Alas, sinning nation, a people loaded with
crookedness, a seed of evil-doers, sons acting corruptly! They have forsaken יהוה,
they have provoked the Set-apart One of Yisra’ěl, they went backward.
Isa 1:5 Why should you be stricken any more? You
continue in apostasy! All the head is sick, and all the heart faints.
Isa 1:6 From the sole of the foot, to the head,
there is no soundness in it – wounds and bruises and open sores; they have not
been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment.
Isa 1:7 Your land is laid waste, your cities are
burned with fire, strangers devour your land in your presence. And it is laid
waste, as overthrown by strangers.
Isa 1:8 And the daughter of Tsiyon is left as a
booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged
city.
Isa 1:9 Unless יהוה of hosts had left to
us a small remnant, we would have become like Seḏom, we would have been made like Amorah.
Jer
30:11 For I am with you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to save you. Though I make a complete end of all nations
where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a complete end of you. But I
shall reprove you in judgment, and by no means leave you unpunished.’ וְנַקֵּה לֹא אֲנַקֶּךָּ
‘’not hold you innocent repeated twice. (you are not innocent children of YHVH,
truly you are not innocent)
The
sages expressed concern that this song hints at another “deity”, and have
“altered” parts of the text to try and avoid this confusion. There has
been much confusion over this song.
In the ‘’sefer Torah’’ this song is written in 70 lines
in two different columns.

Note the
Hebrew word “give ear” is “ha azinu” it is a hiphyl imperative verb. The Hebrew
word used here for ‘’speak’’ is “ve adaberah” this is a cohortative verb which
means that the speaker wishes to emphasize desire and intention. The words that
are about to be spoken are extremely important. ‘’For your own sake you better
listen to them very, very carefully.’

of YHVH’s teaching was meant to be taken.

the se'īrīm were understood as demons.

corrupt with the moral stains that were not his but those of other sons.”
In verse 5
the English translation is difficult to separate because words from both the
right and the left side of the scroll are mixed up - Is corruption

associated with the story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis. This number

Additional
notes by Rabbi Ginsburgh: “The Messianic Wings”
One of the
most potent images in the song of Ha'azinu is the image of the eagle hovering
over his nest of fledglings (Deuteronomy 32:11). In this metaphor, YHVH, the
eagle, comes to waken the fledglings in his nest, hovers over them, spreads his
wings over them and finally lifts them on his wings in redemptive flight
through the sky. There are two synonyms for "wings" in this
verse: kanaf, whose numerical value is 150, and evrah,
whose numerical value is 208. Together, these two words equal 358, the
numerical value of Mashiach. The eagle carrying the Hebrew People on his wings
is the Mashiach, carrying out his Divine Messianic mission. In the Torah
portion of Yitro (Exodus 19:4) God also refers to the redemption from Egypt as
redemption "on the wings of eagles." Clearly, the eagle and his wings
have messianic implications.
The
Hovering Eagle
Before the
eagle takes his fledglings on his wings, he must awaken them. The eagle is a
massive and powerful bird. If he lands on his nest suddenly, he is liable to
crush his fragile fledglings. Thus, our verse illustrates the eagle as hovering
over his nest, expressing himself to his fledglings as the most gentle of
creatures, manifesting perfect balance and stability. The verb for
"hover" rachef, is very rare in the Torah. One of its
only other appearances is in the second verse of Genesis, "and the spirit
of YHVH hovered over the waters." Our sages explain that this is the
spirit of Mashiach. The waters are the waters of teshuvah (repentance),
the awakening of the consciousness of the being/soul to return to YHVH. These
two expressions of "hovering" are completely complementary. Both
point to the awakening of the Hebrew People to the Messianic reality of return
to Yahshua. (italics mine)
Touching
and Not Touching
In
Chassidut the hovering of the eagle is referred to as "touching and not
touching." The eagle is able to simultaneously touch and not touch,
allowing his fledglings to awaken little by little, in accordance with their
ability to grasp his presence. The power to touch is the power to be involved –
to inspire the other. Not touching allows the other free choice so that his
being/soul can awaken by itself in its desire to ascend toward YHVH. The eagle
-- Mashiach -- inspires us while simultaneously and paradoxically allowing us
to slowly integrate the new Messianic reality at our own, individual pace.
The Song
of the Wings of the Eagle
The Hebrew
word for "eagle" is nesher; nun, shin, reish.
The final two letters of nesher spell shar, which means
"song." More than any other word in the song of Ha'azinu, the
word shar is the essential syllable of nesher.
There are two types of song: verbal song (including poetry) and melody. In
Hebrew, "song," which includes poetry, is called shir, as
represented by the Hebrew letters shin and reish of nesher.
The Hebrew word for "melody" is nigun, which begins with
a nun, the first letter of nesher. Thus, nesher is
an acronym for the two types of song. Our sages teach that when the eagle
approaches his nest he beats his wings to create a song, gently preparing his
fledglings for his arrival. To arouse the souls of the Hebrew People and
the entire world, each person with his own spark of Mashiach must possess the
power of poetry and melody inherent in the eagle.
The Nest
Our verse
describes the eagle as arousing (the fledglings in) his nest. Our sages teach
that the Mashiach sits in a nest in the Garden of Eden, waiting to redeem the
world. The Hebrew word for "nest" is ken, which is
cognate to tikun -- "rectification," and also kinyan --
possession. The most perfected possession is the Torah of Mashiach, the song of
the wings of the eagle, which begins to resonate as he approaches his
fledglings. This Messianic Torah will bring about our rectification as
the eagle approaches his nest to gently -- touching and not touching -- arouse
his waiting fledglings.
All for
the Best
The word
for "fledglings" in our verse is gozalav, whose root
is gimel, lamed, zayin. These letters are
an acronym for a very basic phrase "Gam zu letovah," which
means: "This too is for the best." The fledgling waiting to be lifted
onto Messianic wings must be awakened to the consciousness that whatever
happens to us is for the best, and will ultimately lead to the true and
complete redemption. End quote.

This
‘’harvest of souls’’ will be accompanied by very great feast for believers who
will celebrate the riches of all the ill gotten gain and gold of unrighteous
beings – both natural and demonic.
‘’Just as Yahweh and his people celebrated with a
feast the god’s defeat of the chaos-monsters (which re-created the world and
returned it to its initial state of purity), so shall Yahweh and his people
celebrate with a feast at his defeat of the Devil (which will create a new
world free from all impurity)”.
Indeed, the Feast of Tabernacles itself becomes the cosmic
eschatological banquet. This cosmic feast is already mentioned in the Isaianic
Apocalypse when, after he has swallowed up Death,
On this Mountain, Yahweh of Hosts will make for all peoples
a feast of rich food, a feast of
well-aged wine,
of rich food full of marrow, of
aged wine well refined. (Is 25:6, ESV) (see also Is 24)
In apocalyptic texts, this festival, the celebration of
Yahweh’s defeat of Chaos, is aggrandized to the cosmic festival at the end of
time, celebrating Yahweh’s defeat of the Devil.

In the

attention to a hidden meaning – Elohim or demonic gods.

Yamim Noraim, meaning "Days of Awe" in
Hebrew, refers to the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in
Judaism. It also encompasses the ten-day period between these two
holidays, known as Aseret Yemei Teshuva (Ten Days of Repentance). This
period is a time for introspection, self-evaluation, and seeking forgiveness
for the past year.

YHVH’s help
is in Messiah, sealed up in an end time remnant.

has everyones attention – Humanity has become completely helpless to save
itself.
58(b) Dev 32:37 “And He shall say,

מֵרֹאשׁ
פַּרְעוֹת
אוֹיֵב
Heb - From
the head of the enemy אוֹיֵב commander פַּרְעוֹת – this could be a reference
to the anti messiah along with a host of demonic powers that will be unleashed
upon the earth in the last days.
69. Deu 32:43 “O nations,
acclaim His people *****
הַרְנִינוּ
גוֹיִם עַמּוֹ
Shout out for joy הַרְנִינוּ
the nations of Him
Should
read “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”
“Let all
the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.” is not found in the Masoretic
text (500CE).
Explanation:
4 Q is a
reference to the Dead Sea Scroll which shows that the Masoretic text which we
now use, was tampered with to hide direct references to the Messiah. The
Septuagint also bears witness to the tampering. (The Septuagint was a
translation by 70 rabbis of the Tenach into Greek 200 years before Messiah
appeared) The Masoretic text dates from around 500 C E.
In
Heb 1:6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says,
“Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”
הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ-לוֹ, כָּל-אֱלֹהִים. Heb 1:6
bow down (worship) to Him (Yahshua) all you Elohim.
Now, if
the Apostolic scriptures repeat these words in Deuteronomy 32:43, shouldn't we?
69(b) For He avenges נקם the blood of His servants
כִּי דַם-עֲבָדָיו יִקּוֹם
70. And
returns vengeance to His adversaries, צר his
oppressors vs 43
וְנָקָם
יָשִׁיב לְצָרָיו
Could
also read “will retaliate against those who reject him”
Yahshua
is returning to destroy the enemies of YHVH – both demonic and human.
70(b) And shall pardon His land, His
people.”
וְכִפֶּר
אַדְמָתוֹ עַמּוֹ
Should
read “ and will cleanse their land”
Heb – and a
propitiary shelter (כִפֶּר kipper) will be found in the
land of His people.
Perhaps
referring to the day of Yom Kippur.
This is
where the 70 th line of the two colums stop. (Pehaps a reference to a future
Yom ha kippurim)
Deu 32:44 Then Mosheh came, with Hoshěa son of Nun,
and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people.
Deu 32:45 And when Mosheh ended speaking all these
words to all Yisra’ěl,
Deu 32:46 he said to them, “Set your heart on all
the words with which I warn you today, so that you command your children to
guard to do all the Words of this Torah.
Deu 32:47 “For it is not a worthless Word for you,
because it is your life, and by this Word you prolong your days on the soil
which you pass over the Yarděn to possess.”
Moses' Death Foretold
Deu 32:48 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh that
same day, saying,
Deu 32:49 “Go up this mountain of the Aḇarim, Mount Neḇo, which is in the land of
Mo’aḇ, which is opposite
Yeriḥo, and look at the
land of Kena‛an, which I give to the children of Yisra’ěl as a
possession,
Deu 32:50 and die on the mountain which you ascend,
and be gathered to your people, as Aharon your brother died on Mount Hor and
was gathered to his people,
Deu 32:51 because you trespassed against Me in the
midst of the children of Yisra’ěl at the waters of Meriḇah Qaḏěsh,
in the Wilderness of Tsin, because you did not set Me apart in the midst of the
children of Yisra’ěl.
Deu 32:52 “For you are to look at the land before
you, but not enter there, into the land which I am giving to the children of
Yisra’ěl.”
If Moshe did not make it into the Promised Land – what
chance do you and I have?
Our only hope is in the Messiah.
1Co
15:19 If in this life only we have expectation in Messiah, we are of all
men the most wretched. (the best is yet to come – in His kingdom it only
gete better and better)
Blessed are
you YHVH, our Elohim, King of the Universe, you have given us your Torah of
truth, and have planted everlasting life within our midst.Blessed are you, YHVH
giver of the Torah. Amein.)

Dead Sea Scrolls - The War Scroll - Apocalyptic War
Against Belial and the Sons of Darkness
The Bible explicitly mentions a "Book of the Wars of
the Lord" in Numbers 21:14-15. This book is described as
containing poetic accounts of God's victories over Israel's enemies,
potentially including victory songs, curses, and other literary
genres. While this book is quoted in the Bible, it is not included as a
separate book within the standard canon.
Additional Information:
- The
"Book of the Wars of the Lord" is also referenced in other
biblical texts, such as Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, which mention the
"Book of Jashar".
- Some
scholars believe the "Book of the Wars of the Lord" and
"Book of Jashar" may be the same or closely related works.
Rev 12:4 And his tail draws a third of the stars of
the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman
who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Rev 12:7 And there came to be fighting in the
heaven: Miḵa’ěl and his
messengers fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his messengers
fought,
Rev 12:8 but they were not strong enough, nor was a
place found for them in the heaven any longer.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that
serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He
was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him.
The final end time of this age where the forces of good
led by the arch angel Michael in war against the demonic forces led by Belial.
