Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, You have set us apart by Your commandments and have commanded us to actively study Your Torah. Please YHVH, our Elohim, sweeten the words of Your Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Israel. May You open our eyes to see marvellous truths from Your Torah. Thank You for calling us who were once gentiles excluded from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise having no expectation and without Elohim- but now through the blood of Messiah we have gained access into the covenant and have obtained citizenship into the commonwealth of Israel. Blessed are You, YHVH, Who teaches Torah to His people Israel. Amein

Despite our condition and disobedience

כי תוליד – when you will bring forth children…
In the previous
Torah portion we saw how Moshe was pleading (va etchanan) with YHVH – In this
Torah portion it seems to be YHVH pleading (va etchanan)
The evidence that His people are
listening and obeying is witnessed in the lives of their children because of a
powerful impartation of YHVH’s truth (Torah) to the children and to the children’s
children generation after generation.
This reality should deeply concern all
those who are believers and desire to please the Father – because it has not
happened in any sustained form ever in the history of mankind.
Perhaps the reason for this condition is
that mankind has wrapped himself up with a cloak of idolatry to avoid facing
the truth.
Rom
1:18 For the wrath of Elohim is revealed from heaven against all
wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in
unrighteousness,
Rom

Elohim has manifested it to them.
Rom
1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible qualities
have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, both His
everlasting power and Mightiness, for them to be without excuse,
Rom
1:21 because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as
Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their
undiscerning heart was darkened.
Rom
1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom

of an image of corruptible man, and of birds and of four-footed
beasts and of reptiles.
Rom
1:24 Therefore Elohim gave them up to uncleanness in the lust of their
hearts, to disrespect their bodies among themselves,
Rom

and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.

If the
Messiah is going to teach the Torah to all the nations when he returns why are
we not doing it today?
Because
the Messiah knows the truth of this Torah portion – He knows that the most
powerful witness on earth is when
families are united in His truth and His Torah – generation after generation.
The world has never seen this before – but it soon will.
Isa
2:2 And it shall be in the latter days that the mountain of the House of יהוה is established on the top of
the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations
shall flow to it.
Isa
2:3 And many peoples (no longer just a remnant)shall come and say, “Come,
and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ, and let Him teach us His ways,
and let us walk in His paths, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the
Word of יהוה from Yerushalayim.”
Eventually
the blessing of the remnant will be extended to bless all the nations.
YHVH will
help us - Deu 4:30 “In your distress, when all
these words shall come upon you in the latter days, then you shall return to יהוה your Elohim and shall obey His
voice.
Cities
of Refuge – even
during the millenium….
Deu 4:41 Then Mosheh separated
three cities beyond the Yarděn, toward the rising of the sun,
Deu 4:42 for a man-slayer to flee
there, he who unknowingly murdered his neighbour, without having hated him in
time past, and might flee to one of these cities and live:
Deu 4:43 Betser in the wilderness
in the level land for the Re’uḇěnites, and Ramoth in Gil‛aḏ for the Gaḏites,
and Golan in Bashan for the Menashshites.
Despite the overwhelming goodness of
YHVH and the restoration of family life there will still be premeditated as
well as accidental homicides taking place during the Messianic rule on earth
How does one understand this? Because YHVH knows there will always be people
who reject His truth and His love -
never his bride - It is hard to believe, but it is true – this also applies to
children who grow up in loving kindness and are know the ways of YHVH – they
too must choose for themselves whether they want to obey and continue to serve
YHVH and honour their parents.

In the millennial rule of Messiah – the
world drastically changes – righteous families are established for all
generations that do not depart from YHVH’s Torah, who walk in all His ways.
Introduction
to the Law
Deu 4:44 And this is the Torah
which Mosheh set before the children of Yisra’ěl.
Deu 4:45 These are the witnesses,
and the laws, and the right-rulings which Mosheh spoke to the children of
Yisra’ěl after they came out of Mitsrayim,
Deu 4:46 beyond the Yarděn, in the
valley opposite Běyth Pe‛or, in the land of Siḥon sovereign
of the Amorites, who dwelt at Ḥeshbon, whom Mosheh and the children of Yisra’ěl had stricken after
they came out of Mitsrayim.
Deu 4:47 And they took possession
of his land and the land of Oḡ sovereign of Bashan, two sovereigns of the Amorites, who were
beyond the Yarděn, toward the rising of the sun,
Deu 4:48 from Aro‛ěr, which is on
the bank of the wadi Arnon, even to Mount Siyon, which is Ḥermon,
Deu 4:49 and all the desert plain
beyond the Yarděn as far as the Sea of the Araḇah, below the
slopes of Pisgah.
And that is why we do the Torah portions
– it is YHVH’s way of uniting and guiding families and communities to walk in
harmony and in truth and in so doing brining blessings and light to all the
families of the earth. It is in this environment that we will experience a 1
Cor 12, 13 &14 community – Where YHVH Himself commands the blessing – Ps

There is amazing
example in the scriptures of a set apart family who walked in the ways of YHVH.
For several generations they refused to assimilate into the ways of ungodly
people.
https://www.gotquestions.org/Rechabites.html
The Rechabites (also Recabite, Rekabite)
were a nomadic people
group known for their strict rules to abstain from wine, from building houses,
from sowing seed, and from planting vineyards (Jeremiah
35:6–7). The Rechabites were faithful to abide by these rules through the
generations, all the way from the time of Jehu (2
Kings 10:15) to the time of Jeremiah (Jeremiah
35:8–10)—over 200 years.
The Rechabites were descendants of Rechab (or Recab or Rekab), a Kenite and thus
related to the Midianites and
Moses’ family by marriage (see Judges
1:16). According to Jeremiah
35:6, the Rechabites’ strict rules were put in place by a son (or
descendant) of Rechab named Jehonadab (or Jonadab). This is the same Jehonadab
who helped Jehu rid Israel of Baal-worship after the time of Ahab (2
Kings 10:15–27). Scholars have differing opinions as to why Jehonadab
implemented the rules, but many believe he sought to preserve the primitive
lifestyle of his nomadic forebears.
God used the faithfulness of the Rechabites to teach an important lesson to His
people. The Lord told Jeremiah, “Go to the Rekabite family and invite them to
come to one of the side rooms of the house of the LORD and give them wine to
drink” (Jeremiah 35:2). The prophet gathered the Rechabites into
the house of the LORD and set bowls of wine in front of them (verses 3–5). The
Rechabites firmly declined the wine and explained the command of their
forefather (verse 6). They remained faithful to their family tradition.
God then told Jeremiah to go and tell the people of Judah to learn a lesson
from the Rechabites’ faithful obedience to Jehonadab (Jeremiah
35:12–14). God contrasted the obedience of the Rechabites to the
disobedience of His own people. Again and again God had sent His prophets to
tell the Israelites to turn from their wicked ways, but the people had not
heeded God’s Word. “The descendants of Jehonadab son of Rekab have carried out
the command their forefather gave them, but these people have not obeyed me”
(verse 16).
As a result of the Israelites’ historic disobedience, God promised to bring
disaster upon the nation (Jeremiah
35:17). But God commended the family of the Rechabites and gave them a
promise: “Jehonadab son of Rekab will never fail to have a descendant to serve
me” (verse 19).
There is much to learn from this family. The Rechabites stood firm against
assimilating into the culture of the time. They were commended by God for
their faithfulness and
obedience to their father. The Rechabites are an example of steadfastness. God
desires His people to live in obedience and steadfastness to Him.
Wisdom is known by her children.
Rom
3:11 “There
is no one who is understanding, there is none who is seeking Elohim.
c. There
is none who seeks after God: We deceive ourselves into thinking that man,
on his own, really does seek after God. But don’t all the religion and rituals
and practices from the beginning of time demonstrate that man seeks after God?
Not at all. If man initiates the search then he doesn’t seek the true God, the
God of the Bible. Instead he seeks an idol that he makes himself.
i.
“You have gone through this form of worship, but you have not sought after God.
I am sick of this empty religiousness. We see it everywhere; it is not
communion with God, it is not getting to God; indeed, God is not in it at all.”
